Sunset Sanctuary is in beautiful Desoto Landing, a gated community on Dauphin Island with private access to the beach via boardwalk which is approximately a 3 minutes walk (900 feet) from the property. The boardwalk crosses through protected dunes to a gorgeous beach that can only be accessed by foot. Guests also have access to the community pool and tennis court. The house is newly built in 2022 and is a custom design with elegant touches throughout featuring modern appliances, cabinets, and flooring, and smart flat screen tv’s in every bedroom and on the back deck. Amenities are included at every turn with your comfort, convenience and pleasure in mind.

This family friendly relaxing, beautiful, comfortable and functional gem is set in DeSoto Landing, a private gated community on Dauphin Island. Since this area is closed to public access, you will feel free to bike ride, walk and explore away from crowds and traffic. You have full access to a salt water pool and tennis courts just a 3 minute walk out the front door.

Sunset Sanctuary is located on a cul de sac close to the private access road, so there’s little traffic. People are very considerate about driving slowly in and out of the gated neighborhood. There are also wagons and bikes, and even a bike trailer for the littles — kids find plenty of spaces for riding if they bring scooters, skate boards or roller skates too. It takes just 3 minutes to walk on foot the 980 feet from the house to the beach access. The beach walkway is another 715 feet to the water. All the beach front houses in Desoto Landing have access about 700 feet from the waterline. Look for the aerial view of the area to locate home, pool, tennis courts and beach walkway.

There are four bedrooms featuring a total of 10 beds, all with hospitality quality linens and luxury mattresses. Three bedrooms feature king beds, and two of the bedrooms have full bathrooms in suite.. The bunk room has two sets of bunks (one twin set and one full set) as well as a twin trundle. Additionally, one of the masters includes an added set of built-in bunks for extra sleeping room.

Two of the bathrooms are enclosed showers, and there is a tub/shower in the third bathroom. The bathrooms are stocked with 100% cotton terry with samples of luxury toiletry amenities available for your use.

The fully equipped kitchen features new major appliances as well as a blender, rice cooker, insta-pot and premium cookware and cutlery. The coffee station features an Italian Gaggia Anima Prestige espresso machine and Kona coffee beans. The Gaggia delivers a perfect in-cup coffee result, and it never disappoints. Enjoy a traditional espresso or cafe lungo or simply use the machine to brew hot water to make your favorite infusion or tea in seconds.

The outdoor spaces are equipped for your relaxation and enjoyment as well. The wrap around deck is tied to an ample back deck with seating and lounging space and an outdoor eating area just within sight of the ocean on the east horizon. Downstairs under the house are places for gathering, and a Blackstone gas grill for steaks or hamburgers.

The house also 3 adult bikes and a child trailer as well as a set of corn hole boards and plenty of beach equipment complete with a wagon for transporting everything.

There are many things to explore in this special coastline Island— bike trail extending the length of the island, several playgrounds within biking distance, an aquarium, bird sanctuary, historical forts, a ferry to cross the bay as well as Bellingrath Gardens down the road. Although you’ll love the fully equipped kitchen, there are fresh seafood restaurants, pizza, ice cream as well as “Dinner’s Ready”, a local kitchen preparing meals with a local flair, fresh daily for you to enjoy at home.
