Lage ist nur ein Teil dieser großartigen Ferienhütte in den Bergen mit einer ruhigen Lage in den Bäumen mit einem ebenen Zugang. Diese zweistöckige Hütte hat ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Holzofen, gut ausgestattete Küche ohne Geschirrspüler, Essbereich, 4 Schlafzimmer, ein Loft und 3 Bäder. Es gibt 2 Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss, jedes mit einem Kingsize-Bett und Kabel-TV. Im Obergeschoss gibt es auch 2 Schlafzimmer, jedes mit einem Kingsize-Bett und Kabel-TV. Das Hauptschlafzimmer hat auch einen Videorecorder. Offene Loft-Bereich im Obergeschoss verfügt über 2 Etagenbetten und ein Twin-Size-Schlafsofa und ein TV mit VCR / DVD-Player. Toller Ort für Familien mit Kindern. Hochstuhl und Kinderlaufstall vorhanden. Waschmaschine / Trockner, Mikrowelle, WiFi, Propan BBQ (nur im Sommer). Blue Lake Springs Rec Center Nutzung im Sommer in der Kabinenvermietung enthalten (mit zusätzlichen täglichen Gastgebühr). Great cabin in lovely area.

The cabin was roomy and the property was beautiful. Close to Arnold, Big Trees, Murphys, etc… Heater worked great and wood stove with lots of fire wood was a nice treat.

Beautiful location!

This cabin was wonderful for our large family! We felt comfortable and cozy here! We loved playing in the snow and taking walks in the quiet neighborhood! We would stay here again!

Love the spencer cabin

We stay here a few times a year but love our summer stays. We BBQ and spend lazy days at the pool and lake. The space is no frills, but beds are comfy and it is a great layout for multiple families. Can't wait for our next visit

Perfect Place for Big Families

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Spencer Cabin. There was plenty of space for the whole family, and the location was idyllic. The huge amount of puzzles and the vintage aesthetic were both big bonusses as well. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to bring the whole family (and extended family) for a stay in the mountains. You really can't go wrong for the price.

Enjoyed our stay

Cabin was cute and cozy. Tucked up in the hills a bit away from the highway. Was wonderful for our group. The only thing was the descriptions online vs contract vs what was in the binder at the cabin say different things about bedding, what's included, and a few other things. But all in all it was a nice stay, we love the area and playing in the snow!

Great cabin for a family reunion.

It was a step back in time to an 80’s style cabin. Lots of room with 4 master bedrooms and a loft upstairs with two sets of bunk beds for the kids. The cabin features two patios for relaxing and dining. A beautiful gas grill was available for us to bbq. Great location to Calaveras Big Trees and 23 miles to Lake Alpine past Bear Mountain.

Clean neat...just what we needed. Fortunately I noticed there was no reference to air conditioning so we brought fans....a must in hot weather and ours was record breaking. Might reference that on description. Very happy with property. Thank you.

The internet quality was worse on second floor as well as when multiple users try to use internet. This could be caused by old router/wireless access point which could be upgraded by owner. Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We made the best of it, but I would not rent this cabin again. It's dark and has no deck to speak of. That said, it has plenty of bedroom space. Also there are no window coverings in the bedrooms on the second floor which made for early morning wake ups! There are TVs in all the bedrooms, but not in the living room. We were there during the world cup, and had to pile into a bedroom to watch (after we had to fix the cable connection--thank goodness we had a TV expert with us or we would have ended up in some bad bar in Arnold! ;)) Were I the owner, I would 1. build a deck along the side of the house (without a roof, which the tiny deck that's there has--we took the chairs off the deck and sat under the trees), 2. put up window coverings on the second floor, 3. open up the first floor to make it brighter (i.e., take out the wall between the kitchen and the living room with the cupboards that are mostly empty anyway, except for the gazillion puzzles--we did enjoy doing a puzzle during our stay, and 4. put a TV in the living room.

This guest was informed that there was no tv in the living room, but that there is a television set in each of the bedrooms. Many owners of cabins in the area elect to have covered decks to alleviate the snow load that has to be moved in the winter. We will forward the comments about the window coverings to the owner, though often times owners do leave window coverings off homes in the mountains to afford better views of the surrounding forests. Cabinets are often left open for guest use during their stays. All cabins do come equipped with basic cutlery, dishes, cookware, and glasses for guest use.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were definitely things that we liked about this home. Loved that all four bedrooms had king size beds and that there was an additional bedroom with four bunk beds. The top bunks had no rails - so for the under 5 year olds that we had, top bunks were out. This is an older cabin, just what we expected, but the cabin was not clean. My grandson was finding dead bugs in the carpet. There was juice spilled on the kitchen floor (first day) and when my daughter cleaned it, the rest of the floor looked as if it had not been cleaned in weeks. I mentioned this to the management company, and there response was that the cabin is dated. Dated and dirty are two different things. When you pay for cleaning and have an extensive check list for cleaning when you leave, have to take your garbage to another town, have no linen service, and come into a dirty house - I thought cost for cleaning was a rip off. This cabin sleeps up to 12, but the dining room only seats 6 -7 and that is very tight. There is also only a very small deck and VERY small table outside - not room enough to eat together there either. The worst is that there were no blinds on the upstairs windows, so if you want to sleep in past 5:30 AM - bring a sleep mask! It was especially hard, because the room for the kids had no blinds, so the entire family was up by 5:30 - 6:00 AM every morning. Loved the Blue Lake Springs area!

Fun for the whole family - plenty of space.

Check in and out was super simple. There was a lot of space for everyone inside and outside of the cabin. I had children ages 5-17 staying with us and we had a blast. Lots of board games and puzzles in the cabinet. There are no towels at the cabin so you do have to bring your own which j was not aware of until after booking I’m sure it is mentioned somewhere in the listing but I didn’t see it and the dryer does not work which isn’t great for winter stays. The only thing I would say was dirty was behind furniture (and only found this out because my kids were playing hide and seek) all in all we had a blast the cabin was clean and we all had a blast. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Cabin.. could use a few updates.

Everything was great however it could use a few updates. The stove top took forever to heat up unless you had the heat up all of the way and the dishwasher was pretty dirty on the inside. It could use some new living room furniture and better lighting. But overall was with the money for the rental.

Perfect mix of retro and modern

This cabin is lovely, in a beautiful wooded area, very spacious and cozy. You can either have a vintage experience, or you can plug in everything to have all the comforts of the modern world. My guests and I all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was room for everyone to be in a common area, yet space enough to have your privacy when needed. Would definitely return to this cute cozy abode.

So much space!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was well appointed and had everything we needed for cooking. It was much bigger than we expected and the bunk room had plenty of space to play games and for the kids to hang out. Perfect for a couple of families with kids. It’s a great location in Arnold. The only thing that would make it better would be a patio set outside for dinning. The mattress in the master bedroom is very firm and not very comfortable but that’s what I expect in a cabin. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the space and location of this cabin! Definitely would come back.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We made the best of it, but I would not rent this cabin again. It's dark and has no deck to speak of. That said, it has plenty of bedroom space. Also there are no window coverings in the bedrooms on the second floor which made for early morning wake ups! There are TVs in all the bedrooms, but not in the living room. We were there during the world cup, and had to pile into a bedroom to watch (after we had to fix the cable connection--thank goodness we had a TV expert with us or we would have ended up in some bad bar in Arnold! ;)) Were I the owner, I would 1. build a deck along the side of the house (without a roof, which the tiny deck that's there has--we took the chairs off the deck and sat under the trees), 2. put up window coverings on the second floor, 3. open up the first floor to make it brighter (i.e., take out the wall between the kitchen and the living room with the cupboards that are mostly empty anyway, except for the gazillion puzzles--we did enjoy doing a puzzle during our stay, and 4. put a TV in the living room.

This guest was informed that there was no tv in the living room, but that there is a television set in each of the bedrooms. Many owners of cabins in the area elect to have covered decks to alleviate the snow load that has to be moved in the winter. We will forward the comments about the window coverings to the owner, though often times owners do leave window coverings off homes in the mountains to afford better views of the surrounding forests. Cabinets are often left open for guest use during their stays. All cabins do come equipped with basic cutlery, dishes, cookware, and glasses for guest use.

Spencer - Great place for big groups

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and plenty of parking. Spacious place with lots of bedding (4 king beds!). Was disappointed with the stove, original installation (antiquated) with only one of the four burners that would work.
