We had a great stay, very relaxing location at the end of the condo row! Sugar Beach is amazing, clean and never full of people. There are fantastic canoe rentals next door that provide you with a great history of the island. Downtown restaurants are a 10min drive which isn’t too bad. The condo is not the newest and could stand for some internal upgrades but it worked for us and appeared clean. I would stay here again w/o question.

Great location on the beach

The property was as advertised and had everything for a relaxing stay. It is clan comfortable and right on an amazing beach. So nice to walk downstairs and right out on the beach!!

Maui Getaway

Miles of Maui beach just steps away from the condo! Daily jogs on the beach alongside honus! Lots of water activities - snorkeling, rowing, foil surfing. Condo was perfect for my husband and I - bed is very comfortable, hosts provided everything we needed for beach life :) kitchen had everything we needed (we cooked 90% of our stay).

Private Beach

Steps to the beach and not crowded. You do not have to fight for chairs amongst a bunch of people. The condo was big enough for my family of 4 albeit a little tight for 4. Great time, and Maui is beutiful.

Great property, ocean view. Quite part of Maui. Beautiful sandy beach. The apartment had everything available, we did not have to buy anything additional. Comfortable stay with 2 kids and 2 adults. The only item that I would recommend is to update the carpet in the bedroom.

Breakfast overlooking Sugar Beach

This was the second year we stayed in this condo unit. Again we were absolutely thrilled with the location, the property and the condo. It suited our needs perfectly. The owners are very helpful and responsive, and the management does an outstanding job of maintaining the grounds and the building. What we like the most is the location on one of the most beautiful, uncrowded stretches of sandy beach in Maui. Everything on the island is within an easy drive and some within an easy walk, like Kealia Ponds which abounds with wildlife, or the local farmers market. It feels like our home away from home now, so we will be back.

Ok, but a TV in the bedroom that worked on regular cable would be nice.

Overall the space was fine, however the bedroom tv only works for streaming from google and the bathroom is so small that you literally have to stand in the shower to close the door. Also, don't leave the windows open at all if there is any wind whatsoever, we learned the hard way coming back from the beach on a windy day to find that a fair amount of dust and dirt blew into the unit through the bathroom window which was only open about 2 inches.

Wonderful property and location!

Our stay in this unit wasn't our first stay at Kealia, so we definitely came into it with an idea of what to expect of the property and the area. As always, the property always outdoes our memory of it. The beach is steps away from the building. There's a pair of huge lawns to hang-out and for kids to play in (one of which has plenty of shade even for the midday or afternoon sun. The unit as a whole was clean and stocked well enough. It's got plenty of dishes, utensils, and the owner even provides a bit of a starter kit for anyone staying there (paper towels, toilet paper, laundry supplies, dish soap, etc). The view from the balcony is great! Breakfast out there in the morning with the sound of waves crashing against the beach is just the best feeling. You can even watch the sun set from the balcony (at least during our stay)! There really isn't much to complain about from our trip other than (as always) it was entirely too short. We'd definitely stay in this unit again in the future if presented the opportunity. Thank you Gage and Andrew!

Perfect home away from home!

Absolutely perfect spot! Condo was exactly as described. Location was perfect - the beach was literally like 20 steps away. It was never crowded or busy, the kids and I had the beach to ourselves most of the time. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. I spent every morning drinking coffee and watching the canoe club go out and come back from the lanai. I've stayed in lots of spots in Kihei, but this one is by far my favorite - it was close enough to all the action (stores, restaurants, etc) but not right in the middle of it. The property had everything we needed to enjoy some meals at home and play at the beach. There were boogie boards, pool noodles, beach chairs, ample towels, and a beach umbrella - everything you need for fun at the beach or pool. There was plenty of space for myself and two teenagers. The instructions to park and access the property were clear and easy to follow. It was nice having a reserved parking spot so close to the elevator. Thank you Gage and Andrew for sharing your home with us! We had a fabulous time and truly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely book here again when we return!

This condo was great. The property was clean, convenient and everyone was super nice. The room was clean and had everything that you needed including beach gear. The ocean view was beautiful on lanai. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Great view! Great place; I enjoyed my stay and was very comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well each night and woke up rested each morning which is most important to me. I was serenaded by the birds and ocean waves and enjoyed the peace and quiet. I was only one and enjoyed the size of the place, but it could easily accommodate a small family.

Pros: good location, beautiful view from balcony, owners responded quick to all my questions, umbrellas, beach chairs, and childs safety vest included. Cons: first day we got to the condo there was a dead roach in the bedroom entrance. Then, we saw multiple roaches during our stay. We saw roach eggs in plates and small dead roaches inside the shower door rail. It was definitely a roach infestation. The place needs some serious pest control. Also, they left us with very few cleaning supplies for the 13 nights. When I say few cleaning supplies I mean, they left us 1 paper towel roll, 2 trash bags, and 2 toilet paper rolls. Overall, we had a great time but the roaches and the lack of cleaning supplies made it a little more than difficult for us.

Great weather and beautiful beaches. The Kealia Resort is located right on the beach, you can't get any closer to the water. It is beautifully situated on a six mile stretch of uncrowded, serene beach, with calm waters. The weather on this side of the island is almost always sunny, less than 12 inches of rain per year. Our family has been vacationing on this beach (Sugar Beach) since 1976. We absolutely love it.
