Die Eigentumswohnung Maalaea Kai ist eine Eigentumswohnung mit zwei Schlafzimmern und zwei Bädern direkt am Meer im Dorf Maalaea, 70 hau oli st. Dieses sehr ruhige und friedliche Dorf liegt nur 15 Minuten von den Ferienorten Kihei und Wailea auf der Südseite entfernt. Nach Lahaina und Kaanapali am nördlichen Ende sind es ungefähr die gleichen Entfernungen. Zum Flughafen sind es 15 Minuten.

Das Gerät ist eine zentrale klimatisierte Wohnung am Meer in der dritten Etage, 30 Meter vom Meer entfernt mit einem schönen Blick auf das Meer und die Nachbarn. Platz für bis zu sechs Personen. Das tropische Dekor besteht größtenteils aus Bambusmöbeln.

Beide Schlafzimmer sind geschlossen. Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett mit komplettem Bad, Fernseher, Videorecorder und Meerblick. Das zweite Schlafzimmer hat zwei Einzelbetten und ein Badezimmer mit Dusche.

Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über ein ausziehbares Sofa für zwei Personen, Cocktailmöbel, Cocktailtische, Esstisch mit Stühlen für vier Personen, eine große Theke mit Hockern für zwei Personen, TV, Videorecorder, DVD, Faxgerät, Telefon und ist umgeben von verspiegelten Wänden.

Die geräumige Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit Geschirrspüler, großem Kühlschrank mit Eismaschine, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Mixer, Backofen, Herd, allen notwendigen Kochutensilien, Geschirr und Besteck.

Die Veranda hat einen Tisch und Stühle, von wo aus Sie entspannen können, Wale beobachten und dem Ozean lauschen können. Das Dorf Maalaea hat einen weißen Sandstrand, der sich bis nach Kihei erstreckt und zum Wandern einlädt.

Great Vacation Condo with Beautiful Ocean View

This condo has great location to go east, north or west especially taking snorkeling boat trip. It has 2 bedrooms with 1 king, 1 queen sofa bed and 2 twin beds. All beds are comfortable. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The condo has central AC. It was perfect for my family. Thank you, Chrstine, for hosting us! We will come back if possible.

Disappointment

Location wonderful, unit needed a good cleaning. No kleenex 2 rolls of toilet paper, one wine glass with a crack in it. The beds were terrible, in both rooms. Husband and I had back pain from the too soft beds. The shower in the second bathroom didn't drain over night. We had to use the toilet plunger to get it to drain. Some kind of exhaust unit in master bedroom that never went off and sounded like a plane landing. Had to keep the door closed and a fan on high to sleep. The location is wonderful but the unit is sub standard and it costs a ridiculous amount for the amenities offered, and the poor upkeep of the unit!

Nice place but dusty.

Overall it's a nice place with a great view. The condo is a bit outdated and furniture clunky but the pool was very nice. A bit dusty due to location but that's to be expected. It was very windy during our entire stay, and it took it a long time for the condo to cool down in the evenings.

It was a great location to relax, enjoy the beach and everything it’s close short driving distance.

The condominium was great size, very clean and had a great view of the ocean. We walked every morning and neighbors are very friendly. The owner was very helpful and easy to reach out. All the information of the location was provided. My family and I will definitely come back it was a great choice of condominium.

An idealic location for whale watching+!

The view from the balcony is breath-taking! You get sunrises, sunsets, sea turtles, breaching whales, and basically all that Maui has to offer and more. The more, are caring hosts who will respond to your questions in an urgent and pressing manner to alleviate your concerns. When our flights were changed, and we needed to add an extra night- no problem. When we were delayed getting out- late check out was provided. This will be our Go-To place when we return to Magical Maui. Mahalo & Aloha 🙏🏻

great place to stay

The property is great for 3 to 4 people, it 's close to the places we planned to see. I suggest to have a thorough cleaning, the bedsheets, pillow cases and the closets should be cleaned and neat, don't put cleaning materials and trash bin in the closet. Towels should smell fresh and clean too. Over all, the place is okay to stay in.

Great views - central location on island

Location was great, easy to get around on the island and right by the freeway. Close to a nice beach and beautiful views form the apartment. One of the showers broke and didn’t get fixed in time but when you’re in Hawai’i and you have another shower that doesn’t really matter too much. Great stay - great price.

Underwhelming

I won't spend a lot of time restating the many reviews that talked about how dated and in disrepair the condo is -- suffice it to say that the quality of this unit had a substantial negative impact on our visit. This is a small condo and did not handle the five adults on our trip very well. We spent the first several hours after our arrival, replacing seven out of the eleven light bulbs that were out, moving stuff like linens and supplies out of drawers and closets to make room for our stuff, dealing with the internet and TV's not working, cleaning things that were filthy, etc. I don't have time to list all of the issues that were disappointing to us but suffice it to say that we would never come back to this unit ever again or recommend it to anyone. Also, the unit is WAY overpriced for what you get. Yes, the location & grounds are nice -- makes you wonder what all the other units in the complex are like -- there must be better choices.

Mr. Todd we are not happy to know that you did not have a satisfactory stay, but your statements seem suspect. Before you arrived to stay at the unit, previous customers were satisfied with the unit regarding several of the aspects that you mentioned. We appreciate everyone's feedback and respond accordingly, but you can see that we have generally favorable reviews with 4 and 5 stars prior to your visit. We do not misadvertise the size of our condo in any capacity. We have a two bedroom condo and advertise it as such. Nearly every single condo in Maui is a two bedroom unit, meaning they are roughly the same size or less than ours. Bringing five people into our 2 bedroom condo is not recommended and looking for a rental with 3 or more bedrooms is advised in your situation.. This unit has sufficient shelving to store all of the customers' belongings. Also, according to our maids, they have denied having these light bulbs being out. With that being said, it's hard to believe that it would take several hours to replace seven light bulbs. It's worth mentioning that spare light bulbs are located within the unit in case of a light bulb going out at anytime. Your statement about the TV is dubious. We have a system that requires two TV remotes. If a customer has issues using two remotes to control the TV and cable box functions, we cannot assist them. Also, there are instructions in the unit in case you need to contact Spectrum (the main cable company in Maui,) in case anyone needs help using the TV or remote controls. Just like every previous year, we have also visited our condo to do any minor upgrades this year in February. We also have maids cleaning the room in between customers' stays and they are a professional cleaning company that also cleans the majority of units in Maalaea Village.

Breathtaking views!!

Wonderful well equipped condo on a peaceful quiet bay. You are about 10-15 minutes to Kihei and about 20-25 minutes to Lahaina!! Great location with sea turtles down on the wall below your room!

Comfortable unit, preferred location

Property is as others have commented, definitely aged. Because of that, the unit can appear not very clean. There were troublesome ants, that hopefully will get some professional bug spray as other complexes regularly do. The wifi was not reliable on some days, unplug and reboot which then would last for 5-10 min. The door knob hardware could use some attention. The written instructions were different xxx7 vs xxx9, which after traveling all day to arrive tested my patience before realizing the discrepancy. The weather was hotter than normal for this time of year & not sure if AC worked, but a locked screened door would be very beneficial to take advantage of the constant wind in an environmental manner. I definitely am troubled by the VRBO policy change where renter pays 100% upfront, as if there are issues the renter is quite vulnerable.

The location was great. The view wonderful. The place really needs some TLC(updating). The closets and drawers were full of stuff. So there was not space to put suitcases and clothes. I think a little time spend cleaning this place, it would be excellence. Over all we had a great time. thank you.

2 50+ couples out having fun

This property is underrated in my opinion. The pictures do not do justice for the views nor the quality of the groundskeeping that you see outside the balcony. The area is quiet yet a quarter mile walk puts you in an area with some very nice restaurants, a very small grocery store and a gas station. The location is excellent for being able to access the various tourist areas on the island.

Amazing location, condo itself needs some TLC

My mom and I stayed here July 31 through August 14. The location is amazing with beautiful water and a ton of sea turtles just outside our back patio. The pool and grounds are beautifully kept and everyone is very nice. The condo itself was 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and was perfectly adequate with everything we needed. But...it was quite outdated and very cluttered with way too many fake plants and other various unnecessary furniture and junk. It needed a good cleaning too. We felt like we had to clean when we got there. It's kind of gross to not clean sinks and bathrooms for new guests. The couch was UNcomfortable, but the beds were ok. It worked for our needs and we had great time regardless. Overall a great stay, we would stay at the Maalaea Kai again but would seek a cleaner, more comfortable unit.

Nice view but unit run down

Nice location with a great view but the unit is run down. Front door takes a lot of key jiggling to get open, sliding glass door needs the wheels at the bottom changed as it is almost impossible to open. The A/C is extremely loud and the exhaust makes the Lanai uncomfortably hot. A sign requests a tip for house cleaning but the lanai was covered in dirt and there was some left over food wrappers under one of the beds. And to top it off, either something fell on our rental car or someone punched the hood causing $$$ in damage that we had to pay. Very disappointed with our stay here.

Woke up to a beautiful sunrise over the ocean! The unit could use some deep cleaning and updating. There was a small ant problem. The master bathroom tub didn't drain well on matter what we did. The bed was comfortable and the t.v in the master was nice. There are a lot of restaurants, stores within walking distance. The ma'alaea harbor is right next door so its convenient if you schedule any activities. The items supplied in the unit are good, body board, snorkels, beach chairs, beach towels, all the kitchen things you need. The wifi worked well. Their are 2 elevators in the complex. There is a table and 4 chairs on the patio which is perfect for sharing this rental or bringing your kids. There is a lot of sandy beach to walk along and sit on close to the property. We didn't use the pool but it was kept up well. Their are a few bbqs outside near the pool.
