Das Dean Way Chalet ist eine große und einladende Hütte mit drei geräumigen Ebenen, in denen Sie sich ausbreiten und genießen können. Das Chalet liegt mitten in den Sierras und ist das ganze Jahr über von wunderschönen großen Bäumen umgeben! Die Hütte befindet sich in Blue Lake Springs in Arnold, Kalifornien, und wartet auf Sie und Ihre Freunde und Familie!

Das Chalet verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer, plus ein Loft, plus eine volle untere Ebene mit Hobbyraum, Schlafsofa und Tischtennisraum! Sie können bequem 12-13 Körper in Betten schlafen!

Das Skigebiet Bear Valley ist nur 25 Minuten von der Hütte entfernt! Sowohl im Winter als auch im Sommer ist es eine fabelhafte, familienfreundliche Alternative zu geschäftigen Tahoe-Resorts und eine VIEL einfachere Fahrt! Außerhalb dieser speziellen Hütte sind Sie im Sommer nur wenige Schritte von zwei Seen mit Stränden entfernt und haben Zugang zu all der fabelhaften Erholung, die Blue Lake Springs zu bieten hat. Tennis, Basketball, Schwimmbäder, Shuffleboard, organisierte Aktivitäten für Kinder, Bingoabende, Filme im Freien, Spielplatz, Volleyball, Snowflake Lodge Restaurant und vieles mehr! Ganz zu schweigen vom nahe gelegenen Calaveras Big Trees State Park und zahlreichen Golfplätzen. Im Winter liegt rund um die Hütte Schnee und zahlreiche Sno-Parks, Langlaufloipen und natürlich das Bear Valley!

Natürlich müssen Sie das Chalet überhaupt nicht verlassen, um einen wunderschönen Urlaub in den Bergen zu verbringen. Die Möglichkeiten sind endlos - Sie können auf dem geräumigen Deck grillen und die hohen Bäume rund um die Hütte bewundern, im Winter rund um die Hütte im Schnee spielen (Schlitten sind vorhanden), Feuer machen und Spiele spielen im Inneren (Puzzles, Spiele und Brennholz sind ebenfalls vorhanden) oder Sie können auf der authentischen Sesselliftschaukel schwingen, die vom Deck hängt. Unsere Gäste sagen uns, dass es immer ein Highlight ihres Urlaubs ist, einfach in der Hütte abzuhängen!

The cabin was cozy and good for a large family. The owner responded to my concerns in a timely manner. I had to contact them about some appliances not working (dishwasher). It was hot the weekend we were there and the refrigerator was old and barely kept cold, causing some of our food to go bad and had to be thrown away. My ice cream I bought in town turned to soup. We knew there was no A/C but some fans were not working and the ones that were working were very dusty. Maybe this is more of a winter cabin. When we were cleaning up we found leftover food under the furniture that was not from us. Overall the cabin was fun for a family getaway and we enjoyed the blue lake pool and beach area. But this cabin is in desperate need of updates, such as appliances, curtains on the bedroom windows(maybe black out ones would help with the heat) and screen doors on the downstairs main doors. The listing said there might be bats. I was very surprised there was no keurig. That is somewhat standard these days especially when you have a large group. This place is cute but needs some investment back into it for upgrades. Our family still had fun and made some great memories.

We enjoyed our stay at the Dean Way Chalet! Plenty of room for all. Wifi worked great, owner was helpful and accessible for questions, overall a nice experience. Luckily it wasn’t too hot and there were plenty of fans, due to no AC. We really liked the game rooms and outdoor stuff for our day at the Blue Lake Springs Recreation area. We participated in a special event there, the Cardboard boat Regatta, which was a blast!

Great cabin

Thankful there's wifi, otherwise you can't call other people. Cabin does get a little warm. My daughter came up and wanted to stay overnight (not the original plan) and contacting Sadra was easy, to get a hold for adding my daughter and granddaughter to the list of overnight visitors. Cooking was easy, beds are super comfy, cute little swing under the house for looking at the stars. TV's were easy to use. We had a large group, my kids, my mom, granddaughter (infant), and my friend and her son. All ages and everyone was well accommodated. Thanks for the great experience!Ps. I reccommend going to the free lake right off the highway, turn at Giant Burgers :)

Easy to get to off of Hwy 4. Accurate listing. Lots of space for group, lower level game rooms a nice perk! Could use a deep clean in some areas, but overall reasonably clean.

Family Getaway

Check in was easy, communication was great. We come to Arnold every year in a large group. Best to bring everything you'll need as far as hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels. The house had very minimal but it was also noted in the rental agreement as such may not be enough. The house could ues a deep clean more so than just a wipe down. There was plenty of pillows, bring extra blankets, as each bed excluding the futon has only 1 We'd stay again.

Family snow trip

This house was just perfect for our group of 3 families with kids ranging from 5 to 13. The downstairs game rooms were a hit, house had everything you could need, and there was so much room to spread out. It had a cozy comfortable feel. Hope to stay here again!

Great place to Stay!

The check in process was really fast,as soon as we get in we were excited to explore the place, place are good except for the bathroom toilet, it looks like they didn’t used that for a while so stain stayed but i’m sure it’ll came off after more cleaning.And don’t forget to bring your own towels and bed sheets.!The bedrooms are perfect for us and have some spaces for other kids,basement are perfect for the kids and adults with couple of games to choose from,Just a concerned about the lock, I wish they have a lock inside the door downstair in the future, so it’s okay to leave the kids down .The kitchen was great! All the things we need were there.We did a lot of cooking and grilling outside and it was awesome! There was a wifi ,but really hard to get a service outside.Overall our stayed were great! The host Sandy’s amazing! Recommended!

Lots of space and great for kids!

Highly recommend the property to a big group wanting to stay together. Beds were comfortable. Make sure to read the listing bc you need to bring your own towels and sheets. Fortunately, our friends were coming up after us and were able to bring them for us as well. Cleaning could have been a little more thorough as some of the dishes had food stuck on them and there were a lot of cobwebs on the lights. That is probably the only place I could knock this property bc otherwise it was a great place to stay. :)

Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!

We stayed here for Christmas with our family. And had an absolutely WONDERFUL time. The cabin was spacious and very clean. Lots of beds and two large game rooms for kids to play in downstairs. Overall just fantastic experience. Sandy helped us out and was so very good to work with us to accommodate our large family. We enjoyed the cabin IMMENSELY. It exceeded our expectations!! We definitely plan to book again! 100% recommend to anyone.

Such a good house!

This house was amazing! There were lots of sleeping options which was good for our 2 families of 4. The kids were able to watch movies and play games in the downstairs game room while adults can be upstairs. The scenery was beautiful and was very peaceful in the morning. The layout was great and we loved the open concept.

Avoid this unit during Summer!

Cons: Unbearable heat inside the unit. Fans provided were of no use ( either broken with safety hazard or good for one person just like personal usb fan). Temp inside the unit was 86 F at 1 AM. We travelled withs mall children and spending night was miserable. BBQ grill was all dirty and greasy Its old house and you may expect things that way Host charged for garbage disposal despite we securely close the lid for outside enclosure and excess trash was also securely kept in kitchen to avoid encounter with animals. Host should mention about the heat wave and that the house is not equipped to host people in this heat wave but there was no communication. Pros: Location was alright with greenery. After sending several emails, we decided to checkout as it was so bad, host asked us to buy more fans for second night. We had to spend our vacation to go to store and buy fans for them.

Nice place, great communication

We really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for two families and our teens enjoyed the downstairs rooms. It was very hot when we visited, so we appreciated the fans they provided.

We are two families from the Bay Area who own this vacation rental together. We have owned the cabin since 2007, and we have spent every year making improvements and updating things so that our guests have great experiences. We also enjoy the cabin with our (5 total) children when it is not rented out. There is so much to do in Arnold, and our cabin makes for an easy, special getaway. The kids love the ping pong and in winter, the sledding right outside. In summer, we spend a lot of time floating on the lakes!
