Gulf Side Beach Front

We stayed here during Spring Break. We will absolutely return again and again! This home is just as described… beautiful 4 bedroom with open concept living, kitchen and dining. Bedrooms are spacious and love that each has its own bathroom. Walk out deck that has unobstructed andexpansive views of the gulf. Loved being able to enjoy our own section of beach/ocean. Nice distance between neighbors, as well. We were lucky to see a couple dolphins, close to shore! Lots of seashells! The sand is beautiful, as well! There is a small grocery store on the island that has most of what you need but, if you prefer more options, there’s a Walmart within about a half hour’s drive. The property’s rental staff were very friendly and communicated well. We did not have any issues during our stay but, if we had, I feel confident that it would have been addressed asap. Dauphin Island is a gem! Don’t hesitate to book your stay in this home!

Roaches!

The number of roaches we killed this week was unbelievable! The unit was poorly cleaned when we arrived. An exterminator came and sprayed while we were there. A cleaning lady also came, but only cleaned some areas. We additionally sprayed for roaches daily, which is not how we wanted to spend our vacation! It’s a shame such a perfect property is not being properly cared for.

Hi, thank you for your review. We are so sorry you had issues with bugs during your stay. All of our units are sprayed at the start of each month and if there are compalints we always send pest control back out. I am not sure what was going on during your week. I know later in the summer, closer to September the bugs are at their worst but we do everything in our power to treat them. We also apologize for the cleaning issue during your stay.

Cleanliness is an issue...Dauphin Island was a great laid back vacation

I’ll start with the positives...The home accommodated all of our needs and listing was accurate. The common areas and King bedrooms were spacious. We loved sitting on the covered deck. The deck furniture was very comfortable. We spent hours outside on the deck. We had major issues with mosquitos outside under the house. It was not possible to get into/out of a car or grill without getting eaten alive any time of day. If there is something under the house causing the swarms, it needs to be addressed. The cleaning process of the house, especially during Covid, needs to be re-evaluated immediately. The floors were sandy when we arrived. Some sheets were rewarded to be sure they were clean. There was trash left under furniture and near trash cans from the prior tenants. The property management needs to address the cockroaches! We traveled with an infant and this was very upsetting. There were cockroaches living around the molding in the ceiling of the great room. We killed cockroaches all week on the floors, walls and shower. All in all, the trip was good. Dauphin Island is a great place to stay with family. We were pleasantly surprised by how close the house sat to the water. It was very convenient to access the beach. If the issues listed above are addressed, this could be a great rental. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Hi Michelle, our office strives to take care of everyones complaints while they are on the Island. Did you contact the office during your stay? The mosquitoes were bad the week you were here, it was an island wide issue because of all the rain that we had received the weeks prior. We could have addressed any cleaning complaints and sent out the pest control service too. We do hope that you will give Dauphin Island another chance in the future and please don't ever hesitate to call the office so issues can be handled asap!

Amazing Hone

Jade Stone is lovely! The house is spacious and has an amazingly stocked kitchen. Be sure and bring your own spices, oil, and soap, but every kind of pot, pan, bowl you could think of is there. The couches and beds are very comfortable. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. We spent a lot of time on the nice deck that overlooked the gorgeous ocean. The outdoor furniture is in great condition and plenty comfortable. We appreciated the baby gate on the deck since we travelled with a toddler. This is our second time to stay at this house and are going to book it for next year as well!

Amazing!

This was a wonderful property, and it was bigger inside than we were expecting! We had plenty of room for our entire family of 7, and the kids (ages 8-17) loved having the beach right out the back door! We had absolutely no issues with bugs or cleanliness of the property! The side stairs from the back deck was missing a bottom step (it was broken off) - that would be the only negative from our trip but it wasn't a big enough deal to call the maintenance guys for. Will definitely stay here next time we plan a trip to Dauphin Island!

Great family space

The layout of this property was really great for our family needs. The great room (kitchen, dining and large living room) is open and spacious and allowed for us to be together. The deck is marvelous and the beach space is a staircase away off the deck. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom attached. The kitchen was fun to work in and plenty big enough for several people to move about. LOTS of pans but many are long past usable. We chose what we were going to use at the beginning, cleaned them up and stuck with those. (Renters are required to clean then stow the items they used at the end of their time. I was amazed at what passes as clean). This house is in need of some attention at this 'end of season' time. The main sliding door was very difficult to close and 2/3 of them did not lock. There were some broken tiles on the floor that were a risk for the feet. I reviewed all the items with DIRE. We ended up evacuating on day 3 due to Hurricane Zeta. There was some confusion around what was recommended, and I didn't have the level of communication w/DIRE I expected around that type of incident but a local resident gave us a heads-up and I pursued the management company to finally get some info. Talked to one of the real estate agents (did not get her name) who had great information to help us make a decision. We watched the weather channel, found a new place to land, then packed up and left that day. We plan to return to Dauphin Island again....when it''s NOT 2020 nor hurricane season!

Very Nice House

We stayed in the house for a week and loved the place very much: fantastic location, wide life, ocean within literally five steps. The layout was perfect: everyone had his own bedroom and bath. The only negative point - there were too many roaches in the house; hopefully, the property manager will take care of this issue. Other than that it was perfect!

Annual Family vacation on Dauphin Island

Lovely home and deck. Wonderful beach and met all of our needs. However, based on our past years at other properties, the cleanliness of the house was poor in comparison. Items under beds proof not touched. Lights in bathroom burned out. Roaches at night which probably is difficult to control. A walkthrough of this lovely home is needed to repair and replace. Thanks for asking for our review.

Hi, thank you for the feedback! We are sorry that you had cleaning/bug issues. If you ever had a cleaning problem please let us know and we will send someone down. Regarding bugs, we have had issues with several of our homes later this summer. The units are treated at the start of every month and if there are complaints we send the pest control company back. I am not sure why there have been issues but we are doing everything that we possibly can to treat for bugs. Thank you for letting us know about the issues and we hope you enjoyed your stay!

Amazing Vacation Home

Our family spent a week at Jade Stone in Mach and loved every minute of it. The house is beautiful and the private beach area was stunning! The porch provides the most perfect place for watching the kids swim at the beach. We will book this house again.

Thanksgiving week at Jade Stone

Our family had a great time staying at Jade Stone. The house was beautifully decorated, spacious and well laid out. Affordable beach front property

Jadestone was a home away from home. It is located on the west end, gulf side and just a few feet from the beach. The view is spectacular. Shrimp boats pass by daily. Families are enjoying themselves. Kitchen components are satisfactory. There are ample places to have dinner. Two tables to seat 10 people and/or seating for four at the eating bar. Living room furniture is comfortable. The floor plan is fully functional with no wasted space. Each bedroom features a private bath.

Vacationing at Dauphin Island

Best vacation ever! We loved having our own stretch of beach. The kids always had plenty to do; baseball, kiting, crab hunting, riding the surf, feeding the sea gulls and playing in the sand. The deck on the ocean front was the meeting place, watching the waves, dolphins, and loved getting up and having coffee and breakfast. We cooked a very nice meal almost every night. We played cards at night. Very relaxing! We may have to do this again next summer :)

AMAZING

We vacationed at Jadestone August 2nd-9th, 2014. Jadestone is an amazing beach rental on the gulf! Everything was perfect, clean, fresh, and nice linens provided. This trip was our second to the island and we loved every minute of it! There is not one negative comment to make about this house. We had 10 people in our group ranging from ages 7-70 and there was plenty of space. The home is well appointed with a great open flow. We are planning our 2016 trip and Jadestone is already rented, but would have stayed a second time in a wink. We did luck out and reserve the house next door, Crimson Tide, which was being built when we were there in 2014. Rent this house and you will have a spectacular gulf vacation!
