Florenz - historische Wohnung

Die Lage, GrĂ¶ĂŸe + Ausstattung der Wohnung war super, das Ambiente sehr schön. Allerdings gab es mehrfach Probleme mit dem warmen Wasser, was der Vermieter aber sehr schnell immer wieder in Ordnung brachte.

Diego was great to communicate with. The location of his place is phenomenal as we could walk to many nearby locations such as the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. We could go out in the morning and easily come back for a rest and recharge before going out again in the afternoon. The apartment also has sooo much character with the arched ceilings. Although we didn’t use the courtyard, it was super to leave our laundry to dry.

The perfect location to introduce friends to Florence in two days. This property was easy to access and close to everything we wanted to experience in Florence. The apartment was accommodating for our needs, which was to regroup between sightseeing, wash some clothes (washing machine and clothes rack in the courtyard, two comfortable bedrooms and very nice toilettes. The only thing that would have made it better is if there were an extra roll of toilet tissue. There were two when we arrived and by the time we realized we needed more we couldn’t locate any in stores nearby.

Location couldn't be better. Price was reasonable. Center of it all in Florence but in a quiet little alley. Do yourself a favor and take an early morning walk around Florence. Magical. AC was nice during a very hot visit. Beds were comfortable enough. A couple of little hiccups. Cleaning service was still there at 6pm due to prior renters leaving a huge mess and while that is not the owners fault, it still affected the beginning of our stay since we had just flown in from NY on a red eye followed by a long car drive to Florence. And we found the floors weren't as clean as we would have liked. The rooms are not soundproof in that you can hear noises from other parts of the apartment pretty easily. Not a huge deal for us since we were close family. It was also nice having use of a washing machine. We would stay here again as the location can't be beat, but hope that future renters would be more considerate and respectful of the owners and other renters.

Decent Apartment with a couple of Short-Comings

Overall a good apartment which would accommodate a family of 4 easily. The pictures are what you see, is what the apartment is like. Check-in process was all automated.I believe there are two problems which must be noted.First, the towel situation, I think there should be more than one large bath towel per person,as it is quite difficult to dry oneself after a shower with a wet towel from the night before....Secondly, there was a strange odor in the apartment and I believe the sewage smell from the street permeated into the apartment.I do not know if it is always like this or not, but the smell was quite bad.Thank you

We loved staying here! The charm of the brick ceilings, the location, the 2 bathrooms, everything was great! I wish we had stayed longer in fact! Diego was very nice and accommodating. The place was clean and had some nice touches and best of all great AC! We would absolutely stay again should our travels bring us back to Florence! Thank you so much for letting us stay.

Lo mejor es la ubicaciĂłn! El apartamento es como lo esperaba en pleno centro de Florencia. El baño de la habitaciĂłn principal es pequeño pero completo (con ducha, sanitario y lavamanos). Me parece que es un apartamento eminentemente turĂ­stico y le hace falta renovaciĂłn de muchos elementos que no sirven o que estĂĄn viejos y mal estado, por ejemplo: sĂĄbanas y toallas manchadas y hasta rotas; tazas con las orejas rotas; vajillas de diferentes colores y estilos; electrodomĂ©sticos y accesorios de cocina oxidados o que no funcionan. Vale la pena una visita de los dueños y deshacerse de lo que no sirve y reponer lo que es Ăștil para en turista

Great location but with a few imperfections.

I’ve stayed in Florence over a dozen times, and this rental is in one of the most convenient locations. Many restaurants, attractions, and stores are within a five-minute walk, yet the apartment is just far enough off the main street to be quiet at night.The building’s intriguing architecture is straight out of the thirteenth century yet the electricity and plumbing are 21st century. A big plus for this 76-year-old traveler is that the apartment is on the ground level and very secure. However, the old brick vaulting and relatively small windows make the interior rather humid. Both showers had extensive mildew as did the small covered patio area.There is no microwave oven and only two wine glasses. Also, the sofa upholstery needs a good cleaning. These things would be easy to fix and would make the apartment more pleasant.

Great apartment in Florence

We loved our time in this apartment. It was perfect for our family of 4. It was clean and exactly as pictured. The location was great. The only issue we had was the person cleaning the apartment was there until 6pm when we thought everything would be done by 4pm. The host allowed us to drop our bags a little early so we could walk around town but the cleaning took much longer than expected. Also, I would have loved extra towels for the bathroom since we were only given one each. But overall the stay was very nice and we would stay there again if we get the chance to return to Florence.

Very comfortable apartment, on the first floor (no stairs), of an old building. Wonderful location: 400 meters from the Ponte Vecchio, and 100 meters from the Piazza della Signoria. Stayed for 2 weeks.

Great location

The apartment was very nice, exactly like the pictures. We especially liked the arched brick ceilings throughout the apartment. The owner, Diego, was in contact with us quite a bit making sure things were good. The location was fantastic; a 2 minute walk to Piazza della Signoria, lots of shops, restaurants and fantastic bakeries. We would definitely stay there again if we are lucky enough to return to Florence.

Great Location, Some Updates Needed

The apartment is wonderfully located steps from Piazza Vecchio which was a plus. The host was very nice and communicative during our stay, but he does not live close to the locale. This apartment is probably great for 20-30 year olds, but for us Gen Xers, there was no privacy between the rooms/bathrooms and it was very dark. We actually moved a nightstand and lamp to the last bedroom because our friend was upset and was going to go to a hotel. Aesthetically, it is very cool, but on the top of walls it is only glass with gaps which allowed for ample sound from every room in the apartment. The apartment had threadbare sheets (ours had a couple of holes) and we had to reach out to get an extra pillows and blankets-which they provided on the last night. Would I stay there again, no, but I would stay in another place the host may have because he was truly trying and super nice.

Perfect location and size for four. Loved the historic building and that’s its on the ground floor.

The apartment was perfect for us. We wanted a comfortable place to stay for our 3 weeks in Florence. We were able to walk everywhere. The owner was easy to contact through Vrbo and was responsive to our needs. A perfect holiday in a perfect little apartment. Thank you!

We were very close to everywhere we wanted to go in the city. The apartment was clean and easy to access. We did have to purchase toilet paper and laundry detergent, but that was a minor inconvenience.
