Pool was great, hostess was very helpful. Reservation included membership in Placencia Beach club- which was one of main reasons I booked there. The club was CLOSED, and the owners had to be aware of this.

Beautiful location!

This was my third stay at Sunset Pointe and it did not disappoint. Great location within walking distance to town and shopping. Would definitely recommend a stay at Sunset Pointe.

Beautiful property

We had a wonderful stay at the condo. It was beautiful and comfortable. The location was ideal for us--close to town to be walkable, but far enough away to enjoy the peacefulness. We cannot wait to come back!

Sunset Pointe #2

Recommend this property, it was very clean, as described, everyone was very friendly and a walkable distance from restaurants and shopping. We did rent a golf cart, which we recommend and rent early. We had our coffee watching the sunrise and cocktails watching the sunset on the dock. The pool was great and if we wanted to go to the beach we went to Placencia Beach Club. It was the perfect place to relax and we will go back.

Placencia Paradise!

Placencia is now my favorite beach destination in Belize. It is much more laid back and relaxed than Ambergris Caye and I loved that! And Sunset Pointe was perfect. I loved not getting in my car for 5 days! This is the perfect location a bit away from the village, but still an easy walk. I highly recommend it!

Amazing!!

We had an amazing vacation thanks to you, Francisco and Alfred. Sunset Pointe is beautiful and very well kept. What a vision you and your husband had in the development of the property. Truly splendid. Our rental was absolutely perfect. Francisco was extremely helpful, from the moment we arrived to the the departure in our taxi yesterday. We fell in love with sweet Luna and that gruffly sounding Tiger, 😂. Alfred was so much fun, we didn’t want do anything other than hang out with him every day. We all learned so much about the area, the culture and the snorkeling was to die for. He’s a gem.

Great rental and great location

We stayed at Sunset Pointe Unit#2 from March 4th through the 13th. It was a great location for our Honeymoon. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxing by the beach or pool. The condo was great and has everything you could possibly need. We did a number of day trips with both Alfred and Francisco. They were both fantastic guides, knowledgeable and made our stay even more memorable! Janis and Eric were great as well! Thank you for all of your flexibility and recommendations. There is so much to see and do in Placencia and the surrounding areas that we hope to go back soon! I would recommend getting a golf cart for at least a day or 2 so you can venture out a little further. Otherwise grocery stores, beaches and restaurants are within walking distance. I also have to mention how wonderful all the people we met were. Whether vacationing or locals everyone was kind and helpful if you had a question. Thank you!

Wonderful and Memorable Vacation!

Sunset Pointe was a great find! My husband and I went here for our anniversary and now I want to go back with our children! The location is great. You can enjoy the village of Placencia, which has tons of restaurants. We stayed for a week and could not have eaten at all the places we wanted to try. It's just a short walk into the village but bikes and kayaks were available to us and we used both! From this location you can also enjoy all the water activites such as fishing and snorkling or just relaxing by water with a book. It is also just a short boat ride to the mainland for hiking, cave tubing or visiting ruins. No car is needed but there is place to park one if you decided to get one.The condo is beautiful! It has everything you need. We kept all the french doors open during the day and enjoyed the breeze and turned the air conditioning on at night. The room has plenty of space for two couples or a couple with children. We went in the summer during the "rainy season" and it didn't even rain once! I can't say enough about it! Thanks to Janis, Alfred and the Batts!

Tropical luxury - photos can't do it justice!!

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend a week here -- what a vacation! The photos on this site don't do it justice...the setting and condo are breathtaking! The owners took great care of us...and their condo! It was spotless and, with four adults, we had MORE than enough space in the condo (the private patios off each bedroom are a fantastic touch- we used ours to relax every night before bed! ) Furnishings and appliances are high end and the woodwork is unlike anything I've seen in the US! It's obvious that special care was taken by the owners to make this a very special experience for all who visit...all the comforts of home, gorgeous tile work throughout and even recommendations/contact info with a private local guide. I've never done so much in a week before! We relaxed at the condo, the pool, and wandered on foot into town for food/drink/shopping. With our guide, we were able to go deep-sea fishing, explore the jungle, tube into a cave, visit Mayan ruins, and hike up a mountain in the Jaguar preserve. Our guide even showed us little "well-kept secrets" of the locals for delicious meals. Perhaps one of my favorite excursions was our night cruise through the mangroves to see the glow-in-the-dark sea life! We definitely slept well at the end of each day and are already looking forward to our next trip! Next time we're hoping to bring our young child...sooo much we want to share with her there!! I have already recommended- and will continue to recommend - this oasis to everyone! I promise - you'll be hooked like we are!

We are so thrilled you and your friends enjoyed your stay at Sunset Pointe and our unit #2. How wonderful you were able to enjoy all the varied activities that Placencia and Belize has to offer. Alfred is our personal guide and excellent. Next time you come you will have to spend a few days at Sunset Pointe to enjoy all the amenities we have like the pool, hot tub, Thai massages on the Caribbean dock, fishing off the boat dock, cooking your fresh catch on the BQ, Having a glass of wine on one of out three third floor Widow's Walks, or just reading a book in a hammock. Please do bring your young daughter next time as I know our caretaker's young daughter would love to have a playmate.

Perfect Caribbean Getaway

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Pointe. First of all, the condo in person lived up to the impressive photos and description listed online. We found it to be very clean (especially the spotless polished floors), very well stocked with all the essentials plus extras needed to make our stay very comfortable, and beautifully decorated with artwork and artifacts that added a nice finishing touch to a cozy Caribbean getaway. Also the owner was very receptive from the start of the process, promptly responding to all of our many questions, providing us with information about excursions, restaurants, and other helpful travel tips. It is also clear that the owners take a lot of pride in their investment as the overall Sunset Pointe complex is very well maintained. Also, the location was perfect for us-- close enough to enjoy the local activity of Placencia yet tucked away to enjoy peace and quiet when we wanted to chill. We used the bikes that come with the condo everyday for short rides to the beach, restaurants, shopping and just to explore around town. We always felt safe even when biking back after dark. We also went on some excursions with Alfred, who is amazing. I definitely recommend connecting with him as he is extremely knowledgeable about a lot of things and will make your excursions a memorable experience. Also, Francisco, the property manager, was fabulous. He was always available to answer questions for us, offer assistance when needed and even took us on an excursion. In closing, Sunset Pointe is an excellent choice and I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone traveling to Placencia.

I am so happy you enjoyed your stay at our home away from home . We try to keep the apartment stocked with everything you need including linens and bath and beach towels, Kleenex, toilet tissue and paper towels, hand soap , clothes soap and hair dryer,but if you need to go to the grocery store it is only a short stroll or bike ride into the village. I encourage my guests to ask questions as you did and take advantage of the 18 years of knowledge I have about the area. It is always my pleasure to give each of our guests a prompt and personal reply. You must return , as one trip is not enough to see all that the peninsula and southern Belize has to offer.

Amazing place to stay in Placencia!

Don’t hesitate to book this stay! The host was so responsive and communicative, check in process was seamless. The condo itself is exactly as pictured, beautiful and clean. The location is a short walk into town which was very convenient. Overall we loved our stay and would absolutely come again.

Motorcycle Journey Placencia Stop

I arranged for my ex-husband and son to stay at this property for three nights while on a motorcycle journey from the USA to Argentina. They reported back that they really enjoyed their stay in Placencia and that the property was excellent. It was quite a bit more upscale than what they’ve been staying in and it was a nice treat along the way. Watching the sunrise with coffee on the widows walk was a great way to start their day. It is a close walk into the main part of Placencia but peaceful and quiet when you return. I have stayed at Sunset Pointe in the past, and it is seriously the best place to stay in Placencia. If you get a chance you really need to book this property. I look forward to booking a stay next year. It’s been too long since I’ve been back to Belize.

A magical condo in a magical village

We fell in love with Placencia and this wonderful property felt comfortable and luxurious. Francisco, the caretaker, was helpful but gave us plenty of space/privacy. The beds were kind of hard but we got used to it. Everything else was excellent! We can’t wait to come back.

Absolutely wonderful!

We had 2 couples sharing the condo and there was plenty of room. The rooftop deck had an incredible view. Janis was very responsive and the caretaker was very helpful. We definitely recommend and hope to return.

Relaxing stay in perfect condo

The condo has the cutest decor and the loveliest location! Our tours were able to pick us up at the canal. The breezy dock is right there for reading and relaxing. Easy communication with owner. Only the WiFi was not always reliable. Overall a wonderful stay!!

I am so happy you enjoyed your stay in our unit #2 at Sunset Pointe. I am sorry about the WiFi not being as reliable as it should be. It seems the entire village and area is having WiFi problems with the provider and we hope it will be cleared up in the near future. Thank you for your comments.
