Welcome to Yosemite Base Camp! Located INSIDE Yosemite Park, this spacious (over 2100 sq. ft) 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom cabin has been tastefully remodeled and designed specifically for those seeking an incredibly comfortable Yosemite adventure. The wonderful location places you just 20 miles from Yosemite Valley and only 4 miles from Mariposa Grove, home of the giant trees.
Some features of this great cabin include:
- Updated kitchen with lots of small appliances/cookware
- Two of the bathrooms are en suite!
- 4 KING beds and two rollaway twin beds
- Upstairs loft with full sized POOL TABLE and wet bar!
- BBQ Grill plumbed directly to the house propane
- Whole house generator to keep your vacation going during a power outage
- Internet modem includes a backup battery, which keeps the internet on while the generator gets going!
- Walking distance to the Merced River and Swinging Bridge of Wawona
- Parking for up to 4 cars
- Free Washer and Dryer
- Entire cabin is climate controlled*
The downstairs part of the home is on full central heating and AC. The upstairs loft/bedrooms are on their own mini split heating/AC units.
Each bedroom has its own smart tv (feel free to login to your own apps that are available).

Rental Agreement- Immediately after booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will be sent to you via text and email for E-signing. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours to finalize your reservation. You will also need to upload a photo of the ID associated with the credit card on file. This is solely for fraud protection purposes. E-signing allows you to go straight to the property upon your arrival, instead of coming to our office to sign and get a key!

Access to Yosemite and Nearby Attractions- Yosemite National Park, like many others across the United States, has implemented a reservation system in recent years to manage visitor numbers effectively. Since this home is located INSIDE Yosemite National Park, you will NOT NEED a separate entrance reservation, only proof of your lodging reservation (please see official park website for details). We highly recommend that visitors planning a trip to Yosemite stay informed by regularly checking the National Parks websites and affiliated sources for any updates regarding the reservation system. While we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience, it's important to note that access to Yosemite or nearby attractions cannot be guaranteed, especially during peak seasons. By staying informed and flexible, visitors can better navigate their travel plans and make the most out of their trip to this beautiful region.
The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and much more! Our housekeeping team leaves out salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray. Friends, family, and other guests sometimes leave spices, aluminum foil or ziploc bags at the home. You are most welcome to use any of these items, but if something is particularly crucial to the success of your meals, we do recommend bringing it along with you.
Our vacation homes are some of the few in the Yosemite area to use professionally laundered linens. All linens are professionally serviced for each and every reservation. The linens are washed in commercial grade washers with stronger hypoallergenic detergent than you would find in a residential washer. All linens are then pressed with an iron at 300° F, vs. a standard home dryer that only reaches 160°. You are not likely to find this level of service in other vacation homes.
Please note: Indoor fireplaces are NOT allowed during county-wide burn bans, which often occur in the summer and fall months. This is due to heightened fire risk in the area at those times. Kindly note that since the entire cabin has a heating system, firewood is not provided. The outdoor BBQ is usable year round!
Dog Friendly! - This property IS dog friendly! Please indicate that you will be bringing a dog when you make your reservation and a $100 pet fee will be assessed. This $100 covers the entire stay, and is not a per day charge. There is a 2 dog maximum at the property. Please do not allow your dog(s) on the furniture or leave your dog(s) in the home unattended and use a leash when outside, per county ordinance.
There is parking for 4 cars. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit.
Early check-in and late checkouts are usually unavailable. This includes luggage and grocery drop-offs. Please kindly plan your grocery shopping/traveling around the 4 PM check-in time (you can check in after that as late as you would like). If you need to check in early or check out late, we strongly recommend booking an additional night on the front end or back end of your stay. This will allow you to check in as early or check out as late as you need. Most homes up here have a 10AM checkout. We do 11AM to give you extra time. Our housekeepers and cleaning inspectors work all over the mountains, and timing is usually tight.
Maximum occupancy of 10 guests regardless of age. Infants are included in the total. This is a zoning law that is strictly enforced.
Garbage truck service is not available in Yosemite. Yosemite Park requires visitors, homeowners, and employees to "pack out" their garbage. There are several free bear proof dumpsters within walking distance of the cabin where you can dispose of your garbage. We have directions inside the welcome binder in the cabin, its actually pretty easy!
This property is located inside Yosemite National Park at an elevation of 4000 feet. Snow can often be expected from the late fall to the spring. California Highway Patrol and the National Parks Service may require chains and/or 4 wheel drive with snow tires in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions.
No Smoking- The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.
Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!
Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.
Calling Us - After booking, you are always welcome to call us at our main phone number, 24/7. That number does not receive text messages, but you will receive a text from us after booking and you can respond to that text thread any time you like. We check text messages regularly during the day and early evening.
Please note that this property is nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, a beautiful escape into nature. However, being in such a pristine, natural environment means we occasionally encounter some of nature's residents, such as ants, spiders, insects, mice and cobwebs. While we take every precaution (including regularly scheduled pest control) to minimize these occurrences, they are a natural part of the mountain experience. Please do inform us if you experience any of these during your stay, so that we have the chance to address them to give you a more comfortable experience.
Neighbors- Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!
Internet- Peer-to-peer (for example bit torrent) and downloads of copyrighted and illegal material are strictly forbidden by United States law and our internet provider actively monitor these activities. Guests are fully responsible for any illegal uploading or downloading of content and for other illegal activities. By agreeing to the House Rules, you agree to not perform any illegal activities using the home`s internet connection. Any copyright infringement by guest is subject to release of guests information to copyright holder.

1. Check out time is 11:00am, not 10am like most vacation homes up here!

3. If you have time to start the dishwasher, that would be helpful.
4. Yosemite National Park requires visitors to "pack out" their garbage. For your convenience, the park has placed several free, bear proof dumpsters in the Wawona area!
5. Most importantly, please return any furniture you may have moved during your stay.
