Come and RELAX on 5 peaceful acres right on the intercoastal waterway. This 3BR 2 bath home sleeps 6 and has everything you need for your perfect vacation! Bring your boat, there is a public boat ramp across the water, and we own both the private docks out back in the sheltered cove and the newer, larger dock right on the intercoastal waterway. Bring your fishing equipment because the docks are a great place to fish or just relax and watch for dolphins and manatees. You can relax on the hammock under a shade tree while reading your favorite book. There are 2 kayaks, paddles, life jackets and emergency whistles, available for use at your own risk. We also have a bonfire area to roast marshmallows and enjoy time together. The peaceful screened in porch is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or all of your meals. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare your own meals or go out and try some of the wonderful local restaurants. The house is in a quiet setting, surrounded on 2 sides by water! The beautiful white sand beach is only 5 minutes down the road for the perfect beach vacation.

We had a wonderful week at Manatee Cove! The home had absolutely everything we needed and was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were comfy and the house was spotless! We had our breakfasts in the Florida room, and enjoyed all of the birdsong and peacefulness. Our favorite part was the dock on the intercoastal, we would relax for hours watching the bald eagles, otters, pelicans and dolphins! And Mexico Beach is 5 minutes down the road, where we spent our afternoons. Just a wonderful trip and we are planning on returning next year! Thanks Tina for your hospitality!!!

Very nice location and peaceful, relaxing time! Host checked in with us through messages to make sure everything was OK and helpful reminders during our stay. House was very clean and well supplied with items to get us started on our stay. Enjoyed the docks and the easy access to nearby beaches, eating, etc. Will be back :)

I cannot find anything negative to say about our stay. We take the grand boys fishing different locations every year during the week of Thanksgiving and this year did not disappoint. We had our boat, boat launch easily accessible, but also enjoyed fishing right off the dock. The house is fully stocked with pretty much anything you could need. Only complaint, our 10 days wasn’t long enough. Can’t wait to go back!! Highly recommend to anyone.

A hidden gem on 5 acres with several old growth trees , 2 docks, water on 2 sides, marshes that support wildlife, this lovingly remodeled mid century home is perfect for relaxation. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch watching the boats go by. The house is painted in fun colors & has everything you possibly need. Luxury linens & huge fat bathtowels were so comfortable. It's about a 7 minute drive to the beach where we took our dogs daily. St.Joe Beach allows dogs. Local seafood can be purchased in either Port St. Joe or our favorite, the Shell Shack in Mexico Beach. We grilled our own seafood every night & ate on the porch. This is a place that doesn't have neighbors right on top of you as they do at the beach. Quiet neighborhood with great walking opportunities. Highly recommend; will be returning. Owner is extremely good with communication.

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. It’s quiet, beautiful. We caught a lot of fish. We reached out with questions about the area and we were always answered very quickly! We would go back here whenever visiting this area! The house is very nice it was perfect for us. It’s a great place to stay.

Nice home in a quiet location!

The house was clean and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the docks and screened porch. The location was fantastic, as it gave us access to all the things we enjoy about the area. The owner was quick to respond toquestions and was very nice!

A relaxing week

This property has a lot of privacy with water views on 3 sides. The home and grounds are totally Old Florida even though the house has been completely and lovingly renovated. Lots of high quality linens and well stocked kitchen. Highly recommend!

If you want a quiet and chill place to relax....this is the place for you. We visited the beach right down the road, did a little shopping, fished off both docks on the property, had a camp fire, played games and watched boats go up and down the intercoastal waterway. The owners have almost any kitchen tool you may need in the kitchen to prepare full meals. The screened in porch table was the perfect place to hang out and play games at night. There was even a separate little fridge to keep our bait for fishing. The owner was easy to reach and friendly . They thought of all the smallest details for this property, allowing us to sit back and chill.

We stayed 3 nights. The weather was perfect with a nice breeze. Leaves are beginning to turn but plenty of sun and heat. We enjoyed the dock on the inter-coastal canal. Never a dull moment watching nature and the people at the boat ramp across the canal. We really loved time spent on the pier in the cove too and watched the manatees for several hours as they relaxed and nibbled. They were our highlight! The home was spotless and didnt lack for any supplies needed during our time. Coffee on screened porch, watching yachts cruising the canal, fishing off dock and pier, being entertained by manatee (at least 4-5), listening to birds singing, these are a few of the wonderful things! And IF you get bored (you won’t) just jump in car and you can be at Mexico Beach in 15 minutes or Port St Joe in 20.

Once again, a great time was had by all!

We have now stayed here twice and loved it each time. The host is great and very easy to communicate with. The only thing I would like to see is one of those cordless vacuums- they pick up the sand so much better than a broom. Other than that loved our time! The fishing was great from the bigger dock.

Wonderful trip!

Manatee Cove is an outstanding place, so peaceful and serene! We had everything we could've possibly needed and more for a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed fishing off the docks on the property and at the marina close-by. The beach was quiet and relaxing, then we would enjoy roasting marshmallows in the fire pit out back. Many of our meals were prepared in the well-stocked, large kitchen. And the best part...the beds were so comfy! I can't say enough positive things about this home and host! Christina was so helpful during the booking process and throughout the week. Can not wait to come stay again!

My kids are already trying to get me to book again!

First of all, the host is amazing! She was so prompt in answering all of my question. The location was incredible. We were able to kayak and fish off the docks on the waterway right behind the house. We were a short drive to the beach, which was beautiful and pretty empty considering so many schools are on spring break. The house was comfortable and cozy. We were able to cuddle up as a family on a rainy morning and watch a movie. Everything we needed was there. I’m not going to lie, it’s also me that is itching to go back!

Almost amazing

Our family came to stay and enjoyed ourselves. The kayaks, fishing, and location all seemed amazing. Then we spied a huge binder of additional rules not mentioned in the listing. Also there were cabinets locked and marked for owner usage only. There were also storage closets that were locked as well, plus family portraits displayed in the hallway. It was strange to say the least. There were also check out instructions and other notes throughout the home, which seemed a bit odd. We still made sure to try to enjoy our stay, and make the most of it. There was a very limited amount of towels and washcloths, so we constantly had to wash them. We had to do dishes daily as well, as we found ourselves cooking more than dining out. We made sure to clean up after ourselves, swept daily and even mopped twice while there for a week. We cleaned up everything we could with the limited supplies in house. We stripped beds, and left any dirty towels in the bathrooms as marked on the fridge note. We cleaned tables, wiped surfaces, took out trash (even brought out to road once), and placed things back where they were before check out. Mind you we were shocked when after check out we received an additional cleaning request, claiming excessive mess was found. I don’t know what else to say, we cleaned to our best ability, but also had already paid $250 for cleaning services. This is a vacation rental, and I guess the host expects you not to use it. Nice place, just not vacation friendly.

Thank you very much for choosing to stay at Manatee Cove. The binder you spoke of had additional information about the area and things to do. The portraits in the hallway are of people enjoying themselves while staying there. You were sent a notice for an additional cleaning fee for excessive mess. One bed was soaked with urine. Another bed had blood on the pillow, comforter and sheets. The room with 2 beds had something sticky spilled all over the floor. There was urine on the living room floor. There was a ton of cereal stuffed down in both couches. The refrigerator had baked beans dried on several shelves and the stove had a pile of something unidentifiable in the bottom of it. Yes there is a cleaning fee, to clean and sanitize the home after each guest. I do not get any of the cleaning fee, it all goes to the cleaning company to clean and sanitize the house after each guest. The mess left behind was beyond normal usage and I had to pay the additional amount requested to have it cleaned.
