Cozy Pond Side Cottage in Bar Harbor! [The `Nook`]

The Nook was converted in the 80s partially using a shed first built on the property in the 1920s. While inside the unit you can see the roof of the original Nook where the bedroom now resides. The kitchen area is small but has everything you need to cook!

**The mattress was changed to a new one in 2023 based on reviews from previous years saying it was uncomfortable**

The Laundry Room in the garage is shared with the unit next door, as is the backyard and fire pit space.

With our guest`s privacy being of the utmost importance, we have established a contactless self check-in process. Once booked, we will send you detailed instructions on how to access the home. However, if there is anything you need or of concern during your stay with us, we can be easily contacted.

Settled just 3 miles from the northeast entrance to Acadia, and roughly 10 minutes from downtown Bah Habah (make sure you leave your Rs at home when you get here), our cottages provide you with the convenience to tackle everything you need to while you`re here (well not literally – there’s actually a no tackling policy. Thanks, Joe…).

-Being near a Pond there are may bugs and moths especially at night time. Guests need to be cautious of coming and going from the sliding door at night time as bugs are attracted to the light

-There are 4 steps to get to the front door

-Grills are available for use late April until the end of November

-Firewood is NOT provided. Many of our neighbors sell firewood at the end of their driveways for $4-$8 per bundle paired with a small cash box

-This listing does allow pets but you must check off that a pet is coming in the AirBNB App and pay our standard pet fee. If we find out after the fact that you brought a pet without notifying us you will be charged a much higher fee at a cost of $250.
-Please note that you must be out of the Unit by 10:15AM the LATEST. You will receive a $150 fee if you are out of the unit later than 10:15AM and will be charged an additional $50 for every 15minute interval that you are late after that. We have had problems with guests leaving late in the past and need to make sure that our cleaning team has enough time to properly clean the unit before the next guests arrive.
-No parties or events are allowed in the unit. You will immediately be kicked out of the unit if you hold an event at the unit and will be charged a $1,000 fee
