Location is amazing. We were given the wrong code to get in. Once we got in, it looked as though it had not been properly cleaned. Towels smelt mildewed, there was no TP, no trash bags, and no laundry soap (instructed to start towel before checkout). While annoying, not the worse. However, prior to check out we received a message and a charge for ā€œDog poop everywhereā€. This was overly concerning as we had not checked out yet, and there was absolutely no dog poop. VRBO did absolutely nothing to help, instead of requesting proof, they told the owner to file on the damage insurance. I WOULD NOT STAY HERE!!! They entered prior to checkout, who knows how many times?

Great little place to stay!

Thank you for letting us rent your condo. We have rented several condos before but yours is one of the cleanest. Decor is great and can see you put alot of effort into the decorating. Well the condo is nice and cozy. There were a few things that could have been better. The sink in the bathroom and the first floor worked it just took 20 minutes for the water to drain and it took 20 minutes for the toilet to fill in that same bathroom. Other than that I really donā€™t have any complaints except for the fact that the owner sent me a text telling me I needed to have the jetski and boat removed from the property and that there was an investigation being done on the person that owned the boat and that the cops had been called as well. The owner didnā€™t call and talk to me first and see if I knew the people that owned it she just threatened me that charges were going to be filled in my for damage the boat had done to the dock. I donā€™t know the people that weee parked there and the owner didnā€™t talk to me before accusing me of knowing them and giving them permission to park there, in which I did not. I had no idea who they were. She apologized AFTER the fact, but I was still upset about how it all went down.

Perfect!

Right on the corner so when you look out the window you see the water. Only a few step to the doc for relaxing or fishing. Only a few steps from the hottub and pool. All other tenets where friendly. Pet friendly although we didnā€™t bring out pup. Only suggestion would be an ottoman to be able to put your feet up and relax. We had a wonderful time. The response from the owner was prompt and helpful. We will would def rent again!

Nice enough

Original code sent via email was wrong but the owner was easy to contact and sent a new code right away. There were a few issues with the furniture being flimsy, a bolt fell off when we sat on a chair and a table leg was wobbly. The towel rack fell off. It seemed like there were loose bolts here and there and the tv had lines on the corner. Also, I agree with another review that it is more of a loft than a one bedroom. That being said, the owner was responsive and kind. The location was great for easy access to the beach, nice onsite access to docks, fishing and pool. We were also able to sit on the docks and have a nice view of the island fireworks without the hassle of crowds for the Fourth of July. Even though improvements could be made, the price was reasonable for a pleasant experience.

Needs some freshening up

Property was just okay, my main issue was the cleanliness/lack of attention to detail of the property. Knowing that there is a cleaning fee for each stay, I had the expectation of cleanliness. The sheets on the bed were visibly soiled, but the bed was properly made, which was confusing to say the least. There is a washer and dryer in the property so we did remove the bedding and put them in the wash even though there is a note, not to. Sorry not sorry. The half a bath upstairs also seemed to have urine on the toilet seat, I had hopes that is was a stain, but sadly it wiped away with very little effort and a few squares of toilet paper. The stage was then set for the remainder of the trip not to trust the cleanliness of anything in the home, which only lead us to notice every neglected area if the home. We weren't expecting perfect or brand new, just clean and maintained. Also, walking distance from the beach is a STRETCH... You would most likely need to drive or rent a golf cart.

Terrible Experience

This was an absolute disaster from beginning to end. First we contacted the property owner a week before our trip asking if we could bring a small cargo trailer so we could carry our kayaks and such, she responded with a yes stating we could use an unmarked spot to park it. Fast forward to the day of our reservation, we pull in and the first thing we see are signs stating there is no trailers allowed and violators would be towed. Also on the day of arrival we were supposed to be able to check in at 3, we werenā€™t there yet, but still had no instructions on how to enter the property, ok no big deal we arenā€™t there Iā€™ll just message the owner. Messaged without response, at 4pm we are close to the property so I call, she states sheā€™ll send the access code right away, 4:45 no code still. So we make a short stop to pick stuff up to give more time. When we are done, no call so I call, no answer, then as I hang up I get a message finally with the code. When we access the property we feel weā€™ve entered into someone else staying because there is trash, dirty dishes and stuff every where. So, I call the owner, she tries to say we are at the wrong property, ummmm no no we arenā€™t! Then she Proceeds to ask if we checked to see if someoneā€™s personal items were there, again no I did not! So, I just go in and let me tell ya there was trash everywhere, beds unmade, dirty kitchen and bathrooms. So, the place hadnā€™t been cleaned. The owner then Proceeds to tell me how this isnā€™t her fault! Well it sure isnā€™t mine! She then tells me the cleaning crew can be there in 5 minutes. Well at this point itā€™s 5:15, and we were supposed to be able to check in at 3! Also, with Covid going on I donā€™t want a half way clean condo where others have stayed and Iā€™ve seen how nasty it is. So we decide we just arenā€™t dealing with this and want a refund, while the entire time sheā€™s telling me this is NOT her fault!! Thank God for VRBO they were absolutely amazing! They got our money back, paid for a nights stay somewhere else since you canā€™t same day book, and got a complaint started for us! I was so grateful to have them go above and beyond and Richie was amazing to work with!! Thank you VRBO for all your help, we will for sure book through you again, but NOT with this property!

This is a great property. It's located on a canal where you can fish, kayak, watch birds. A short, 5 min walk to the beach. It was great for our family of 4... older kids though, the canal is very close and not protected by a fence. I would go back for sure.

Beautiful Property

third time visiting this area. Have stayed at three different properties out here now and this was by far the best one that was in our budgeted area. A few mechanical issues with some provided leisure equipment(tvs are slow and will freeze/lock up requiring a hard restart and have lines on the screen(very minor again as most the time you are out and about)and living room fan/light would not work(could have been user error)), but very minor in the grand scheme of things. Will definitely be looking at this location again next year when we do our yearly visit.

Property manager was never properly introduced.

It would of been nice to meet the property manager, all I know is that there were to many retired men always keeping a close eye on every move we were doing. My family and I felt violated of freedom and uncomfortable.

Hello my name is Nadiya Zitser and I am originally from Odessa Ukraine. I moved to the United States back in 2000 and immediately moved to Corpus Christi. I have now made my first investment in rental property and am determined to offer vacationers the best experience possible. Everyone deserves an opportunity, like I have, to live the ā€œIsland Lifeā€ and relax. I have worked hard in my career to be the best that I can be now I want to offer something back. Once you have crossed over the causeway bridge and are on North Padre Island, a new frame of mind takes over. Turn off the news. Forget about work. Understand that the subtle smiles that have now appeared on you and your group is what it is all about here. It always has been for me and my familyā€¦especially my son who is always dragging beach sand with him. And oh yes. donā€™t forget your Hawaiian shirts and sandals. Theyā€™re mandatory!
