Overall it met our needs for our girls trip. Kitchen was well equipped and the location was perfect for all our exercusions around Mount Desert/Acadia. Our only recommendation is that some of the furnishings are wornand could be updated. We would return.

We enjoyed the setting of the home. Watching the squirrels try to navigate the bird feeders was a lot of fun. The house had everything for our 4 night stay. It had everything needed to chill at home and to rest after a long day of hiking

Our stay in Hidden Oaks was perfect. The location ,easy drive to Acadia. House size was such a surprise, very large. Kitchen had anything you would need. Cooked lobster one evening, that was a real treat. The house was like your staying in your family home. Totally enjoyed our stay.

This is a home not just a cabin in the woods. Lots of room for living, relaxing. Very clean.TV in lover level has Direct TV for easy viewing. We three friends stayed 4 nights.Easy access to Acadia NP. Daddy long leg spiders in September were plentiful outdoors, as well as the falling acorns from beautiful oak trees. Variety of games and puzzles. And thank you for the wine!Well worth the price, THANK YOU!

The house was perfect for us. It's down a stone road away from everything and has a nice pond right around the corner that you can walk to and enjoy. It's very peaceful with lots of wildlife. My family's only issue (not mine) was no air conditioning but they did have fans and dehumidifiers. It was pleasant sitting on the back deck watching all the birds and squirrels visit the feeders.

Clean, well-maintained home that gave us a welcome base from which to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor. Thoughtful welcome gifts and lists of owners' favorite spots were appreciated. A kitchen map was a very nice touch; although some updates to the written materials are needed (such as instructions for garbage and recycling bin maps either need to be updated, or previous renters messed up the order with their recycling). Overall great place and we'd book again if coming back to the area.

We had a very pleasant stay, even saw a buck eating while enjoying our morning coffee on the deck! We did miss having AC with the temperature hotter than normal, but still a great place to stay. It is conveniently located to many places in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

We'd definitely rent this property again. The only thing "wrong" is the one exterior photo doesn't do it justice--it's huge! Spacious kitchen, living room, nice deck, fun walk on their marked trail, and more.They even had charging stations for your devices on every night table (could have used one of those in the hotel we were at for three days in Portland, ME). If you enjoy browsing interesting books and artwork, this is the place!

Perfect location for our Acadia vacation. We loved being in the wooded area after the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The house was comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed the twice a day deer visit to the apple tree.This is a definite return for us.

Bar Harbor vacation

The house was amazing. It was comfortable and very tastefully decorated. My husband is a big book guy, so we loved all the bookcases. It’s close enough to Bar Harbor and Acacia that we were able to do everything. We wanted very easily. Would definitely stay again.
