We’re sorry to hear that the guests felt their stay did not fully meet expectations. We’d like to provide some factual clarification for future guests. Approximately three weeks prior to arrival, we informed the guests of temporary changes in beach conditions due to seasonal trade winds and shared detailed photos and videos so they could fully assess the situation. At that time, we also confirmed that alternative properties were available and offered the option to cancel the reservation without penalty. We outlined three available options for water access: 1. Direct access from Villa Esencia via the stairs to the shoreline, where a sand and pebble mix was present, 2. Access to a neighboring beachfront property approximately 100 feet west, offering a fully sandy beach, and 3. Access to a sandy cove approximately 500 feet east. These distances can be easily verified using public maps. After reviewing the photos and videos provided, the guests chose to proceed with the stay. During the visit, the property manager stopped by briefly on a limited number of occasions to ensure the pool and grounds were in good condition. These visits were not intended to intrude, and no accusations were made toward guests. Any questions or concerns were addressed promptly and professionally. After departure, concerns were raised primarily regarding beach conditions that had been disclosed in advance. As a goodwill gesture, we offered a partial refund equivalent to one night of the stay, which was declined. We are committed to transparency, respectful communication, and providing a high-quality experience. Villa Esencia remains a premium property priced consistently with its amenities, location, and level of service, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify these points for future guests.
