Good location in Winter Harbor. Very small bathrooms. Beds were not very comfortable. No dressers for storage. Some nice updates. Walking distance a couple of restaurants and a coffee shop.

The location of this property is ideal. Easy walk to restaurants, the 5&10 (next door), the town wharf, the Island Explorer (across the street), brewery just up the road, and the ferry to Bar Harbor. Very clean living-space, with a nice kitchen and updated bathrooms. Only two of us stayed with our dog, and we had plenty of room. Only used the outside area for grilling. Onsite laundry in the basement was a nice bonus. Host was very responsive for the occasional question, but we didn't really need anything during our stay.

Loved staying here. Was comfortable clean and had everything we needed for a lovely stay in winter harbour. The location is UNBEATABLE right in town. Cooed lobster, walked to the water, hiked Schoodic. Awesome place for a great price.

We enjoyed our stay! The house is spacious and has amenities like a washer/dryer and grill that makes everything easy and convenient for families. The location is amazing. It’s in quiet Winter Harbor, about a two minute walk from where the lobster boats dock, a 30 second walk to a playground with zip line, basketball court, and large park for kids and dogs to run, and around the corner to a supermarket and the “downtown” with restaurants, cafes, general store. The Schoodic area is absolutely beautiful, and this house is only a 20 minute drive to Schoodic Point. Dave was also very accessible. I highly recommend this house rental to others.

Love the Schoodic Summerhouse!

We enjoyed our stay in Winter Harbor. The house is exactly as advertised. It is very cute, but roomy enough to accommodate 4-6 adults no problem. The best thing though, it is within easy walking distance to the harbor, the Five and Dime store (literally next door), restaurants, and the grocery store. It's the perfect location in this charming town. The only improvement we could think of was a little more furniture - a couple more chairs in the living room (although it has a big sectional couch) and a chest/dresser in the bedrooms the larger bedrooms for clothes, electronics, etc. The owner is quick to respond and easy to work with, and the check-in / out were refreshingly simple.

First Time visiting Winter Harbor/ Bar Harbor ME

I wasn't really sure what to do with a Vrbo reservation. This was our first one.I sent the owner messages through Vrbo the day we arrived in Bangor and he responded right away. There was no instructions on the trash situation. I wasn't sure if they recycled or not. I message him through the Vrbo app and he responded. The beds were comfortable.The couch was uncomfortable for 4 adults. I'm guessing the wifi code was downstairs on modem. The washer and dryer worked great. We didn't have to bring alot of clothes. There's a full kitchen you can use. Winter Harbor had a small grocery store, it closed early.There is a charcoal weber on the right side of the house. No fire pit. All the restaurant in Winter Harbor all close by 8pm.(Monday- Sunday). We eat at the Mosquito, The Pickel Wrinkle,Chases,Treehouse,Downeastern coffee shop and cafe across from the 5 and 10 store. They were all good! The people are friendly and fun. We even played 9 holes of golf at the Grindstone.

My husband and I stayed at this rental in Winter Harbor for seven nights in October 2025. This house is located minutes from the entrance to Acadia NP Schoodic Pennisula. It is an area often overlooked by visitors. The drive to Schoodic Point is approx. 25 minutes and I am sure has some spectaular sunrise and sunset views. I was there at sunrise on a cloudy morning and found it more spectacular our all day drive. The incoming tides spectacular! Wonderful view out of the north window every morning at sunrise. We loved our time staying at his property. David was very responsive to any communications I had with him prior to our arrival, upon arrival, and prior to our departure. We took no photos of the house; the on-line photos are exactly how the residence looked when we arrived. There is a full kitchen; which allowed us to cook some meals rather than eating out. There was every size pot and pan, nice stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher and lots of quality plates, bowls, coffee mugs, and glasses! The property has three large bedrooms. We only used one of the bedrooms with a queen size bed. It was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in while traveling. Two bathrooms, one is much smaller. But, it worked out well for us. Lots of towels, wash clothes. And, really great washer and dryer in the basement of the residence.Heating in the residence was good. Space heater to warm room before bedtime. We hope to come back and stay again!

We were fortunate enough to meet David and as he said it is a great place but a work in progress. He is very nice and we definitely enjoyed our stay. We love winter harbor!!!
