Welcome to Up Home, a peaceful oceanfront island retreat in Spanish Wells, perfectly positioned on the eastern point of the island. Start each day with stunning sunrise views, gentle ocean breezes, and sightings of local ocean life just beyond your doorstep. Thoughtfully designed for travelers seeking authentic Bahamian island living, this tranquil getaway invites you to slow down, unplug, and reconnect—ideal for rest, reflection, and meaningful time together.
The home offers:
⭐ Spacious Living Room with Ocean Views – Gather in a bright, comfortable living area with sweeping sea views. Perfect for movie nights, board games, or simply unwinding together after a day on the island.
⭐ Fully Stocked Kitchen – Thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for cooking, baking, and enjoying meals at home—ideal for longer stays and relaxed island living.
⭐ Main-Floor Bedrooms & Bathrooms – Two comfortable bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the main level, including a primary suite with ocean views and a private en-suite bath. Both bedrooms feature TVs for added comfort.
⭐ Second-Floor Loft Retreat – Accessed by a spiral staircase, this open loft includes three beds, dedicated desks, a cozy den area, and a private balcony overlooking the sea. Please note: there are no bathrooms on this level.
⭐ Wrap-Around Porch & Outdoor Grill – Take in panoramic ocean views from the wrap-around porch, relax with your morning coffee, or fire up the grill for laid-back outdoor dining.
Guests enjoy full, private access to the entire home, allowing you to relax and settle in as if it were your own. Please note that two closets are locked for owner storage.
The golf cart located behind the home is not available for guest use. For getting around the island, we recommend Island Time Golf Cart Rentals or Harbourside Rentals, both offering convenient and reliable golf cart rentals during your stay.

Best way to get around is by renting a golf cart from either Island Time Golf Cart Rentals or Harbourside Rentals.
⭐ Nearby Restaurant – The home is located next to a local restaurant—perfect for enjoying coastal dishes just steps away. On Friday and Saturday evenings, some ambient noise may carry to the house. For your comfort, sound machines are provided to ensure restful sleep.
⭐ Bathroom Location – Both bathrooms are located on the main level. Guests staying in the upstairs loft will need to come downstairs to access them.
⭐ The Island Pace – Life in the Bahamas moves a little slower—and that’s part of the charm. Service wait times may be longer, stores may have limited supplies, and prices can be higher since most goods arrive by boat.
⭐ Starter Essentials Provided – A starter supply (approximately 4 days) of basics such as toilet paper and paper towels is provided. Guests staying longer are responsible for replenishing supplies as needed.
⭐ Electricity Usage – Electricity on the island is costly, and a two-week stay can result in electric bills of up to $700. Please help keep costs reasonable by turning off lights, electronics, and AC when not in use, and keeping windows and doors closed while the AC is on.
⭐ Water Availability – Occasionally, water service may be shut off during the day for island maintenance. A regular nightly water shut-off occurs from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM, which is standard for the area.
