Four Season Chalet at Caberfae / 3BR / Pet-Friendly

Make yourself at home in our newly renovated family chalet, nestled in the unique Caberfae Village near Caberfae Ski and Golf Resort. Whether you prefer cozying up by the natural fireplace indoors or embracing the beauty of the Manistee National Forest outdoors, this is the perfect retreat.

Our chalet is full furnished-just bring your favorite food and drinks. Ideal for couples' getaways, family adventures, and even pets, it serves as the perfect home base for exploring the best outdoor recreation Northwest Michigan has to offer.

Guests visit us to ski or ride at Caberfae Ski Resort or Crystal Mountain, snowmobile through the extensive trail network that intersects our neighborhood, golf at Caberfae or other nearby courses, paddle or boat on the many lakes and rivers, fish in the renowned waterways, attend weddings, visit nearby friends and family, or simply relax by the campfire.

You will be:
*2 minute drive (or <15 minute walk) to Caberfae Ski and Golf Resort. Mackenzie Cross Country Ski, Mountain Bike, and Hiking trail.
*15 minutes from beautiful Pine River, which is a favorite among paddlers and several other rivers boasting loads of padding opportunities, world class trout fishing, and incredible wildlife.
*20 minutes from Tippy Dam or Manistee River Trail or North Country Trail
*30 minutes for all-sport lakes Cadillac and Mitchell. Cadillac's quaint downdown area, Big M, Cadillac pathway trails for hiking, XC skiing, and biking.
*45-75 minutes from Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan, and so many other northwest Michigan Favorites.

The Chalet:
3 Floors
*Main Level: entry way from back yard (3 steps onto back deck), access to front porch from living room, kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, 1 bedroom (1 Full sized bed - great for guests that struggle to do stairs).
*Upstairs: 2 bedrooms -> bedroom (1 queen and 1 full bed, desk with extra monitor) + bedroom (2 Full beds)
*Basement: walk out basement, laundry, staging area for ski/boarding equipment, bikes, fishing or hunting equipment.

Living Area:
Smart TV with Streaming services (Prime Video, Netflix, Peacock). A comfy sofa and 2 chairs make for perfect spot to relax after a day of activity. There is a natural fireplace, with detailed instructs on how to use for those with little experience with natural fireplaces. We provide all the firewood and all the supplies you'll need, so no need buy any. Note: There is a safety gate that can be used around the fireplace to keep little ones and pets away. Use caution and direct supervision with young children and pets to protect them from the fireplace when in use.

Dining Area:
You will find the dining area seats 6-7 people comfortably. It is a great place to sit around and eat, but also play games, work on puzzle or color. We provide toys, coloring books, stickers, puzzles, games, and cards. They are located in the wood cabinet between the kitchen and the dining room. Additional toys are located in the basement, as well as a booster seat for little ones.

Kitchen:
Well, you will find everything you need and more! The kitchen is stocked with both porcelain dishware and plastic, pots and pans, utensils for eating and cooking, numerous spices, shared condiments, coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, cock pot x 2, toaster, mixing bowls, Tupperware containers, coffee mugs, popcorn, etc...
Sorry, there is no dishwasher. Dishes have to be washed by hand. We do provide both wash clothes and a new sponge, dish soap, dish towels and paper towels to accommodate your preferences.

Outdoor Space:
Summer: Outdoor fire pit with seasoned wood provided. There are outdoor chairs for the firepit, as well as outdoor table with 4 chairs. We have both a gas grill and charcoal grill to accommodate your grilling preference. The fall colors are amazing from the back yard, as well as the night sky. Come and see it for yourselves!

Basement:
Walk out basement that has been set up as a staging area for all your adventure gear, such as skis, boards, fishing, hunting, bikes and other equipment. There are racks for skis/boards and hooks to hang clothing. Extra large washer and dryer, with laundry soap and fabric softener provided.
