Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our third consecutive stay in unit 172. The unit is well located, clean and comfortable and well equipped. We had difficulty with the Spectrum system in the living room but got around that by using just the the tv remote. Perhaps clearer instructions could be left in the unit. HK staff also had difficulty using cable remote.

What a great rental

The grounds are beautifully kept and the condo itself is clean and updated including granite countertops and floor to ceiling tiled shower. We would stay here again and again.

Terrific place on Maui

This condo has an excellent location in Kihei. It is one block from the Kihei boat ramp which is where many scuba and snorkeling operations leave. There is a beach across the road and there are a series of excellent snorkeling locations just to the south. The unit is very well equipped for preparing meals and it has a closet full of beach chairs, boogie boards, and other water accessories. We really enjoyed our stay.

Reviewer Comments: This unit is well located and has a nice view and orientation. I have saved at Hale Kamaole many times over the last 20 years and all the units do vary. This particular unit is cheaply equipped, particularly in the kitchen - seems like the budget was the only concern when it's,s for the home were purchased. It is a bit tired, and needs a good deep cleaning.
