2-Zimmer-Ferienhaus (eines mit Doppelbett, eines mit zwei Einzelbetten), voll ausgestattete Küche, Reisebett und Babystuhl zur Verfügung, Bad mit Dusche, unter Traufe Sitzgelegenheiten im Schatten und Picknick-Tisch in der Sonne, direkter Zugang zu den Freunden von Acadia Trail, freundlicher Hund dürfen. Von zentraler Bedeutung für alle Aspekte des Mt. Desert Island und Acadia National Park. Zugang zu Waschmaschine / Trockner auf dem Gelände. Sehr ruhige und private Lage. Wir genossen das Leben in diesem Haus für 3 Jahre, bis wir ein Haus gebaut auf dem Grundstück, 100 Meter entfernt und von der Hütte ruhig. Bar Harbor hat alles: Aktivitäten für Kinder und Erwachsene wie Bergsteigen, Bootsfahrten, Radfahren und Wandern entlang der Küste. Ein Ozeanarium, Minigolf, und ein kleiner Wasserpark sind weniger als 20 Minuten Autofahrt entfernt.

Der National Park Service organisiert Natur-Programme im Nationalpark für Kinder und Erwachsene. Entdecken Sie maritime Einstellung Bar Harbor ist, suchen Sie nach Muscheln, Meer Glas, und Seesterne auf MDI Meeresstränden. Schwimmen Sie im kristallklaren Wasser des Echo Lake! MDI Central Location

Stayed here last year so this year was a repeat because we loved it so much. Great location in middle of MDI providing easy access to Acadia NP, Trails, carriage roads & Bar Harbor. The owners who live nearby were very helpful with whatever we needed. The place is in the forest at the end of a long driveway. It is well appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing & comfortable stay.

Best cottage ever

Beautiful and well kept 2 bedroom cottage in a private garden. Fully equipped kitchen. Separate laundry room. Tables and chairs outside. It feels more like your own house than a rental:) Gracious hosts live nearby so the communication is very easy and fast. Only minutes to Eagle lake and carriage roads. Super easy access to Bar Harbor, Loop Road, hiking trails. You will need a car to get there.

Our stay for 8 days could not have been better. The cottage is centrally located in the middle of MDI which provided easy access to the Park & Bar Harbor. Acadia Access Cottage exceeded our expectations! It was the perfect home away from home during our stay on MDI. We appreciated the spacious living area with wonderful wooded view, the well equipped kitchen & the comfortable beds. The generous collection of reading material was perfect for rainy days. We loved it

My wife and I stayed at this cottage as newly-weds. We felt so well taken care of by Philip and Astri. It is a beautiful property only a few hundred yards from Acadia National Park. Amazing!

My husband and I rented the Acadia Access Cottage for our honeymoon. The cottage was very clean and had pretty much anything you would need. It’s location is perfect! It is very secluded but within a 10 minute drive to down town Bar Harbor. It is also right down the road from an Acadia Park loop entrance. The hosts, Philip and Astri, live next to the cottage and let us know that if we needed anything that they are available. We had no problems during our stay. We highly recommend this cottage for couples or small families. It is the perfect Bar Harbor/Acadia getaway. We hope to return to it soon.

Wonderful all around

The owners were helpful and friendly, their home was just the right size and had every amenity we needed. The highlights were the wonderful washer and dryer and shelves full of books! There were movies for the day it rained, an amazing vegetable garden of Astri's, which we visited and a foosball and a ping pong table on the lower level. The trail behind their house connects toman Acadia NP trail and was civered in bkyeberries, moss, ferns and magnificent trees of all kinds. It was a great plave to call home for a week and very conveniently located.

Phillip and Astri’s space was absolutely perfect for our stay. It is centrally located and close to just about everything, clean and spacious with a large kitchen, and has big beautiful windows and a nice yard space perfect for grilling, roasting marshmallows, and gazing up at the stars when you’re not on the trail! In addition, check in was easy and Phillip was quick to respond to our questions and provide assistance/suggestions. Hope to stay here again in the future!

Wonderful location and hosts

We really loved our stay! Philip and Astri were nothing but thoughtful and accommodating. Their cottage is very clean and set up well for renters (lots of space to store items in the bathroom and bedrooms, well stocked kitchen for cooking, brand new washer / dryer). The location is fantastic -- close to Bar Harbor and sites in Acadia, but away from the bustle of Bar Harbor. I'd just note that you need to watch your head if you are taller -- my husband kept hitting his head because they have a pitched roof and we are used to very high ceilings in a DC row house!

Peace at the heart of everything Acadia

This A-frame in the woods is classy all around. The place has a feel of a home, not just a rental. Philip and Astri were available but not intrusive. The location permitted easy access to anything we wanted to do on the island. In time of COVID everything was clean and beds slept comfortably. Definitely recommended.

Perfect accomodation, location and host.

We stayed at Philip and Astri's cottage in early July 2020 after Maine had imposed coronavirus rules and guidelines for out-of-town visitors. The hosts were extremely communicative, hospitable and easy to work with. We felt both comfortable and safe at the cottage. One of our favorite parts about the property was its location. Only a 5 min drive to Acadia National Park and 10 min drive to downtown Bar Harbor. It was convenient but also very quiet when we needed some down time. We would love to return for another visit some day!

After having lived for 28 years in Maine we realized that Mount Desert Island was the place we loved most to be. Prior to moving to China for 3 years we purchased this property of 38 acres in the heart of Mt.Desert Island with the intent to return to live in this beautiful location. We built an apartment above an existing garage (Acadia Access Cottage). When we returned 3 years ago we moved into the cottage and enjoyed living in it for 3 years. In the Fall of 2013, we completed a new home on the property, 100 yards away and quite secluded from the garage/cottage.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We love the access to carriage roads, Echo Lake, Somes Sound, mountain hiking, Bar Harbor, and walking on our own property with a brook, small waterfall and direct access to Acadia Ridge Trail. We have close access to all that the island has to offer and enjoy the tranquility that surrounds us every day.

Centrally located. Covered outdoor ping pong table for adults and supervised young adults with possibility of challenging owner.

We do accept well behaved dogs but do ask that they either stay in a crate when owners are not with them in the cottage or you let us know that they are safe without a crate and will not cause any damage. We do ask for a $50 per pet charge to be paid upon arrival for the additional cleaning that is needed.
