Barn Loft Apartment on Regenerative Family Farm

Escape to the rolling hills of Bloomingdale Ohio, and relax in this all-new construction on our regenerative family farm.

Soak in the countryside from the moment you wake up, with stunning views all around. Watch the sunset from the living room, or step out onto the private deck for a closer look. We designed the open floorplan with family life in mind, and it makes a great setting for spending vacation time together. At the end of the day, curl up for a restful night in the cozy back bedrooms.

Sleeping arrangements include a master bedroom with one queen bed, and a second bedroom with three twin beds. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Our location combines the peace and beauty of the country with the convenience of nearby towns and attractions. It's an easy 20-25 minute drive to Steubenville. If you want to explore our country neighborhood, you can find an ice cream stand and restaurants within a ten minute drive. We are 10 minutes from Catholic Family Land, and we are also close to Jefferson Lake State Park and Austin Lake.

Birdwatchers take note! Our regenerative farming methods bring a variety of fascinating wildlife to our property. We regularly see redwing blackbirds, bluebirds, mockingbirds, swallows, and hummingbirds. Blue herons like to hang out in our pond, as well as various wild ducks and geese. We've also occasionally seen bald eagles and ospreys catching fish in the pond.

Guests may not use the lower level of the barn.

Guests are invited to use our ~1 acre pond for boating or catch-and-release fishing. Please reach out to the host to arrange access at a convenient time during your stay.

We are a small family farm and our animals are working animals. We are happy to set up a time to show guests around the farm, but we ask that you do not approach the animals unless you are with us.

The apartment is equipped with a sophisticated waterless toilet. It is easy to use and takes care of business without generating unpleasant smells. Please reach out with any questions.

We have a very sweet and friendly livestock guard dog. She is fenced out of the walkway, parking and outdoor areas connected to the apartment. However, our guests may hear occasional barking at night as she does her job protecting our livestock from predators.
