Perfect for two; great layout & view.

Excellent property for mountain/golf course/desert views. Property is well set up for two people, very comfortable furnishings, quality linens and convenient to great restaurants and amenities. Property Manager was responsive to a couple cleaning & repair items that will improve overall experience... we'll consider this property for future stays... much better than a hotel room for a week!

Reviewer Comments: This condo is in a wonderful location - not only are there mountain views from the balcony but it is very close to both Sabino Canyon and Ventana Canyon hiking which we did many times during our stay. We had one maintenance need and Jesus was quick and very nice - he also made recommendations about hiking in the area. The only negatives were in some of the kitchen items - the can opener really did not work due to rust, some of the silverware in the drawer appeared to have had a spill into the drawer that was not addressed, the dishwasher is one that will wash clean dishes but cannot handle any dried on food so be sure to rinse things well. A review and replacement of old items such as dish towels, cooking implements would make it much more enjoyable for those wanting to cook meals. That said, I would definitely rent this condo again. The whole process of choosing the location, checking in, etc. was easy - Spectrum did a great job.

fantastic Mountain Views

We were thrilled with our stay in the Catalina Foothills. Our condo in Ventana Greens East was perfect from start to finish. Perfect size condo for two, best- equipped kitchen I have ever encountered, close to shopping, groceries and dining, an excellent location overall for every sort of activity. The management company was responsive no matter when contacted or what the problem. One of our best VRBO stays ever!

Such a wonderful stay

We loved staying at the Greens at Ventana! The community is peaceful, tidy and safe, our unit was gorgeous and the views from the balcony simply superb (wildlife and bird lovers will absolutely relish watching the desert gardens at any time of day). The condo itself was sparkling clean, extremely comfortable & well appointed. The location, although not central to Tucson , was ideal for us during our month-long stay, while we explored the surrounding natural areas (Ventana Canyon, Santa Catalina SP, Mt. Lemmon, Saguaro NP), Tucson, and taking side trips. Handy amenities (groceries, CVS, gas, restaurants) are also quite close by. Having access to a pool was a real treat on those extreme heat days, too!

Different Condo

We booked this property months before our trip...a few days before our departure and without an explanation or apology we were assigned another condo unit by the real estate firm that manages the VRBO. This other condo was NOT a VRBO and was clearly not as nice as this unit. We communicated this problem to VRBO but we had to accept this other unit if we still wanted to go to Tucson.

Comfortable and convenient, and includes coyotes

My spouse and I stayed for a month, and found it worked very well for us to mix remote work and recreation. It even accommodated a couple of adult offspring who dropped in for a few days. Property managers were responsive to some initial needs like extra set of keys and a burnt out external light. Everything functioned well (pocket doors are a bit cranky though) and the furnishings comfortable; kitchen well equipped and I especially appreciated the extensive set of seasonings and herbs, since we did a lot of home cooking.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the condo was perfect in terms of views and access to shopping. The interior was well appointed with leather sleeper couches and granite counters in the bath and kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silver ware and coffee supplies, but pots and pans were minimal. In terms of comfort, the master bed was fine with good pillows and plenty of sheets, but the blankets for the bed were too small. The shower was good, plenty of hot water, lots of towels, and soaps, shampoo, lotion. Dining table set up for four was perfect, plethora of games and videos. Good smart TVs in both living room and master bedroom. The condo looked great, but the seating in the living room was horrible. The l-shaped sleeper couch was hard as a rock. There were lots of pillows to use for back support and as a cushion on the solid-surface coffee table in front of the couch so there was something on which to elevate our old legs. That seating situation was a significant problem for us as well as the TV that was mounted inexplicably high on the opposite wall. There was an issue with the blinds they could be opened and closed, but not raised. Outdoor seating was fine with table/chairs. The deck overlooked the wash and mountains that ran behind The Greens. A fountain belonging to the unit below harbored hummingbirds in the early morning and we saw quail, a bobcat, and a coyote in the wash. According to the light on the frig, the water filter needed replacing (a bag of ice was provided) and there was no dishwasher detergent provided. It appeared that the draining dish rack in the sink was to be used for washing dishes. I wasn't clear about that, so the rack was fine for me. There was a light out in the 2nd toilet/laundry room, which I resolved. In general, the unit was clean, but the Travertine floor could have used a good mopping. As prior Tucsonians, we know the desert promotes constant dust but under the bed and furniture were large bunnies. The pool/BBQ was beautiful.

We felt we had good value, although as we visited in November, we were unable to use the balcony as it has no sun exposure at that time of year. The unit should have a deep cleaning to remove the dust on the shutters, under the bed, and on the tops of window frames and picture frames. The bed quilt and blankets could also use a wash. It was nice to hear that we can request fragrance-free linens when we return again.
