In most every case it comes from the Everglades and then pushes north to Naples before it ever reaches the beach of Marco Island. At night you can watch the electrical light shows of lightning off in the distance over the Gulf during rainy season. It has provided our family decades of unbelievable experiences from fireworks on 4th of July to Meteor showers in the sky and immense lightning shows streaking across the skies over the Gulf at night.
