Das Del Sol Beachfront Condominium befindet sich auf einem ruhigen, privaten Strandstraße am Half Moon Bay, zwischen Akumal Bay und Yal-Ku-Lagune. Es basiert auf dem absoluten Sandstrand mit Weltklasse-Schnorcheln nur wenige Schritte entfernt.
Unsere Wohnanlage ist gerÀumig, sehr hell und sehr komfortabel. Die Preise beinhalten tadellose Zimmerservice, zentrale Klimaanlage, einen Safe im Zimmer, unbegrenzte gereinigtes Trinkwasser, Flachbild-TV mit HBO und Cinemax, und kostenlose ParkplÀtze.

We enjoyed 3 nights at Del Sol. We loved being right on the beach and the easy walk to town of Akumal. Hope to return to Akumal again. The host was extremely helpful and on site support were very attentive whenever we needed anything. Overall great stay!!

Beautiful location on beach

Wonderful stay in a small bay right on the beach. Well appointed, comfortable beds, cleaning every day, 20 minute walk to town with grocery store and restaurants. Good snorkeling right off the beach. Very quiet and relaxing. We did not have a car and felt it was fine as we wanted a quiet time without excursions.

The condo was right on the beach. It was a little hard to find in the dark and rain, but once we found the right unit it was exactly as it described in the listing. With a perfect view!

Great location

Del Sol is a lovely beach front location, a lovely walk to town, also very close to a corner store and two other new restaurants. Frederico the manager is great to work with always around and helpful with making arrangements for activities or making sure we have everything we need. The other staff are wonderful as well.

Lovely!

Quiet but with lots for my teens to do - snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, biking around the neighborhood, relaxing in the hammocks. With the beach outside the door, one of the most relaxing places we’ve ever been! The staff is great -laidback but super helpful. The restaurant and also the coffee bar nearby were both delicious and had excellent service. A wonderful place to stay!

Amazing

This was the second time I have stayed in this rental. If you are looking for something quiet, beautiful, and not Cancun this is your place. We snorkeled, road bikes, and walked around for 3 days. Great places to eat, but we made breakfast and lunch in the condo everyday and then went out for dinner and drinks. So chill and was just what we were looking for in a vacation.

The property was fabulous and the staff were very friendly and helpful! It is great to be so close to see and hear the water right from the condo. We loved snorkeling in Half Moon Bay and Yal Ku. The location is perfect - a nice walk to everything in Akumal. The sargassum seaweed was just starting to pile up - hopefully nature will help it subside in the coming years. Perfect!!!

This is our third trip to the area. This location and rooms are the best. The property is well taken care of, The rooms, linens, kitchen accessories, decorations etc. are very welcoming and pleasing. We felt instantly comfortable and very happy with the huge wall of patio doors facing the ocean. Every thing you need is nearby within walking distance. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and competent. I looked forward to seeing them each day. We highly recommend this as a great place to stay in the Akumal area.

The condo was beautiful and very clean. The staff was lovely, friendly and professional. The location was very safe and easy to find The only issue was the hot water in the master bathroom was non existent and there was only hot water in the guest bathroom.

LOVED it!

Akumal itself is amazing ~ so cute! The property was Excellent! I was traveling with my 17yr old son & he could not have been happier! From the moment we walked in he was over the top! Being able to walk out directly to the beach, the spaciousness of the place (he loved having his privacy) It was extremely clean, well equipped for a longer stay / larger group. Everything you needed was provided. & as turtle lovers ~ there were two nests protected just in front of the condo. AND (unfortunately we missed) on our 1st night a turtle visited to lay eggs but apparently decided to nest a little bit further down the beach. I canNOT give enough praises!

A spacious, well-maintained property on a lovely beach a short walk from several decent restaurant. Ruins of Cobá and Tulum both with an hours drive. Lots of cenotes and nature themed activities nearby if you don’t like the sea.

Beautiful place. Clean bathrooms. Great view. Cant ever beat the view literally 2 steps from the beach. Very quite town of akumal to just absoloutely relax. Would recommend this to anyone who wants affordable and relaxing and safe time in mexico for their stay.

Beautiful view but seaweed is a huge problem

We booked this unit because of the world famous snorkeling in Akumal, the beautiful view and location of the condo and because of its proximity to the restaurant, La Buena Vida. Unfortunately the rotting seaweed (sargassum) blooms made the smell in and around the unit unbearable. Some large resorts cart the sargassum to another location each day but Del Sol builds a huge pile of it next to the complex (which is better for the environment but bad for your senses) which you have to walk over to get to La Buena Vida restaurant and its really gross. Additionally, the tile in the condo and just outside the unit leading to the beach is extremely slippery and since it’s always moist from the humidity, my family and I fell a few times. The condo is very bare and the there are gaps in many of the windows so mosquitos and that horrible smell are inside. The flies relentlessly swarming our food at La Buena Vida restaurant were awful and made us not want to go back. We ended up only staying one of the four nights we booked this unit because of all the issues and the management was generous enough to refund the remaining three nights, which we really appreciated. We are total beach people and thought this would be the perfect place for us so we were really disappointed but again, appreciate management working with us.

Akumal is one of my favorite places in the world! And this condo complex is a perfect way to enjoy the town. The easy access to town, nearby attractions, the very comfortable accommodations, and the excellent on site staff make this an excellent destination.

Beach was so close!

We loved our stay! The balcony overlooking the water was so close to shore, amazingly awesome to hear the waves! The only frustrating thing was that the kitchen was a bit understocked to so much cooking, but we thoroughly enjoyed the neighboring restaurant La Buena Vida! The staff at the condo was kind and attentive! We’d come back!!!

Caribbean at the back door

we had a wonderful stay. The condo was very clean and bright, with sliding doors leading straight to the beach. Snorkeling is fantastic right there. A very short walk to a great restaurant (La Buena Vida), and short walks to the colorful Yal-Ku lagoon and the sea turtle cove to the south. Clam, quiet, relaxing. Only thing missing might be a rack to dry some clothes but that would be our only suggestion for improvement... everything from service to location was fantastic.

Enjoyed our stay

Perfect for our needs. Not a high end resort but has everything you need for your Mexican home away from home. Cleaning service was top notch. Location was great in the middle of Half Moon Bay. We rented a golf cart for week and even though it isn't 100% necessary it is nice to be able to zip back and forth to main Akumal. Snorkelling right out your door in the bay. Didn't utilize the pool much as it was by the restaurant and just didn't go hang out there much. A pool onsite would make it so much better. Beds not that bad for comfort. Not super soft but much better than some I have encountered in other Mexican hotels/resorts. Not even a con but just a couple of things to be aware of. Hot water takes awhile to come and if you leave food out or dirty dishes there are tiny ants that are running around. Neither bothered us much. Wifi was best in living area and out on patio and on beach. Cement furniture not very comfortable but I think that can be pretty standard for Mexican condos. Amazing sunrises! The location does lose the sun behind the building in the afternoon quickly though. Would recommend for the budget travelers with family.

Beautiful private beachfront condo away from the crowds

The condo is located north of the crowded Akumal beach in Half Moon Bay. It's a short 15 minute walk to town and the very close to the amazing Buena Vida restaurant. The condo is clean and well maintained with onsite staff to assist if needed. There is maid service and they really do a terrific job. The view from the condo is amazing! You are right on the water. The beds were comfortable with a king in the main bedroom. We found that we loved the place so much that we didn't end up doing as much siteseeing as we might normally have. About my only complaint would be the persistent sulfer smell in some areas. This is due to the seaweed and can vary but we stopped noticing it after a couple of days. Nothing to do with the condo. If you dive there is a shop next door but they were booked when we were there so I ended up going through Akumal Dive in town and they were fantastic. Thanks Del Sol, we will definitely be back. Best VRBO I've ever rented.
