Das direkt am Meer gelegene Apartment Riva 2 wurde im Jahr 2015 renoviert und befindet sich in einem traditionellen dalmatinischen Steinhaus im Zentrum der Altstadt von Cavtat. Es bietet Platz für 4 Personen und ist mit modernen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Das Apartment verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett, ein Wohnzimmer mit einem Queensize-Futon / Sofa, ein komplettes Badezimmer und eine gut ausgestattete Küche mit einem kleinen Tisch für 4 Personen. Perfect holiday apartment

This beautiful apartment is right in the middle of Cavtat overlooking the harbour . It is ideally situated for all of the restaurants and amenities. It is fantastically well appointed and super clean. Kate is the perfect hostess, arranging airport transfers and communicating everything we needed. We have visited for the last two summers and will definitely return.

Wedding guests

We rented this wonderful property for some friends of my daughter for her wedding weekend. We didn’t stay ourselves, or see it, but I heard they loved it! It’s in a perfect position just in the old town. Thank you to hosts for being so generous and hospitable- we hope they were good guests!!

What a perfect apartment in Cavtat to relax and enjoy some quiet time outside the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik. Kate is a wonderful host and the apartment is extremely clean right in the center of the promenade. Note: We recommend taking the City Tour (we were in a small group with one other couple) and after the tour they gave us the City Wall tickets. Also recommend taking a kayak to the island for snorkeling.

A perfect Cavtat stay

We stayed in Kate's apartment for a week in June. We could not have asked for a better place with a more attentive host. The check-in process was easy, the location was about as perfect as you can get, and the view from the terrace was superb. The apartment has all the amenities you could need and Kate was very good in organising anything we needed (including our forgotten travel adapters). The location is potentially the best spot in Cavtat being right in the centre of all the restaurants. We would recommend to anyone! Can't wait to return! Thanks for everything Kate (& family - Niko and Mato for the adapter and the airport shuttle!)

Great location, beautiful apartment, difficult parking and arrival

The Good: The property is absolutely beautiful in an incredible location right on the harbor in Cavtat -- the location cannot be beat. This is the upper apartment, so the waterfront views out the windows are not quite as direct, but it's still beautiful and fun to see the yachts outside. The apartment has been recently renovated and spotlessly clean and so charming with cute decorations, exposed stone, modern kitchen and bathroom, cold and quiet air conditioning, and snacks and drinks stocked in the refrigerator. There is a wonderful, gated, multi-level landscaped terrace outside the apartment from which to enjoy the sights & sounds of Cavtat, and the restaurant downstairs will deliver food and drinks right to the gate which feels like your own private dining. The Not-So-Good: - Parking. The listing says one of the amenities includes "parking", but it does not mention that the parking is in a public lot that is a 400m walk away from the apartment, through the busy main street of Cavtat. You cannot drive to or near the apartment - the streets are car-free. We knew this was the case in places like Old Town Dubrovnik, but did not realize it was the case for Cavtat - it makes it quite inconvenient to haul baggage, etc., and would have been nice to know in advance. It also does not mention that the parking is NOT free - it is in a public parking lot at very expensive rates! - Check-In: This is not the fault of the host, but the VRBO check-in process did not work well for us. The VRBO email did not contain any special instructions for getting to the property or checking in, and when we arrived in Cavtat, we learned we could not even drive up to the apartment, and there were no instructions on how to get the keys. When we used the information in VRBO email to contact the host, instead we reached a "property manager" who said they could not even find our reservation and could not help us. It took us some time to hunt down the host’s actual contact information and contact her. From that point, she was very responsive and helpful instructing us how to reach the property, get in the gate, and find the keys. However, it would have been helpful if those instructions had been provided in advance so that we were not left scrambling and confused when we arrived in Cavtat (and thought our reservation had been lost). - The beautiful terrace is shared with the other apartment in the complex so is not as private as you may expect from the listing.

Fantastische Unterbringung mit vielen Möglichkeiten

Sehr gemütliche und sehr, sehr gepflegte Unterkunft! Alles frisch renoviert..., wobei der rustikale, alte Stil bewahrt wurde. Wirklich sehr schön! Die Vermieter sind äußerst hilfsbereit und liebenswert und jederzeit zu erreichen. Vor der Haustüre liegen die absoluten Luxusyachten, auf die man, von den Apartmentfenstern heraus, schauen kann. Von ganz oben auf der Terrasse kann man den Sonnenuntergang beobachten. Jede halbe Stunde geht ein Shuttleschiffchen nach Dubrovnik bis in den Abend hinein (Achtung: nicht alle fahren gleich schnell). Im kleinen Cavtat ist viel los, aber auch mit viel Lokalkolorit. Z. Bsp. kann man morgens den vielen kroatischen Kindern beim Wasserballtraining zusehen! Besser geht es kaum...

Outstanding property ideally located.

When it says The Stone House in the centre of Cavtat - it is just that. Right in the centre of this beautiful harbour town. The apartment itself is beautifully renovated. Decoration was stylish and modern with no issues whatsoever. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were reluctant to leave! The owner was most helpful and obliging and was on hand when we arrived to guide us through the amenities. We stayed in the upper apartment which afforded an excellent view as the sun set. I would highly recommend this property and if you fly into 'Dubrovnik' airport it is less than ten minutes away from this apartment. Cavtat itself is a calm oasis when compared to the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik. We visited Dubrovnik several times during our stay using the plentiful and regular taxi boats. After the crowds and sights of Dubrovnik it was always a pleasure to 'return home' this wonderful location. We will be back!

Beautiful apt and lovely owner.

Charming, very clean apartment in the center of everything. We enjoyed the private terrace and the gelato stand at the bottom of the stairs. Kate was very nice and even arranged for her son to drive us to the airport. We loved Cavtat and hope to come back someday.

We spent eight idyllic days in Kate's apartment. Its position just off the riva was perfect for us.

The building has been lovingly renovated with great attention to detail and is a chic and upmarket place to stay. All of the fittings and furniture have been chosen with care and the kitchen was really well equipped. We travel extensively and this was one of the cleanest and most welcoming apartments we have ever stayed in. Outside there is a lovely garden area on two levels and we enjoyed sitting here in the cool of the evening after a busy day's sightseeing. Beneath the apartment is a range of very tempting restaurants with a great buzz about the place in the evenings. There are also lovely walks around the bay which helped walk off the calories! Cavtat is a delightful place to stay with easy access to Dubrovnik and neighbouring islands. The view from the apartment is even better than the pictures, and we enjoyed watching the yachts arriving early morning and the sun setting over the bay in the evenings. Kate was an excellent host, taking time to recommend places to see and explaining the history of the surrounding area, which we really appreciated. She was always on hand to answer questions and contact was excellent. She kindly took us to the airport when we were leaving, which was a lovely way to finish off our holiday. We have already recommended the apartment to our friends and cannot praise it highly enough. Thank you, Kate, for helping to make our holiday so memorable. One day we hope to be back!

I'm an educator and work in the Cavtat Primary School. Niko is a captain with a merchant marine company and is away at sea part of the year. The old stone house, where the two Riva apartments are located, has been in Niko's family for many generations. We look forward to being your hosts and answering any questions you may have.
