The host communicated well, and the listing was accurate. The house comfortably fit my two companions and I, and it’s got a cool location right in the heart of Davenport. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen is quite nice. The “mirror wall” is also a cool feature. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience

Property interior was clean, neither bathroom was vented, 1st floor bath had shower stall very worn through, 2nd floor bath had door misaligned and would not close. Stairs to the 2nd floor could be a challenge for older guests. Moderate street noise both nights with traffic, car stereos, etc. Arrived to fine 1/3rd of a roll of toilet paper in the whole house.

Hi, Thanks for staying with us. There should have been toilet paper as I have a giant stash in the closet upstairs. My cleaner might not have left it out so I will check into that. There are windows in both bathrooms so a separate vent is not required. The downstairs has an exhaust fan right in the wall next to the shower plus the window, for more than ample venting. The staircase is a regular, standard staircase with landing, and should be no more difficult than any other set of stairs for anyone.

Neighborhood is not very good but it is Davenport. We had no issues with loudness at all. The downstairs kitchen was super hot no air circulation at all. The living room had only ceiling fan and we bought 2 fans for front bedroom due to how stuffy it was. Up stairs had window units and was the comes place in the whole house. I hope he fixes this so next people are not so uncomfortable.

Birthday Photo Shoot

Me and my girlfriends, more specifically me, need a really cute place for me to take birthday pictures. So as i was browsing through different places i was mainly looking for something unique, or atleast picture worthy. I instantly fell inlove with this house!!!, and please believe me when i say the pictures don’t do it any justice. It truly is soo pretty inside. Aside from the appearance of everything, the communication with the host was just as good. They responded fast and very welcoming. Overall, I loved my stay and loveeeee the pictures i was able to get.

Unique decor

When I first pulled up my heart sank. The exterior looks like a rundown home. Inside it was much nicer and clean. Lights in the main floor bathroom need some attention as they both flicker terribly. Couldn't use the wifi. No paper towels or dishsoap in the kitchen and old bath towels in both bathrooms. Main bathroom downstairs toilet wouldn't fill most of the time. Comfortable king bed but flat old pillows. Not enough comfortable seating in the living room for six people.. Nice decor. Had to mow a part in the backyard to play Cornhole and for our tiny dog to use.

Our stay in Davenport was one for the books! From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was something special. The owner even had the yard freshly mowed for us — it looked amazing, super cleaned up, and not a single bug in sight! We got to enjoy the beautiful evening outside, and the seating area with a gated off backyard, made it the perfect hangout spot. Even the neighbors were sweet and came over to ask if we needed anything. You don’t get that everywhere!Inside, the house was so fun to explore. It truly sleeps 14 people comfortably — plenty of space, blankets, and pillows for everyone, and the air conditioning worked perfectly the whole time. There’s something for all ages here: a game room for the kids, an awesome LED-lit girl room that turned into a mini photoshoot zone, and fun blue kitchen lights that added to the vibe — we definitely took some cute photos there too!What really makes this place stand out is the unique and creative touch in every room. You can tell the owner has an artistic eye — the whole space is full of personality and charm. Every corner had us saying “wait, come look at this!”Location-wise, it’s just a mile from downtown, which made it super easy for our group to hop on the Pub Trolley. We loved how close we were to the fun, but still had a peaceful space to come back to and wind down. The front porch was another favorite spot to chill and sip coffee in the morning.This house is more than just a place to sleep — it’s a full experience

Fun Decor

The Pros: Loved the decor. Beds were comfortable. Nice dining tables in kitchen and dining room. Shower heads were new and had decent pressure. Fans provided for bedrooms. Privacy fenced backyard. Off street, 2 space alley parking. The Cons: Lights flicker in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom, smelled strongly of dog, upstairs bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan, smallest bedroom outlets are at foot of double bed and behind daybed and there's no nightstands in that room. No towel bars in either bathroom. Chairs in LR are only for decoration, seats are worn and have springs almost sticking out of them. Pots & pans were not usable as all were rusted inside or had the nonstick coating partially scratched off. No kitchen towels or paper towels found. Fence along alley is leaning towards alley and if you're short like me (5'2"), the fence gate is hard to close with no handle on outside. Kitchen cabinets are squeaky. No shade or umbrella in backyard in the afternoons.Shades would have been nice in the 2 upstairs bedrooms for privacy that doesn't block the window ACs.Host was responsive during check in as instructions hadn't auto delivered. Didn't contact about any other issues during stay. Overall, was a decent stay for a couple nights.

We experienced multiple issues with the condition of this property that raise concerns relative to standard cleanliness and maintenance expectations for a VRBO rental.At check-in, the unit did not appear to have been adequately cleaned. There was visible dirt on the floors, crumbs in the kitchen area, and a noticeable film with splashes/residue on kitchen surfaces and refrigerator exterior. The couch was significantly worn and had an unpleasant odor. In the bathroom, the shower showed peeling paint, visible grime, and spiderwebs on the baseboard. Under the beds hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, as evidenced by considerable layer of dust/dirt/and hair. All sheets and towels were embedded with animal hair. There was also a persistent odor throughout the unit consistent with stale smoke and other strong odors, which materially impacted the comfort of the stay.The exterior conditions further contributed to the overall experience. Upon arrival, there was a lot of trash present in both the front yard and rear parking area, and the neighboring property contained a significant amount of debris.Given these conditions, the property did not align with reasonable expectations for cleanliness or upkeep, and the overall experience differed materially from what was represented at booking.The host was very responsive and helpful with resolving an Internet connectivity issue. We recommend confirming current maintenance and cleaning standards with the host prior to booking.
