The space
THIS UNIT IS FOR A FAMILY WITH UP TO 4 CHILDREN - We set up this room for larger families, having 4 children myself, I understand how hard it can be to find spaces that work. This Bungalow can also accommodate 4 Adults (with no children) but it can NOT accommodate 5 or 6 Adults. If you book for more than this, or show up with more than this, the reservation will be canceled.

Guest access
Camp Akumal is located about 20 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and 20 minutes north of Tulum… but Akumal is the perfect retrieve from these busier tourist towns. The famous Akumal Bay is close by, where you can swim with wild and free Sea Turtles. Beyond that, there are about 5 other beautiful beaches within a 10-minute drive, all different and each amazing in their own way. Countless possibilities for day trips to cenotes, Mayan ruins, ecological parks, animal sanctuaries, adventure parks and quaint Mexican villages.

Gated parking available for free on site - Car is highly recommended, but not essential. We do rent cars on property - inquire for details.
We are located 700 meters from the highway, so budget travelers have an easy walk to public transportation.
Other things to note
Rooms come with fresh bedding, bath towels and beach towels. Your room will be cleaned every 3 days and new towels provided. Bed linens changed once per week. You do not need to fully clean your bungalow upon departure but leaving it tidy is appreciated.
Toiletries not provided for discounted monthly stays.

We have 2 cats who roam around and dogs who are in their own private gated area.
This is the Jungle - There may be iguanas, monkeys, bugs and various other animals.
There are NO caged animals!

Additional rules
CAMP RULES

1. No smoking in rooms (Outside is OK, but not in pool or pool deck)
2. Absolutely no illegal drugs allowed on property
3. No lifeguard on duty, swim at your own risk
4. No unattended children in the pool
5. There is a replacement fee for lost or damaged items
6. Additional guests must be registered; charges may apply
7. The Management is not responsible for valuables left in room
8. Please lock doors & windows when not in the room
9. This is a family unit, max amount of adults is 4, but a family of 2 Adults and 4 children are also welcome. If you are unsure, please ask!

10. Most importantly, please note we are on self-generated electricity and it is extremely expensive. Turn off the air-conditioning, fans and lights when not at home. Do not run air-conditioning with windows or doors open. Please conserve energy when possible, thank you!

QUIET HOURS
10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
It is not allowed to congregate in groups in common areas, pool deck or patios & terraces during quiet hours. During these hours we also ask that you keep noise and music to a minimum inside your house. Please be respectful to all guests!

CHECK-OUT
It is not expected for you to clean your room upon your departure. However, we do appreciate it being left tidy!

MONTHLY RENTALS
Discounted monthly rentals only receive weekly cleaning with full bed linen and towel change. Hygienic bathroom supplies (TP, shampoo, soap) are not included.
