The house was comfortable, clean and well appointed, located in a quiet neighborhood. Close to Acadia National Park as we made several drives to Bar Harbor (about an hour drive), as well as visits to Schoodic Peninsula. Picked up groceries at Hannaford in Ellsworth on our way to/from Bar Harbor. Enjoyed local dinner at Chase's, and Musquito Harbor Brewing Co.

Fabulous cozy retreat!

We were delighted with this sweet home...very well updated while keeping the old charm. It was beyond perfectly stocked...kitchen utensils, games, bikes and so much more. The area is wonderful for adventures!!

Our family absolutely loved our stay in Winter Harbor. The house was close to beautiful sites and fun activities and I'm not sure we've stayed in a better appointed house. Would absolutely return again and again.

Very relaxing stay in Winter Harbor, Maine. House was clean, neat and had every possible item we would need or want.....incredibly well stocked, both inside and outside (e.g. bicycles, games, lawn chairs)! Host was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. I would highly recommend this house and these hosts if planning a vacation in this area.

Excellent house in the heart of Winter Harbor

The house was very comfortable and very well appointed. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes. Bathrooms large and modern with wonderful showers. Beds extremely comfortable. We had a very enjoyable week in Winter harbor and the surrounding area.

The house was charming, well appointed with everything we could want. Nice appliances, updated bathrooms and great location. One of the best places we’ve rented. Schoodic peninsula has lots of close hikes and views of sunrise and sunset. Loved the vibe and friendliness of the town. Would love to come back!

Wonderful Winter Harbor

This was our second stay at this lovely home and it did not disappoint! We love the quiet side of Acadia and Sharon’s home is perfect for our family of 3! Clean and well appointed, walking distance to the cove, restaurants, grocery & the beloved five and dime! Owner provided lots of info about the area and was quick to respond to questions. Laundry onsite was great and kitchen had all we needed. We hope to stay again soon!

Family get away

Loved the location of the house. Was on the quiet side of Acadia but we love to hike and sit and watch the waves at Schoodic Point. We took the ferry to Bar Harbor and had a great time. Took our morning walks around town. The house was comfortable and new bathrooms nice. Would rent here again.

Great house and location

My husband and I enjoyed the away-from-the-crowds location and house. The house was clean, very well supplied, had nice bedrooms/bathrooms and was close enough to Acadia Nat'l. Park sites, particularly Schoodic Point, and some decent restaurants. Although we didn't get around to riding bikes, we were impressed that bike helmets were supplied along with bikes. We enjoyed breakfast every morning at the J.M. Gerrish restaurant around the corner. Overall we had a very positive experience!

Wonderful Experience

We had the best trip. The house was perfect for our family of 5. It was very clean, well stocked with kitchen supplies, and anything else you could need. The location was Great! We loved being able to see the water from the house and beingso close to Scoodic. We had dinner at the Treehouse on the corner, it was Fantastic! Breakfast at JMGerrish was delicious and if you are Starbucks snob like me the espresso at Downeaster is on point! Thank You for a wonderful experience!

Property was spotless and well appointed. The only thing I would suggest is a sign at the bottom of the stairwell warning that the ceiling at the top of the stairs is extremely low! To prevent any head injuries, that should be mandatory.

Winter Harbor vacation

What a wonderfully maintained home! The hosts provided everything anyone could need to feel at home, and check to make sure that their guests do feel at home. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We are all serious coffee drinkers and Sharon and George went out of their way to make sure we had a new coffee pot that would serve a group, rather than a Keurig. They will answer any questions you have about the home, or the area. The home is beautiful and comfortable, with games, movies, TVs, a perfect table for playing board games, bicycles, renovated kitchen and cozy living room. Stairs to bed rooms are steep, but lit well. The bed was so comfortable that I slept better there than I ever do at home. In fact we all felt so at home there that we were very sad to leave. Also, Garrish's a couple blocks away was a delightful place for breakfast and lunch and the folks there treat travelers as friends. Other restaurants are walking distance and a farmer's market is across the street on Tuesday. Thanks George and Sharon for treating your guest so kindly!
