Incredible Hanalei Bay Resort - annually voted by visitors as the Best and Most Fun place on Kauai. A full view of Hanalei Bay in all of it's glory.
This fully air conditioned ground floor condo is steps from parking - no stairs to struggle with - access out your sliding glass to the plush world of the Hanalei Bay Resort - steps away from the gorgeous pools and hot tub. This place has it all!
The space
Unit 1106. Lovely studio with one king bed. Nice bathroom with a large walk in shower. Large flat screen TV. Air conditioned. Beautiful views of the mountains above Hanalei Bay with an outdoor lanai. Easy access to the beautiful resort pool and waterfall jacuzzi.
Other things to note
Hanalei Bay Resort charges 2 fees that must be paid directly to them at the front desk.
Upon check-in, you will be charged a one time registration fee of $50 and a resort/parking fee of $45 + tax a night per unit. This fee includes parking and allows access to all of the wonderful resort amenities, including the pools, hot tub, towels, beach shuttles if you don't feel like walking, fitness center, laundry room, tennis courts, outdoor grills, and more.

Our cancellation policy is strict. We recommend buying the travel insurance offered booking.

This is a terrific ground level studio unit next to the parking. It is well maintained. The host was very responsive when we had a small issue with the shower head and he replaced it with an amazing unit you will enjoy. Hanalei Bay Resort (HBR) has been a special vacation place for us for nearly 40 years. While the Bali Hai restaurant is not up and running again, they do serve pizza which was pretty good. For some reason the jets in the HBR hot tub were not operating.

Overall the property was wonderful. Peter was a great host and very responsive during the check in process. We were not able to have room access until 4pm, which is understandable due to the thorough cleaning of the room. The photos of the lanai are not exaggerated at all, the view is amazing. Comfortable bed, A/C, and a large bathroom and shower. The only minor complaint would be no sink by the kitchenette area, but washing in the bathroom sink is fine. The property grounds had 2 great restaurants, a nice pool and the beach is walkable. There is a shuttle service as well. We look forward to returning and are not even considering another property!

The view was Gorgeous!! The location was great! From parking to walking to the restaurant and jacuzzi. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were so nice. But the view is just beautiful.

Facilities overall were good. Room was a bit small but adequate. Fitness center way too small for number of people it serves. Tried to use spa/hot tub many times - but was always full. More younger children then expected. Definitely beautiful location.

What a view!

We have been to the N Shore of Kauai before so we know that it is high "funky factor". This property is in a good location at the Hanalei Resort and pretty much like we expected but more worn than we expected. The shower was nice and the bathroom and bedroom pretty clean. The room was rather dark and could use more lighting. The floors were wavy and buckled in places from previous flooding and the stand swing on the lanai is falling apart. It would be nice to get rid of it and have two lounge chairs instead. This said, we were comfortable and had a really good time.

This VRBO was clean and Peter was a responsive and kind host. It was nice that the resort included towels, beach chairs and umbrellas that you could rent (though I did not notice the resort fee until I read the arrival instructions). Unfortunately, there were no curtains and the property was on ground level so it meant that if you wanted privacy you had to close the blackout shades completely, but otherwise it was a nice stay.
