We understand there may have been some confusion accessing the home, and as discussed, VRBO customer service was able to assist you promptly in getting access. In terms of the concerns mentioned, we wish these had been communicated during your stay so we could have addressed them immediately. We take maintenance and guest experience seriously, and timely communication allows us the opportunity to resolve issues in real time. We also want to note that while we strive to provide a seamless experience, the concerns raised were not brought to our attention at the time, which limited our ability to assist you further during your stay. Based on this experience, we believe the communication from your side could have been more proactive, especially given that support was readily available through both us and VRBO. We are always committed to improving, but it is equally important that guests follow provided instructions and reach out promptly when assistance is needed. We take guest feedback seriously, but it’s important to respond to inaccurate and misleading statements. This guest never reported any of these issues during their stay. If there was a concern with cleanliness or maintenance, we would have addressed it immediately—had we been given the chance. Instead, we were informed after they checked out and after leaving the property in a very poor condition that required deep cleaning, damaged items repair, and replacement of furnishings due to the state they left them in. The home is professionally cleaned and inspected prior to every check-in. Photos are accurate and regularly updated. Pest control is scheduled routinely, and there were no prior complaints from guests. As for the stained couch and carpet they mentioned—both were left that way after their stay. Respecting a host’s home is part of the guest agreement. We encourage future travelers to read through our many positive reviews and know that we are responsive, transparent, and committed to providing a clean, well-maintained space. We stand by the quality of our property and expect the same respect in return.

We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. However, we were quite surprised by your comments, especially since throughout your stay, our communication was consistent and your responses indicated everything was going well. To clarify: the carpets were professionally cleaned just before your arrival. The home is furnished exactly as shown in the photos, including two living rooms that comfortably accommodate up to ten guests. We take great pride in maintaining our property and being responsive to our guests, which you acknowledged during your stay. It is disappointing to hear concerns only after checkout, particularly when the home was left in poor condition. We value all feedback and are always striving to improve, but fairness and accuracy are equally important in reviews.
