Thanks again for staying with us. We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay with and were able to explore our charming town of Black Mountain. Four Sisters Bakery is one of our favorites too. Absolutely must try their cheddar bisquits!!!!

We're disappointed by this review, especially since no concerns were ever communicated during the stay. The reservation was made for 2 guests with no pets. Our exterior security camera documented 6 guests and 2 dogs staying overnight. When we reached out, we were told there were no dogs staying at the property, despite clear evidence to the contrary. We happily welcome pets and only charge a modest $50 pet fee to cover our cleaner's additional costs, but we chose NOT to pursue the fee in an effort to avoid conflict. Also the guest checked in over an hour before our published check-in time without requesting approval. Fortunately, our cleaner had already finished, so again we chose NOT to make an issue of it. At checkout, the guest messaged that they had followed the checkout instructions and that "all is well," with no indication that anything was wrong. Days later, they left a vague 2-star review stating only "not up to our standards." That is completely inconsistent with their communication throughout the stay and after checkout. We encourage future guests to review our many other reviews, which more accurately reflect the experience we consistently provide.
