Lake Willoughby Northeast Kingdom of VT, Beautiful year-round lakefront home

This is a beautiful lakefront home built in 2006 along the shores of famed Lake Willoughby. Robert Frost spent his summers here as a young boy, and Lake Willoughby has been featured on the pages of National Geographic and is known as one of the most iconic, picturesque lakes in the US! We rent the home year round, most notably however of course is the summer and fall seasons. We are also closely located to several known ski destinations, Jay Peak Resort and Burke Mountain which are about 45 mins and 25 mins respectively from our home. There are also a number of other winter sport activities in the region. The summers offer a wide variety of activities to include boating, hiking, swimming, numerous mountain biking trails now associated with the Kingdom Trail Association, or just cruising the northeast kingdom in search of Vermont's famed country stores or breweries... We trust you will not find a more beautiful spot to take in morning sunrises, evening sunsets and sitting by the lake in your adirondack chairs while sipping your favorite beverage!

Great lakeside house

Beautiful house on lake Willoughby. Nice location with a small sandy beach which is rare on this lake. Perfect for large families with kids.

Pilot's Point was a very soft landing

Our large family of 8 was in town for a somewhat stressful visit rather than just a time to relax. That being said, this location offered us exactly what we needed space wise and the location was absolutely lovely. The views of the lake and all the supplies for lake use make this an optimal location for those visiting for vacation as well. I also have to applaud the owner for his completely transparent communication. The home comes with only one of the beds and bathrooms stocked with linens. This was not something I noticed in the description but he graciously informed me. Because of this we were not caught off guard at arrival and we were able to arrange for a separate linen rental. Having flown, packing linens for 8 wouldn't have been ideal. I do hope that in the future the owner considers stocking all rooms with linens as a standard, but this option certainly met our needs. The house was comfortable and well appointed. Some travel sized toiletries would have added a nice touch seen in some other rentals we've used in the past, but were not expected or listed. There is a sweet general store just up the road that has more than one could expect or need for snacks, essentials, and toiletries too. All in all, the home, location, and owner response were wonderful and this unit met our needs beautifully. We appreciate the opportunity to utilize this property.

Jami, thanks for the courteous & honest feedback! Although we've been renting seasonally for 12 years now, we appreciate your group being our first VRBO rental. We hear you on the linen situation; this is a policy that originated with our property manager years back from our home typically being a Sat-Sat rental during the peak summer months, whereas our cleaning ladies are limited on time between check-out/check-in with respect to having multiple loads of laundry to accomplish. However having said all of that, we will hope to come up with a new policy if we stick with VRBO outside of those peak summer months/weeks. We look forward to having you and/or your group for a future visit. Thanks again!
