A very clean & beautifully decorated home. Although we did not bring our dog, it is pet friendly. Always afraid with a dog friendly place, that it will smell like pets, but not the case at all. So A on the cleaning. Its a great set up for a family. Upstairs is perfect for another couple or a bunch of kids. The home was stock with everything we needed for our stay. We had a great time

This was our second time staying at this beautiful property. The host was very prompt and helpful with everything involved with the process. The location is very quiet and private. Plenty of nature right out the back door! This place is even better than the pictures. The location is perfect for all of the brst sightseeing and outdoor activities the area has to offer. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful area! The house was clean and convenient to family we were visiting in the area. It was a very positive stay. My only comment would be that the owners stock the shower with soap. It's become a standard I believe and for the first time I didn't pack it I needed it.
The beach was beautiful and only a few minute drive away.

Beautiful home away from home!

Knotty pine ceilings. Washer and Dryer. Beautiful floors. Excellent kitchen. Very impressed with deck and deck chairs. Deer were in the backyard one day when we came back from dinner. Loved the Parkside Dairy and visited 4 times! Enjoyed the beautiful beach at Harrisville State Park, plus rock hunting there. Oscoda Beach Park in town has play area for kids.

The house was mostly clean with plenty of linens provided. We did not use the patio or firepit, but it looked clean and inviting for meals in good weather. The rules contained in the notebook on the property are stricter than stated on the house rules and policies page on this website when we booked. For example,in the rules contained at the house, no one who is not a registered guest is allowed on the property at all. On the website there was a simple prohibition against group events and parties. We had our children split between two houses to accommodate other family, so that caused some challenges for our stay. Some of the rules use subjective language that make it hard to ensure compliance. The owner also has rules about using the washer/dryer minimally that were challenging to comply with as full-occupancy, full-week summer renters, especially given the lack of capacity for hanging anything to dry. Probably fine for a couple on a weekend; not so much for a full house all week. While some types of cookware are plentiful, silverware is frustratingly scant with a full house. The grill is incredibly rusty; don’t count on using it. We had to do a last-minute menu change when we opened it up to get ready to make dinner one night. Again, while this was a decent house overall, our rating was held back by the aforementioned issues.

Hello Ryan, I’m disappointed that you felt that way. I have occupancy rules that are clearly stated on my page and my house rules located in the home. I allow a total of 7 guests, I already bent the rules allowing 8 people in my home. You were asking to allow 11 people in the home and I know it does not accommodate that size comfortably. As far as laundry goes, I have a full size washer and dryer that is only a year old that works wonderfully. The issue is that your group was too large and you needed a bigger home, not a great reason to give me such a poor review.
