Darling Coastal Hillside Hideaway with some quirks
We found the property just as described with a little quirks along the way. This sweet and simple, French home in the hills of Eze offered us a nice homebase while we traveled between Monaco & Nice for the week. The kitchen was well equipped. There is a Mini-Fridge only, so don't bring too many groceries (as the French do!). If you like your privacy, you might not enjoy that there are no doors to the bedrooms - only the room with 2 short twins in it. I'm breastfeeding our baby, so it would have been nice to have that privacy in the adult rooms. The home and neighborhood is not very accessible if you are not good with stairs. Lots of them! While there is a sidewalk to the beach, it's quite a trek. La Mala Beach just East of Eze is worth the bus ride over for a nice swim & cocktail! There's also a cute and delicious cafe just below the home on the main road called La Vieille Maison with the freshest OJ, delicious latte's & baguette sandwiches. An uber up to Eze Village is about 15 Euros. A van to the Nice Airport was 85 Euros.
Brilliantly located, fabulous views, lovely outside space
We really enjoyed staying at Henry and Liberty's house. The location is stunning, the house is lovely and we used the recommendations in the notes religiously because they were so fail- safe. It's rare to get such a comprehensive, accurate and generously detailed set of notes at a holiday house and these were just excellent. We loved Eze beach and the restaurant there, we visited Villefranche, Paloma beach and we caught the train to Nice to explore the antiques market.
We used the BBQ (and the fresh lemons and rosemary) and we are outside for every meal.
There are some quirks to the house, but nothing too challenging- we found it well equipped and having undergone some notable improvements since the photos were taken (a new bathroom and a much improved children's room)
Wonderful House and wonderful Eze
We stayed at Henry's house in early July for a week with our three kids. Arrived late and woke to the wonderful view of the bay at Eze. A great place to explore the nearby villages and beaches, just a 5 minute walk down to the train. Then each evening we would walk down to the beach in Eze for a swim and then an ice cream and beer in the village cafe. We loved the quiet end of the beach by the train station, crystal clear water. Great recommendations in the notes at the house, early morning on Paloma beach and a walk around Cap Ferrat.
The house is very comfortable, everything you need and then two amazing terraces to choose from for drink and bbq dinner with a view over the sea - magic.
Thanks Henry, a great stay,
Stunning property in a stunning location
We absolutely loved the two weeks we spent here. The house itself is lovely and very well furnished. Views of the Mediterranean are outstanding, we spent many hours sitting on the upper terrace enjoying them with a glass of wine! Location great, so much to explore and do. Henry really helpful in the run up to and during the holiday. Would highly recommend, already thinking about when we can return!
Nice house with fantastic view
The house was really nice with a fantastic view, in a quiet neighbourhood and with a short distance to the beach. Could easily do a quick swim before breakfast! The house was clean and well maintained. The small bedroom is only for younger children (maybe up to 12 years) as the two beds are quite short. Not a problem for us. Recommend this house for other families with children.
Côte at it's best...
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Lou Mazet with breakfast with view to the sea from kitchen window and from both terraces as well. Also customer service was prompt and perfect. I would recommend this house to everyone who enjoys to relax at the Côte near to such beautiful places like Beaulieu, Villefranche and Nizza. It is also very worth to discover "La Turbie", where you can find "Café de la Fontaine" a typical french restaurant with amazing kitchen and service at three or more languages: you'll feel like in Paris...
