This weekend was the absolute best trip we decided to take for my partner birthday weekend. The warm and beautiful hospitality was the best decision selecting the house. Everything was clean and easy to access. The beautiful view access to see the mountains.
Asked the host for birthday decorations. Did not disappoint and had it ready before our arrival.

At the time I was at this cabin, the host had advertised the appliances were new. They were six years old according to the manufacturers tagwhich isn’t that big of a deal, but the seal on the refrigerator was leaking and the freezer was icing up because the door was not closing. The main jet pump to the hot tub was not functioning, and there was severe visible mold in the TV room such that I couldn’t stay in the room. A few days into the stay, it rained heavily, and Water actually ran across the floor in the TV room. There were nails sticking up out of the deck for you to walk on.The real grind was the way the host handled it. I reported this to the host immediately. I was asked when I would be able to vacate the property, but they were not willing to give me a refund of any kind. So here I am out of state worried about being evicted the entire time we are at the cabin. The host response in writing was that everything was new. He had installed it himself. However, in the pictures you can see the new hot tub, but the trees had grown a good 15 feet since that picture was taken. The host changed the verbiage on the ad, so it no longer says new appliances after I pointed this out to him. Then in writing, of course he said that he had never advertise the property that way. In short, this host is caustic and will not make any real attempt to solve legitimate problems. Instead, he will deny that there is a problem and offer to send a repair person out and charge you for it.

We booked this cabin last minute and it looked exactly like the photos showed. The view was incredible and the amenities were nice (hot tub, media room and multiple bedrooms available). The only downside was the road leading us to the cabin. As we expected it to be “off the beaten path” we did not expect the road to be washed away with tons on potholes and blind spots to get in and out. If you plan to travel here, make sure to drive a 4x4 vehicle or there would be no way of arriving. Other than that, our stay was nice and we would book again!

Regarding the road, the mountain road leading to the cabin has recently been graded and is always maintained, and it is not in the condition described in the review. Like many cabins in the Smoky Mountains, the property is located on a scenic mountain road which can include curves, elevation changes, and typical rural terrain. Most guests access the cabin comfortably in standard vehicles, though mountain driving can feel unfamiliar if you’re not used to it. We truly appreciate you highlighting the beautiful setting and we’re glad to hear you would book again. We’d love to host you anytime you’re ready for another mountain getaway! 🌄

Property was somewhat dated in areas, but fixtures and appliances were all up to date and in working order, and even included a water filter in the kitchen and a keurig. Property was in a very secluded and quiet area. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. Good rental for the price!

I am a registered nurse that works in the role of leadership and serve as a Chief Clinical Officer for a large skilled nursing organization. I am also a life long learner and a professor. We also owned Chubb Disc Golf a local sporting goods and entertainment company, in which my husband retired from.
