The Surf Haus - Arch Cape - Sauna, Hot Tub, Outdoor Shower

The Surf Haus is our family's custom home built with the intention to bring respite and enchantment to the Oregon Coast. We sought out to create a space that is completely immersed in the area's natural environment yet with bespoke 5-star amenities allowing our guests to relax, dine, connect and explore. In the private forested backdrop, immerse yourself in the full spa experience: cedar hot tub, barrel sauna, and outdoor shower.
The home features luxurious touches throughout making this an indulgent and comfortable living space for 4 people with ample outdoor relaxing and dining space with views of the forest and hills.
Meander to our stunning beach on our neighborhood's *secret* pathway along a creek, just minutes away by foot. When you arrive to the expansive view of Arch Cape beach and Castle Rock, you will feel the immediate calm of this ocean retreat! Our beach does not have public access making it a relaxing, never crowded jewel.

The Kitchen
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to cook simple or elaborate meals. With high end appliances, slab quartz counter tops, beautiful dish and glassware, the chef in your group will be excited to plate local seafood fare in the comfort of home while friends sit at the barstools! We also do our best to keep spices, avocado/olive oil stocked. The space is open to the great room and dining room making it the heart of the home.

Great Room
This room is all about comfort! The perfect place to get cozy on a foggy or rainy evening with a wood burning fire in the wood stove or relax on the large leather sectional on a warm sunny day with the double sliding doors open to the backyard. There is a 55" frame tv with Roku smart tv available to watch movies/game day as a group! Sonos speakers in living area allow you to connect your music with airplay or from our tablet controller in the living/kitchen/dining space.

Dining Room
The dining room features a large table to comfortably seat 6 with another double sliding glass door to the front patio allowing westerly natural light to flood this space. Enjoy curated glassware for cocktails with coups, low ball glasses and hand blown wine glasses. Put a record on the turntable and bring the dinner party to your dining table!

Primary Suite
The primary suite features a very comfortable tuft & needle king sized mattress with brooklinen bedding and organic european linen duvet cover. The window coverings are remote controlled and provide room darkening abilities although the glass sliding door looks out into the wooded forest creating a magical view on both sunny and stormy days.

The primary bathroom is a nod to the natural organic environment with a heated river rock tile floor, quartzite vanity, soaking tub, and rain shower. The vaulted ceiling frames the large skylight, the perfect view from the bathtub!

2nd Bedroom
This room is the same size as the primary room and also has a king sized tuft & needle mattress with brooklinen bedding and organic european linen duvet. There is a tv in this room with smart tv features to login to your favorite streaming platforms. The window has remote controlled room darkening window treatments.

Hall Bathroom
This bathroom features a walk-in shower with rain shower head, heated tile floors and a granite vanity.

Front Deck
The ipe deck that surrounds the house is the perfect area to bask in the sun, take in the view of the hillside and relax in the 4 adirondak chairs.

Back Deck
The back deck is a whole additional living space that leads out to the gem of our retreat, the spa area! Enjoy outdoor meals at the 6 person dining table. The 4 burner propane Napoleon grill is located just off of the glass doors to the living space. There are two outdoor sofas with a water feature, the perfect place for an outdoor nap, to read or to gather with your group.

The Spa
The spa is situated on its own deck under outdoor string lights. The northern lights cedar tub is perfect for soaking while the ferns sway in the wind all around you. The sounds of nature in this space are so grounding. The barrel sauna has a window overlooking the forest, this is comfortable space for 2 people. The outdoor shower may be our favorite and most used. The rain shower head is tranquil and the surrounding trees provide a fully immersive yet private shower experience.

Parking
There is parking in our driveway for 2 cars. There is not any additional parking and street parking is not allowed. We do have a camera on the parking area to ensure that we are complying with parking rules. We do not monitor this camera unless we receive a complaint that there were parking violations.

Noise
We are in a residential area and parties are not allowed. We have a good relationship with our neighbors and community and it is important for us to keep our home a positive contribution to the neighborhood. Please observe quiet hours from 10PM - 8AM.

Cameras
We have a front doorbell camera as well as a camera over the parking area to ensure parking compliance and security.

Beach Chairs
We have an outdoor locked shed with beach chairs for guest use. We will provide this code with your check-in instructions

Sound
As with most homes near the beach in Arch Cape we are in close proximity to hwy 101. There is some road noise outside and while our home is new construction, well insulated and has double pane windows, you may hear a truck go by from time to time.

We know that everyone's sound tolerance is unique to them, so we have provided a white noise machine in the nightstand of each bedroom for those that are more sensitive to sounds.

Beach Access
Do not cross hwy 101 to access the beach. We have a map in the guide book showing how to get to the beach on the pathway that goes UNDER the hwy. This is the safest and only recommended way to access the beach. Plus it takes you along a beautiful creek that leads to the ocean, the perfect stroll to our stunning beach!
