Old-School Charm on the Course – Patio Views & Sleeps 6

Come to relax, golf and/or visit the University of Arizona from this 2-bedroom condo in Tucson. This quiet little property features a lovely patio and a comfortable family room perfect for an easy stay. We are part of a private neighborhood with great views of the golf course and the Catalina Mountains. Our home is in a centrally located golf course community.


We love our little condo. The neighborhood gives Caddyshack vibes and was built in 1970's. It has newly restored, stamped cement floors throughout the main spaces showing its history. The main room boast large new sliders that span most of the wall to the patio.

This is a spacious property with two bedrooms and two baths. There is a fully stocked kitchen with separate dining room. The community pool, park benches and guest parking are just steps from your front door. 

Lots of activities to enjoy. Dorado Country Club boast an 18 hole golf course, with 8 par fours, and 10 par threes. Early morning walks, before the course opens, along the golf course are a great way to start off the day.

It's a 5 minute drive to The Loop bike path with a great eastside location allowing access to Sabino Canyon, Saguaro National Monument East, Mt. Lemmon. The location is also not far from ranches where you can enjoy horseback riding tours. A drive to Mt Lemmon and Summerhaven Resort offers skiing/snowboarding in the winter months and cooler weather in the summer months.

The Dorado Country Club community is located approximately 1 mile from St. Joseph's Hospital, 2 miles from Park Place Mall, 3 miles from the Tucson Medical Center, and 7 miles from the University of Arizona. Lots of shopping options within 2 miles.

Condo is professionally cleaned after each stay and the entire cleaning deposit is used to pay the maid and laundry service companies.

Old School Charm’s location is like an oasis. After a busy day it is a quiet, lovely place to come home to. Also, a peaceful place for taking walks. Yet, you are close to shopping and restaurants etc. We enjoyed our time there very much. Oh, you will love the patio area!

Comfortable home

This was perfect location for us as other family located nearby, the property was well supplied and clean . We didn't spend much time due to family gathering elsewhere.Owner replied and took care of serious problem with a rain leak promptly during our stay. Would recommend this property

Needs TLC.

The owners were very responsive. They have a nice view of the golf course and the golf course is on site. The place was not that clean. Coffee was left in the coffee pot. Water left in the tea pot. Counters had crumbs on them. Hair on the floor in bathroom. Floors dirty. Chair in living room needs to be replaced. Grill needs to be replaced. Patio doors do not open well at all!! I would not stay here again.

I'm genuinely surprised by your review, especially considering that we spoke on three separate occasions during your stay. On the day of your arrival, I called to check in and specifically asked if everything was in order — you assured me that everything was great. Additionally, just two days before your scheduled check-in, you requested to arrive a day and a half early. I let you know that would be fine, provided the maids had finished cleaning after the previous guest. Once I confirmed that the cleaning was complete, I allowed you to check in early — at no extra charge for the additional night and a half. If the condo had not been clean, I would have appreciated being informed at the time. I would have immediately contacted the maid service to return, as they are paid in full to clean thoroughly between guests. I’ve personally stayed in the condo three times since your visit — without the maid service knowing I was the guest — and it has been very clean each time. Regarding the sliding doors: they are fully functional but include security locks at the top corners. These must be unlocked for the doors to open. Clear instructions are posted on each sliding door to ensure guests are aware of this. After your departure, I found that the glider rocker had a missing screw, which has since been repaired. As with any home, things can occasionally break — but if you had let me know, I would have been happy to address it right away. The BBQ grill is just three years old and remains in good working condition. Lastly, during our third conversation, you called because you were unsure how to get hot water in the kitchen. After I explained turning the faucet opposite of cold, the issue was resolved. Again, during that call, I asked how your stay was going, and you responded that everything was good. Had you communicated any of your concerns during your stay, I would have done my best to resolve them promptly. I'm truly puzzled by your review, as it suggests intentional neglect, which certainly was not the case.

We live in Washington state and found this condo on a trip to visit our children attending the University of Arizona. During our time, in Tucson we have loved visiting the near by ranches for horseback riding and visiting Summerhaven to cool off and enjoy the viewpoints on the way. We've owned this home for about 4 years now and are new to renting it out ourselves. Our guests normally include our friends and family but we are trying out managing & renting it to the public over the last 6 months. We visit the condo about 4 times a year and have a handyman, landscaper, maid and laundry service companies take care of the condo for us.

This neighborhood is mainly owner occupied and part of an HOA. This aspects creates an atmosphere of pride in ownership and the circle remains well maintained because of it. It is a quiet neighborhood away from the main road with neighbors that pay attention making it a safe place. This neighborhood is mostly a retirement area, I don't believe there are many residence still heading to work each day. Everyone is very friendly and there is generally a few residence in and out of the pool/common area during the day ready for a chat.

This property stood out to me because it's spacious, the windows bring a ton of light and there is no sense of being closed in. The golf course gives off the most relaxed feeling in the mornings and a sense of lightness during the day with all the golfers enjoying their time with music, drinks and friends. We both love sitting on the patio watching the game go by when we are home. We were won over by the neighbors and their friendliness. The condo is close enough to the University where you are away from the commotion and noise but still easy to get the kids to come stay and visit.
