Family gathering in Lee, Devon

The Chapel Cottage was perfect - we had a mix of adults and one 8-year old, everyone came at a different time.The ping pong table and tennis courts were excellent passtimes, along with long hours at the table in the kitchen. We enjoyed learning to cook on an Aga range. Kitchen is well equipped, but the BBQ needed fixing. The beach is an easy 5-minute walk away with amazing tidal pools. We enjoyed the local pub - including open mic night. Even saw Malarkey play the night before we left. Ginny is very responsive and tended to our every need! Thank you - great memories made!

What an amazing find

Beautiful tranquil cottage meters from an isolated beach, great for exploring. A few meters up the path and the village pub with its own micro brewery and amazing organic wine list. The photos of the cottage don't do it justice, the setting is unique surrounded by 3 acres of formal and informal gardens. The patio was a delight and we enjoyed the sunshine all day and a fabulous BBQ in the evening on the quality Weber gas BBQ with great food from the local farm shop. The cottage is well equipped, we enjoyed breakfast cooked in the Aga, with all the utensils you could need. Beds comfy with crisp linen. Being with four teenagers WiFi was much appreciated. Overall location, quality and service were top notch!

Verbesserungswürdig: Lage
Beautiful village,but at present spoilt by large housing development. Local pub has dreadful food, and I mean dreadful. Cottage is very well looked after but online it says 'pet friendly' but instruction on site are to keep pet in kitchen. Not that friendly then! Rather too many 'house rules' for my liking, but I guess people are often not considerate about other peoples homes. Overall it is a beautiful cottage, and the lady manager was very attentive

Chapel Cottage review

We had a lovely stay at Chapel Cottage, it’s perfect for a large family. The grounds are beautiful and a short walk to the bay and the pub. Would definitely recommend.

Charming cottage set in stunning grounds with beautifully kept gardens.

Wonderful cottage suitable for a family with children. A stones throw from the beach or easy to drive to bigger beaches. The cottage is clean and well equipped. The local pub is good too. We had a fantastic stay and the children loved running around outside with their grandparents!

Amazing

Great property with everything you need. Quite secluded so great for a relaxing break. Very well located for walking and sightseeing. Also close to a large number of sandy beaches.

Beautiful area!

The house was one of a kind. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and the kitchen was wonderful. The grounds are beautiful. Ginny and her husband went above and beyond for us. We will surely stay there again if we are in the area.

Well kept and cared for old place with character in fabulous location

It was clean and well equipped. Absolutely no complaints. Grampus Inn was perfect for Friday evening with musicians to add local colour.

Beautiful cottage in perfect location

We stayed here as a family as we were attending a wedding at tunnels beach, four couples with a young child. The setting is incredible and only five minutes to the beautiful lee Bay and also five minute to the local pub ! The house is spacious and accommodated us well , the only thing I would say is only having one shower ( just a bath in the bathroom ) meant queuing in a morning but as I like a bath it wasn't a problem . Having an aga in the kitchen and a beautiful log burner in the lounge added to the cosy feel of the place . The house is perfect for young children as the grounds are totally secured with a gate and they can play outside to their hearts content . Would love to go back !!

Lovely Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is great, the location is wonderful and everyone is friendly. The cottage is a short walk to the local pub where Bill and Lucy (the hoppy dog) make you feel at home. Julia is a local cook that we hired and everything she made was delicious. If you are looking for a nice place to stay with beautiful scenery, this is the location for you.

A comfortable and homely place to stay

Had a family Christmas here for a week and everyone felt very much at home. Expect relaxing family environment, not smart and modern. Everything works well and the house is nicely run by its agents. Recommended.

Lovely Lee!

Myself and 6 friends stayed at the cottage and had just the most fabulous time. We had superb weather so sat out on the lovely patio area for alot of it just drinking in the stunning location and views, we also had a fab bbq on the provided gas bbq. The cottage was clean and comfortable with a lovely traditional cottage kitchen with mod cons!, the tennis court was also great fun, but we were not as fit as we thought we were! Literally 5 min (if that) walk up the path to the pub, we could not have got better. Thoroughly recommend.
