Beautiful scenic views! Comfortable beds and a lot of fun activities. Easy access to area adventures, good food, and unforgettable hikes. Sit out on the spacious deck and watch the glorious sunsets every night! House information was hard to find. Could have used more instruction on how to use certain things, and what was and wasn’t available. Hosts were quick to respond to questions. Recommend staying here for a family or just a romantic get-away for two.

We booked Jason and Vanessa’s Unwind Cabin in Mars Hill at the last minute for a quick one-night getaway, and it ended up being absolutely amazing and money well spent. The cabin truly had everything we needed. There were so many activities and amenities that we never felt the need to leave, and honestly, we didn’t. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, played games, relaxed, and were able to watch both the sunset and sunrise, all during a single night’s stay. Our goal was simply to get away for a night, relax, and unwind, and this place delivered exactly that. Mission accomplished. There was actually so much to do that we couldn’t fit everything into one trip. Next time, we’ll definitely make time to enjoy more of the additional amenities in the area, including the spa, fitness center, and ski resort.Jason and Vanessa have created a great place to escape, relax, and enjoy yourselves without having to go anywhere. We would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed this beautiful mountain cabin with our two kids and dogs and had the BEST time! The view from the cabin is just stunning and we enjoyed soaking in the hot tub on the porch a FEW times! The kids (my husband included) thoroughly enjoyed the game room. The owners were so communicative and attentive. I really appreciated their thoroughness! We can’t wait to go back!

Very nice property; spacious and large. Few things to note: (1) needs a deep cleaning. Sheets were not cleaned especially the truffle bed. Plastic bottle under sofa, hair scrunches in bed , which meant sheets not cleaned. Plenty of utensils but only one frying pan which was nasty and not clean 2) master bathroom, mold in shower so unusable which meant all 6 of us had to share the lower level shower (3) sauna didn’t work. It was unplugged upon arrival so we plugged in but still didn’t work (4) telescope didn’t work either. No biggie but I did find some binoculars near fireplace. (5) trash not taken out by previous occupants

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the spaciousness of our property. We take cleanliness seriously and have addressed the concerns mentioned with our cleaning team. Regarding the master bathroom, the discoloration in the shower was professionally inspected and determined not to be mold. We are nevertheless taking steps to address the appearance and condition of the area. We would also like to clarify that the sauna and telescope were both functioning properly during the stay. The sauna already has operating instructions provided for guests. We appreciate the feedback and will continue to maintain and improve the property for our future guests.

Beautiful views and great amenities for a relaxing week! Owners were incredibly quick to respond to any question. Although we could’ve had plenty to do at the cabin all week, the neighborhood also has lots of trails and backs up to additional trails through the Southeastern Trust for Parks and Land. The 4 teens in the group enjoyed the courts and activities down at the community center. The ladies there were super helpful with area recommendations too. For additional adventure I recommend Navitat zip tours and the Rocky Fork state park.

my family and I stayed from thursday to sunday a total of 9 of us and our small dog. The cabin definitely needs some deep cleaning and curtains in the shower changed (due to mildew). The cabin its self is spacious and well decorated. The hill it sits on is very very very steep so be very cautious when renting this cabin bc if you cannot get your car up/down you’ll be dragging your suits cases up and down which is no fun in the cold/rain/snow.

Thank you for your feedback and for bringing these items to our attention. It helps us check on things that may have been overlooked. We will make sure to replace the shower curtain and review the cabin to ensure everything meets our standards. Regarding the driveway, the steep hill is noted in the property description and is also mentioned in the message sent prior to arrival. Guests are given the opportunity to review this information and cancel if they feel the driveway may not work for them. We appreciate you staying with us and are glad to hear you found the cabin spacious and well decorated.

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful cabin. From start to finish, everything was seamless. The cabin was spotless, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully appointed. You can tell a lot of care went into both the aesthetic and the guest experience. The hosts were transparent about the steep driveway, which we appreciated. With the right vehicle, it was completely manageable and not an issue at all for us. Our kids loved the snow and enjoyed the hot tub in the evening! Clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Gorgeous mountain getaway for a big familyOur group: My husband and I, my parents, 4 teens and our dog— had a really nice stay at the Unwind Cabin. It’s spacious, well-decorated, and had everything we needed. We booked it for the two master king suites, which worked out perfectly for a multi-generational trip. What we liked:Amenities: The kids and my husband loved the game room. We fished in the resort trout pond and used the pool. Because the mountain air was cooler than expected, we also used the hot tub, sauna, and cornhole boards a ton.Day trips: It’s a good base to explore. We hit the Biltmore House, Asheville's River Arts District, and strolled through Burnsville.Rocky Fork hike: A neighbor recommended this trail. It’s only 30 minutes away and was a perfect, easy walk along a creek and waterfalls—very manageable for my mom's bad ankle.Hosts: The owners were super responsive and great communicators.Good to know before you go:The driveway: Easily the steepest driveway we’ve ever seen. It’s no joke, but you get used to it. In the winter, you’d have to park at the bottom.Drive times: To get those mountain views, you are remote. It takes 15 minutes to get down the mountain, 9 minutes to pool and pond, 30 minutes to small towns/hiking, and 1 hour to Asheville. The yard: It's very steep, but there is a small flat patch of grass that worked fine for letting the dog out.Overall, it's an amazing cabin with everything you need for a wonderful family vacation.

First, let me start by saying, a time was had at this beautiful retreat! This house is absolutely stunning! We booked this cabin for a nice relaxing getaway for my family to celebrate my daughter’s milestone birthday. This place understood the assignment. From the extended living experiences on the decks, to the many games in the game room, to the tranquility of the beautiful scenic views of the mountains and sunsets…this place checked every box for my family. This home comes stocked with so many amenities, it is truly a home away from home. The only con for this “city” family was the driveway was a bit intimidating when we arrived. We didn’t know there was a recent snow, but we figured it out quickly. :)The hosts were very responsive to every question and concern. I really enjoyed working with Vanessa. Definitely one of my top stays!

Our group of two adults and five teenagers had an incredible stay, and this property absolutely exceeded our expectations! Finding a place that keeps five teens happy isn’t easy, but the arcade room was a massive hit—it had a great selection of games and a stunning view to boot.Joseph and Vanessa were so kind and responsive, and the Wolf Laurel staff gave us a warm welcome with helpful tips for navigating the mountain fog. We really appreciated the early check-in, which let the kids settle in and start enjoying the perks of the property immediately. The attention to detail made traveling with a large group so much easier. Since GPS is spotty, the detailed navigation pin and the video guide for the steep mountain driveway were lifesavers. Inside, the house was perfectly set up—the stocked pantry made it easy to keep everyone fed, and the video manuals for the tech and amenities meant we didn't have to guess how anything worked. From the inviting decor to the quality bath products, every room felt thoughtful. It was a restful, high-quality experience for all of us, and we’ll definitely be booking this spot again. Thank you for an incredible stay!

Unwine Cabin truly lives up to its name! From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and at peace. The views are absolutely spectacular — the kind that make you stop and just take it all in. The house itself is beautiful, spotless, and perfectly stocked with everything you could possibly need. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the night sky was simply breathtaking — a blanket of stars you don’t often get to see. The Wolf Laurel community is peaceful, scenic, and full of natural beauty. The host was so nice, friendly, and super helpful — always easy to reach and quick to respond. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay or a better host. Highly recommend Unwine Cabin for anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing mountain escape!

The hot tub and sauna did not work. The steepness of the driveway made the property inaccessible. We had to climb up the icy driveway with luggage. The sleds we were told we could use to pull luggage up were totally useless on the ice. We fell many times! We ended up leaving the cabin the next day due to the fact that we were iced in and unable to get to the ski resort. The snow plow was unable to get up the driveway to assist because our cars were parked at the very bottom of the driveway. We had to go up and down the steep icy driveway to load up and get to our cars. This cabin is 100% unsafe in snow/icy conditions! There was no salt or shovel at the property which would have helped getting up and down the driveway. Apart from the icy driveway, the sauna and hot tub not working, there were mouse traps all over the cabin, it was disgusting! There were damp rids hanging in almost every closet full of moisture. The primary bedroom shower was covered in mold. Nobody used the it because of that. We drove 4 hours to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we’re planning to ski all day Saturday. Needless to say, we had to pivot our plans and ended up going to Asheville. The host said they were not liable for any injuries and that they would refund us for the night we didn’t stay. I followed up with them regarding the refund and they said the cleaners needed to go and assess the property to ensure no damages. Then told me that I needed to communicate with VRBO moving forward.

We respectfully disagree with the claims in this review. The hot tub and sauna were inspected immediately after your departure and confirmed fully operational. A new guest checked in the same day and reported no issues with the property or amenities. The steep driveway and winter conditions are clearly disclosed and were communicated multiple times before arrival. Snow removal was completed prior to check-in, and you were offered the option to cancel with a full refund if you were uncomfortable. You chose to stay and requested a full refund only after your departure. After check-out, you demanded that a cleaner return immediately, but weather made it unsafe. During our phone conversation, communication became hostile despite our efforts to assist, and we asked that you work with Vrbo support to resolve the matter. Complaints about your 4-hour drive are unrelated to the property. Mouse traps were preventative, and no evidence of infestation was found. The shower was cleaned and inspected; no mold was present. We stand by the cleanliness, safety, and accuracy of our property, reflected in the many positive reviews from other guests.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Our property is unique because we do our best to give the best experience to our guests by responding as efficiently as possible. Professionally decorated, with amazing amenities and location. And don't forget about the breath taking sunset!!

The sky looks so dark at night that makes the stars so beautiful, especially while soaking in the hot tub. You should try it and tell me what you think.
