We had a wonderful stay! Spacious enough for us (4) for sure with extra room! Walk to the beach was a little longer than I would have liked but over all the unit itself was good. I also had some questions before we arrived and when I called the help number they were prompt in getting back to me and super helpful. We definitely enjoyed it and would consider staying here again if we’re in the area.

Condo was clean view of pool, lazy river and bay. I would say it just needs to be completely repainted instead of non matching color of spot touchups and maybe provide a beach wagon to help. Otherwise great place and area.

Perfect Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time. The condo was exactly as advertised and everything was clean and in working order. The lazy river and pools were amazing as well as the bay where we did a lot of swimming and snorkeling. We look forward to another stay.

Convenient

Everything we needed to have a great stay was right at our fingertips. Lazy river, pools, hot tub, beautiful beach, restaurants, The Publix...everything close by. There was so much we could have done, but we just enjoyed the resort and its amenities! I have stayed at many places but check in here was so easy! Lovely vacation!

I never submit reviews but this one needed one done. The room was semi clean, the entrance door was very hard to open. We had to call the rental company because the door would not open when we arrived. The room needs some repairs. Wires attached to 2 nails were hanging out of the wall in the kids bunk room. There was sand in both bunk beds between the sheets. The balcony was dirty with what looked like black mold in a few places. The washer was so loud that we could not run it while the kids slept; it sounded like rocks in the washing machine while it runs. Overall decent, but certainly not the best room i have stayed in at Destin West.

This is probably our sixth stay at Destin West. We obviously have had very good to great experiences to come back that many times. We love staying on the bay side, with access to the bay, the pool and lazy river, and there is easy access to more pools across the bridge and of course the beach. We haven't been there in two years and the entire complex is starting to show a little age, but nothing a little paint and cleaning can't spruce up. Unfortunately Pelican 302 was by far the least impressive unit we've stayed in. It was very dated in it's decor, desperately needs a paint job, and there was visible black mold thorugout the unit. The entry door doesn't close on its own, which doesn't sound like a big deal, but several times we forgot to go back and close it behind us because we're so used to doors automatically closing. This sliding glass door to the patio was very difficult to open and close. There was a layer of dust on top of the refrigerator and along the baseboards, things that should be cleaned after every visitor but obviously haven't been cleaned in a long time. The water pressure in the master bath was almost non-existent and the water that did go in took forever to drain. We took all our showers in the guest bath after the first one. The property overall was fine, but again the unit was very disappointing. The most disappointing part was most of our complaints could be easily remedied with cleaning, paint and a little maintenance.

Lazy River still tops

Good stay overall Lazy River still tops ! Property beginning to show a little age in spots. This unit had a couple age issues but ok. Bedding was fair, king mattress was very very hard and uncomfortable. Dishwasher was broken but replaced during stay. Cleaning crew used a very strong masking air freshener prior to arrival that was unpleasant.

Great get-away

Our stay was well-deserved and greatly enjoyed. Me and my friends have all had issues in the past couple of months and we so needed this getaway for peace of mind, rest and relaxation. We got to check in about an hour and a half earlier, which was great. We had only one issue however, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly..However, RealJoy was on top of the issue in getting it fixed. we had great feedback and communication with the RealJoy property management. We even extended our extended our stay by one day, we were offered as discount for the extra day, so why not stay!! All in all a great time was spent by us all…
