Great spot in Deutschtown! An excellent café is two blocks away, and a great bar is also nearby. Lots of restaurants and shops are an easy walk away. Mattress Factory too! Grace was a very attentive host. I’d stay here again.

The bnb is in a very central area, only about 10-20 minutes away from any locations of interest. The provided washer and dryer do function, however the ceiling of the basement they are located in is a bit low, so tall travelers be careful. The bnb also gets VERY hot in the summer, especially in the attic space with the two separate beds. All in all, I believe that the experience myself and fellow vacationers had at the bnb itself was satisfactory given the affordable price. If you're looking for a place to spend entire days without going out, I would look elsewhere. But if you just need a spot to drop your luggage and sleep, this will satisfy that requirement.

Pros: the beds were comfortable, the kitchen and living area were large, and we were able to walk to many places.Cons: there were only 2 towels for 4 people, and no hand towels. When I asked for more towels, I was told more would be delivered the next morning (so much for showering in the evening); we never received more. Only two of the three bedrooms had window air conditioner units. The one toilet seemed to be leaking as the floor next to it was spongy, making the toilet seem unstable. The glass I took out to use had a large crack in it. The shower fixtures were not securely attached to the wall. In general, the place needs some TLC.

We appreciated the dedicated off-street parking, and Grace was responsive when needed. Unfortunately, there were quite a number of issues with the accommodations.The house did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned between guests. There were food remnants in the kitchen sink drain, heavy dirt and grime on the kitchen fans, and a noticeable odor upon arrival.There were several maintenance issues. One living room couch was unusable; a front corner was resting on the floor, and we later found the leg broken underneath. The shower drain backed up, leaving about four inches of water during a five-minute shower. There was also no drain stopper in the bathroom sink.Basic amenities were lacking. There were no hand towels. A bath mat was provided, but it was in a bedroom rather than the bathroom. No shampoo, conditioner, or body wash was provided.Each queen bed had only one very thin pillow. We found a couple of extras, but this would have been an issue if all beds were occupied. There were no extra blankets or linens.Of the two second-floor bedrooms, only one had A/C. It had to be run on high to help cool the other bedroom, leaving that room cold with only a sheet. There were also no bedside lamps, only overhead lights, making the rooms completely dark at night.Overall, the parking and host responsiveness were positives, but there were too many cleanliness, maintenance, comfort, and amenity issues for us to consider this a satisfactory stay.
