Thank you for your review. We do try to update things every year for our beach cottage, as it is an older home we don't promote nor want it to be a new cookie cutter modern house. We love the fun cool beachy vibe we have created and thankfully so do all the repeat renters we have. The two bedrooms upstairs were just repainted and new flooring as well as new bedding and decor. This fall/winter/spring we will be updating the kitchen and downstairs bedroom as well as putting in central ac and new heating (so no more window units, which we did clean at the beginning of every season!), and this will help with regulating the air flow in the house. Unfortunately you must have been there when there was substantial rain so with a sand basement that may have been the reason for any mustiness but we have never had any complaints and central air will alleviate any filtration issues. I have to say I am surprised with your assessment on the outdoor shower...we were there after your departure with friends and everyone used the outside shower and did not see any moss or anything. There is a ventilation spout on the one wall and also the door that you can leave open (unless using the toilet) since there is a shower curtain for privacy. And it is cleaned weekly by our cleaning lady.

This actually saddens me to see you gave us a 3 star review for something that was never promised nor advertised! Nowhere in our listing do we say we are 6 houses from the beach! I clearly state we are beach block, meaning you don't have to cross a road to get to the beach. Our house is 10 houses from the beach, if you had asked I would have told you. AC units upstairs cool the rooms when you keep the bedroom doors closed. The one unit was just bought last year. I am very happy to see you at least had a very nice time!

We love having your family back every year! It's so fun seeing how big the grandkids are getting after not seeing them for a year! And we are always excited to see your reaction to any new updates we do as you always notice and appreciate it! Central AC is next!!
