Over the Rainbow is a charming riverfront cabin located directly on the Little Red River with its own private dock. The rustic cabin atmosphere makes it a great choice for a fishing trip, couples getaway, or relaxing stay by the water.

Inside, the cabin features a queen bed on the main level and a full bed in the loft, providing sleeping space for up to four guests. The living area includes an electric fireplace, and new AC units were installed in 2025 for added comfort.

Outside, guests can enjoy the patio, cook on the Blackstone grill, and spend time along the river or on the private dock.

Over the Rainbow is located approximately three miles from Lobo Landing Marina and about 10 minutes from downtown Heber Springs, where you will find restaurants, shopping, groceries, a movie theater, and more.

Traveling with a larger group? Over the Rainbow's sister cabin, Magic Mist, is located right next door and can also be rented separately. Magic Mist sleeps up to four additional guests.

We had a great stay at this cozy cabin! The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and very convenient. The cabin itself was comfortable and had a warm, inviting feel.We especially appreciated how pet-friendly the property was, which made the trip even better. The shared canoes between cabins were also a big plus, helping us get out on the water and limit out our catch.The only downside was that there was no laundry or kayaks as listed. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting, and was one of the reasons we chose this location due to a long travel schedule.Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay—we’d definitely come back!

The communication was fantastic and check in could not have been easier. This cabin is adorable, clean, comfortable and cozy. The river is gorgeous, quiet and serene. There are other homes near by but we still felt like we had plenty of privacy. We can't wait to visit again.

Melanie with Arkansas vacation rentals went above and beyond to ensure that the stay was booked and ready for the 2 week stay! We can not say enough about how thankful we were for direct and easy communication! The place was Perfect! Clean! Comfortable! Beautiful view! Super peaceful. The beds were comfortable! Perfect little place for any stay!

Our anniversary stay at this rustic cabin in Heber Springs was exactly what we were hoping for. The experience started off strong because the check in process required no talking to anyone. We simply confirmed our arrival through text and received the access code and all the important details by email. Everything was smooth and effortless. The cabin itself was truly rustic and charming. It was quiet in the most perfect way. The surrounding area had very little activity and that created a peaceful atmosphere that we really appreciated. I loved having my morning coffee on the nearly fully wrapped around porch and took advantage of the grill several times. We also spent time down on the dock along the Little Red River watching boats go by and listening to the wildlife. There are several nice restaurants close by and I even found a few great places to look for antiques. The entire trip was incredibly relaxing and we ended up adding an extra day because we enjoyed it so much and the cabin was still available. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful, no stress getaway.

My wife and I really enjoyed our six nights stay at Over the Rainbow cabin. It was enjoyable to sit out on the patio watching the river by and the occasional fishing boat.We were glad we were able to cook our own breakfast in the morning, although our lunch was usually leftovers from the restaurants that we would eat at in the evenings. We enjoyed eating at Verona Italian restaurant, Zeke and Lizzie’s, and of course, Macks Seafood and Steak restaurant. The only thing I can think of that might improve the place. Some is it needs a new recliner, as the vinyl one there is getting pretty raggedy. There are also a few electrical outlets by the bed that were not working, and in a few places on the floor, there were nails sticking up a little bit. Other than that, we really enjoyed it and we’ll probably be back.

A Truly RELAXING Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin has so much potential. The location was amazing! Quiet, peaceful and tranquil. We used the deck extensively. There were several nice deck amenities. Blackstone griddle, charcoal grill, and an electric smoker. They provided charcoal, fluid and smoking chips. All were dirty. The smoker and griddle had rancid drain/smoke pans. The inside of the property was clean but needed deep cleaned. Cobwebs in corners, hairs on the chair slipcover, and in the bathroom and dirty pans (burnt on crud). The outside needs a lot of work. The outdoor furniture had seen better days, and the cushions were dirty. Both need refreshed/replaced. There was a bed frame under the cabin, and some moldy lifejackets. There is a boat out front, that needs hauled off. It’s got standing water in it and is an Invitation for mosquitoes. The cabin stated it sleeps 4. It sleeps two, safely. The loft is a liability if you want someone to sleep in it. The ladder is almost straight up and down. I asked if the jacuzzi tub worked and was told yes. Half of the jets worked, and the 1990’s tub is full of crazing. It’s past time to replace. The bed was comfortable. The chairs need replacing. They are old and tired. The kitchen sink has no finish left on it. Needs replaced. It was a much needed getaway and had some wonderful touches. However, it’s time for to refresh/replace/restore/clean up. We loved the deck! We stayed out on the deck, the vast majority of the time. We went nowhere. It was wonderful to be secluded and being on the river. We couldn’t enjoy the dock as the ramp was way too steep. Great location, easy check in and I have recommended it to friends, as a tranquil getaway. The manager provided excellent service.

Good Times are Always Over The Rainbow

Brought my boat up this time with me and had best fishing ever on very quiet place on the river. Took about an hour to navigate the extreme low water and had to drag boat over a few low shoals because I put in at lowest flow (my bad). Great fishing. Went to butcher shop and snagged best steaks and had a first class cooker located on the deck. Bed was magically comfortable and was able to soak my tired body in a fabulous jetted tub. Internet and TV worked wonderfully. My wife like to sit on expansive deck while I fished. Loved the overall improvements that have been made. I hope this place isn’t booked next time we’re ready to go. Pack light - cabin has everything. It’s romantic. It’s great location. It’s actually one of the nicest places on the river located in one of the best fishing location. At the end - we hauled out the trash, clicked our heels three times and in 1.5 hours we were back home in Kansas - oops - Benton. Thanks for the fantasy fish & romantic place to renew our passions.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were several things that need repairs at the rental. Toilet paper holder falls off wall. Some lights on the back deck do not work. Internet was spotty at best. Jacuzzi tub in bathroom did not work. Coffee pot leaked water and the creamer was old and and could make someone sick. There was also a broken window that had not been replaced. I have been staying here for years and the toilet paper holder has been broken for years along with the lights on the porch and the tub used to work. I just do not understand why you purchase a place and do not do the upkeep for your guests. As a plus they did get a new black stone grill. I will always come back because I love the place but I have a few suggestions. Blinds on the top windows so you do not have to wake up with the sun and a King size bed.

We loved the cabin itself! The dock did have a missing metal piece that made going down there virtually impossible because we have a toddler that could easily have fallen off without those rails. I messaged them about it & it was the first time it had been reported. They were very apologetic and responsive. I’m sure they will get it fixed promptly. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay. The bathroom is a dream after a long day. The bed was so comfortable. Wifi worked well. Access was very easy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were several things that need repairs at the rental. Toilet paper holder falls off wall. Some lights on the back deck do not work. Internet was spotty at best. Jacuzzi tub in bathroom did not work. Coffee pot leaked water and the creamer was old and and could make someone sick. There was also a broken window that had not been replaced. I have been staying here for years and the toilet paper holder has been broken for years along with the lights on the porch and the tub used to work. I just do not understand why you purchase a place and do not do the upkeep for your guests. As a plus they did get a new black stone grill. I will always come back because I love the place but I have a few suggestions. Blinds on the top windows so you do not have to wake up with the sun and a King size bed.
