Williams AZ

The house was neat and clean. Very quaint in a quiet neighborhood. There was a dog barking but it didn't disturb our sleep. I only had problems finding outlets since I had an Ipad, Iphone, electric toothbrush, a waterpik, blow dryer and curling iron. It's an older home - so bring a surge protector so you can plug in all your devices.

Thank you Rebecca for you review and yes it is an older home😊 in the bathroom there are two outlets located on the light above the medicine cabinet. In the bedroom on the east wall the outlet does have a 3 way plug attached for more electronics. The idea of adding a surge protector to the home is a good one and we will definitely consider doing that for our guests. We look forward to having you stay with us again😃

Very small space

This place is very small. As soon as we pulled up to the place the grumpy neighbor from the junk pile next door greeted us by telling us we need to pull as close to the house as possible and all the way up. The beds were uncomfortable. The tv remote didn’t work. The WiFi didn’t work. My child was scratched by a neighborhood cat. Not a great experience to say the least. I don’t not recommend to anyone.

I’m so sorry you did not have a pleasant stay. The home mentions online how big it is that’s why it’s a guest house allowing 4 people max preferably 2 adults 2 kids. I very much enjoy staying there. Everyone has a different preference on the comfort of a bed depending if you like it soft or hard. We have dish network in the home and there are also instructions on using the remote. We put the tv remote up but sometimes guests will find it and try using that remote instead of following directions. The Wi-Fi can tend to be slow and hard to use at times because of the area. I’m sorry your daughter got scratched and that you did not have a good stay. I wish you would have contacted me if you had problems. I would not recommend anyone trying to pick up a stray cat that can be dangerous. I hope this review was not a reflection from the occurring situations not under my control as far as the neighborhood is concerned. Thank you for the feedback.

Cozy cute retro house!

The house was very clean and the retro decor was super cute. It's on the smaller side but worked great for me and my daughter. Love the little lighted sign in the kitchen! The house has a gas stove that I was initially concerned with because I thought it smelled like gas when I entered, but the owner assured me the smell is from the pilot light and the rental has a carbon monoxide detector for safety which put me at ease. I was not able to figure out how to light the gas stove, however, I am not savvy with that type of stove. The owner offered to come over and help light it for me. Our biggest issue was the internet. Our cell phones (Boost) did not have good coverage and the provided internet wasn't working properly at all the entire stay. I think it might have been possibly tapping off the owner's house next door? Was barely even usable. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and the owner who lives next door was easy to reach with any questions we had. :)

Just ok

The owners were very responsive. We had an issue with the TV remote and they rectified it quickly. However, there were some things lacking that could have made our stay better if fixed. The main one was not having wifi. The place advertised as having wifi but it really doesn’t. The owners have had other previous complaints. Should not be advertised as having wifi as owners know and admitted it’s bad in town (regardless of having an extender). It didn’t work for us the entire time we were there even though the extender said it was working. The house smells musty and old. Yes, it’s an old house, but it doesn’t have to smell that way. Not the most inviting welcome walking in to such a strong smell. Train horns can be heard late at night making it difficult for a good nights sleep. The floors/carpet was dirty. We had brand new white socks that were gray after walking around for less than 15 minutes.

We are always looking to give our guests a comfortable and welcoming stay in our home. When we find some haven’t felt this way we do what we can to fix and accommodate. In this situation we provided a partial refund for the troubles experienced with this reservation. Our home is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each guest stay. We have since stayed in the home ourselves and found the WiFi extender needed a software update and now works consistently. I tried out the white sock test myself and still had clean socks by the end of the night after walking around inside the home for a couple hours.

Back with friends of my past

Ray was waiting for us even though it was late. I was very comfortable with everything . Furnishings reminded me of my home in Boulder during the 40’s. Linda came over for a long visit and even brought a a fresh cabbage from their garden. Nice to sit on the porch and view the sunsets.

Very sweet guest house

This guest house is completely equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It is a quiet neighborhood in walking distance from town, easy to get to, homey and warm. I could feel the thoughtfulness that went into setting it up. It is a full hour drive to the Grand Canyon, but an easy, straight shot.

Vintage house

The owners were gracious and let us check in a couple hours early so we could drive up to the Grand Canyon. Loved the vintage kitchen appliances. It had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable.

Williams elk hunt

Nice, comfortable, clean place to stay. Parking and access is a little tight for a big pickup especially after the snow and the city plowed the snow into the center of the streets making it difficult to get into alley way that accesses the house. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely do it again.
