Lackluster, missing amenities, good location
Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights. It's adequate at best. Beds feel like cheap air mattresses. The fold-away bed we were told was available never materialized (though there were 2 single air mattresses that were more comfortable than that actual beds). The advertised gym was nowhere to be seen. Communication with hosts bordered on sketchy. We were told to call a unit in the building to be buzzed in on arrival. But no one answered, despite the host assuring us someone would be there. We were then told us it would be an indeterminate wait for someone to come let us in, but to see if we could go in the building when someone else went in/out, which we were able to do. Amenities in the unit are basic - six towels, a couple of wash cloths, a Keurig machine (but no K cups), very basic and minimal cooking utensils & dishes. Coin op laundry in the hallway. We could not get the air conditioner to work. We had to get VRBO involved twice to get the hosts to respond to our A/C issue. We were given 3 different numbers to contact at various times. Finally, a host went into the unit & told us the A/C is fine - but that we had inadvertently turned off an unmarked light switch that was not near the thermostat. Apparently this light switch turned off the electricity to the heating & A/C. NOTHING was mentioned about this switch controlling the thermostat in any of the check in messages.
