Welcome to your tranquil island cottage located just steps from the beach in the heart of the Bahamas. This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom retreat is located on Russell Island, a mile over the bridge from Spanish Wells itself. Specifically designed to provide you with a peaceful, comfortable escape, making your stay truly exceptional. Welcome to your home away from home with ocean views, Caribbean breezes, glorious sunsets and all the comforts you may wish for.

Audrey our wonderful caretaker will be at the Spanish Wells dock to meet you and assist you in your arrival to the Cottage. She too is there to assist you with any enquiries you may have throughout your stay. Audrey takes care of the cottage and cleans it with great care. There is a $200 cleaning fee for her services . This is paid directly to her, upon arrival, for her services, in cash. Thank you.

It was a well maintained, beautifully decorated property that thought of everything you could want or need. Audrey and Carole were welcoming and attentive. We loved sitting on the porch playing cards, visiting or eating supper listening to birds chirping while overlooking the ocean and greenery.

Our stay at Island Vibe was absolutely amazing - amazing location, great house, comfy rooms, awesome porches and outstanding hosts with Carole and Audrey! This rental is a 5 out of 5 for a reason and we had a wonderfully memorable stay in Spanish Wells. If you’re at all on the fence about renting this house, do it. You won’t regret it!

Second Stay

This was our second stay at this property. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids. There was plenty of space for everyone. Location is perfect and the house was once again beautiful and clean. We will definitely stay again.

Beautiful and peaceful

We stayed here for my birthday and will definitely be back. Communication was great and everyone was really accommodating and helpful. We even got some special treats which was so sweet and thoughtful. Its a short walk from a beautiful beach. Definitely stay here, we will be back!!

Charming cottage

This was the cutest, coziest house! It was well stocked with everything you need, including spices, shampoo/conditioner, and beach gear. It was beautifully decorated too. Audrey is a wonderful caretaker who picked us up at the dock and even baked us a loaf of pumpkin bread!! I recommend staying here!

Quick lovely stay

My husband and I visited the island to also see my parents that were staying in the Bahamas on their sailboat. It was a lovely property with vibrant coastal decor and all the amenities you can think of! Although the ocean is visible from the house, the beach access is no longer allowed at the end of the street which was a little disappointing however, with a quick gulf cart ride or walk you can still be to the water in no time!

Danielle Cannot tell you how much we enjoyed hosting yourself and your family. You are correct. The beach access at the end of the road is no longer available. This Bahamian family ownership took us completely by surprise, feels like the rug has been pulled right out from under us. But yes, a very short buggy ride and/or walk and one of the the gorgeous beaches on the Island are very close. We too continue to investigate this and hope to have access returned soon . Adorable Cottage

The cottage was so cute and clean! It had everything you could possibly need for a vacation in Spanish Wells. This house is actually just over the bridge on Russell Island, but the location is still great and close to everything. Audrey was the nicest! She was so helpful and we enjoyed getting to know her! Just what we needed!

I can’t say enough about Carole and Audrey; they are both amazing. Carole stayed in contact with me the couple weeks leading up to our stay, during our stay, and afterward. She and Audrey were quick to respond with any questions and willing to assist in any possible way. The space was clean, close to the beach, and had everything we needed. We hope to visit again!

We had a fabulous stay at the house! Everything was perfect! Carole arranged for our transportation from the airport to the dock and the ferry ride over to Spanish Wells. Once we arrived at Spanish Wells dock Audrey the caretaker was waiting for us and escorted us back to the house. Our golf cart rental was also prearranged and waiting at the dock when we arrived. The house was spotless and had everything you would need. Plenty of beach toys, beach towels even sunscreen! The views from the porch are beautiful and it is about a 1-2 minute walk to the most serene beach I’ve ever seen. We had the beach to ourselves all week. Audrey was excellent and quick to respond to any questions and arranged a boat tour which I highly recommend. I would definitely return and recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful relaxed vacation.

Lovely Cottage on Russel Island

This is a cute cottage on Russell Island, just a few houses up from a shallow sandy beach great for kids and families. The home was nicely decorated, clean, the linens and bedding were fresh, kitchen stocked with some helpful cooking basics, the beach toys and kayak wonderful, as well as the hospitality from both the owner, Carole, and caretaker, Audrey. Audrey met us at the boat and helped facilitate a golf cart for us and had fresh bread waiting at the house for us; it really made the arrival process extremely smooth. One thing to note, however, is despite the cleanliness, the home as an odor (somewhat similar to stale cigarette smoke) that could bother those with sensitive noses. I addressed it with the owner and they noted they have and would continue to remedy it.

Emily Thank you for your kind words and positive notations. In terms of the odor mentioned and as discussed, an extensive repatriation of the third floor has recently been undertaken. Also too extensive remodel and improvements have been conducted in the cottage. This too is a non-smoking location as noted in the VRBO listing, plus there is no history of smoking at the cottage. Tom and I believe this residual scent may be from construction materials recently used. We appreciate your input, enjoyed hosting your family and hope to see you again.

Great clean property

Great clean property. Smaller living room/kitchen area but the porch/deck area is great and helps with space. Nice view. The location on VRBO showed the property on Spanish Wells but the property is located on Russell Island. Thankfully Audrey was available to lead us to the property because it was not close to were I thought it was. The pictures and setting were exactly as presented just a different location than we understood. Nice quiet neighborhood. There is a 200 cash cleaning fee to be paid on arrival. I asked them to stock a bit of breakfast food so we would have something for the first morning. They were happy to do that and I really appreciated that! Also, a fresh baked product was left on the table for us and it was scrumptious! We would be happy to return here.

I have had numerous, endless conversations with VRBO on the location they show us at. I at least finally got us pinpointed on land. Very important difference and I appreciate your pointing that out. Slice of Paradise!

This house was absolutely PERFECT in every way, and I cannot thank Audrey enough for her superb service and kind hospitality! She is by far the BEST caretaker I have ever met and attended to our every need/ request! The process from start to finish was like none other! We had constant communication with the owner, who is also awesome and always made sure we were well taken care of! The house is very close to a stunning beach that we had all to ourselves for the week! The house is so beautifully decorated and has EVERYTHING you will possibly need! This island is so welcoming with the kindest people and this was by far our best trip ever! There are so many special touches included in this rental, that make it the BEST of the BEST! It is located close to wonderful restaurants and shops, everything you need for a beautiful and relaxing vacation! Don’t miss out on the best rental by far! Thanks so much! We had the absolute BEST STAY!! Hope to be back one day soon!!!
