Ein romantisches 1 BR 20-Morgen Country Retreat - in der Nähe von Asheville

Unsere Hütte liegt in der Nähe von Asheville, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure und Historic Hendersonville inmitten der vielen Wandergebiete der Hickory Nut Gorge. Das Hotel liegt am Fuße des Bearwallow Mountain und ist teilweise bewaldet mit einem Wanderweg, einem Teich und einem Picknickschuppen neben dem Teich mit einer Feuerstelle. Sie können sowohl in unserem Teich als auch in den Forellengewässern von Clear Creek, die an unser Grundstück angrenzen, angeln.

Die Hütte im Wald ist eine unserer abgeschiedeneren Hütten, die sich auf dem bewaldeten Teil unseres 20 Hektar großen Grundstücks befindet. Sie werden auf allen Seiten Bäume sehen. Sie können einen kleinen Teil einer anderen Kabine sehen, aber es sind keine anderen Gebäude in Sicht. Abhängig von den jüngsten Niederschlägen können Sie den kleinen Bach unter der Hütte hören, der in unseren Teich fließt.

Die überdachte Veranda verfügt über Schaukelstühle, einen Whirlpool und einen Esstisch im Freien. Die Kabine verfügt über einen Kamin, Klimaanlage, Sat-TV (Basispaket) und DVD-Player, WLAN, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Mixer und Kaffeemaschine. Bettwäsche, Geschirr und Küchenutensilien sind vorhanden. Die Hütte hat einen Gasgrill.

Während sich viele Gäste einfach während ihres gesamten Aufenthalts auf dem Grundstück entspannen, gibt es in der Umgebung viel zu tun - Wandern im Chimney Rock Park, eine Bootstour über den Lake Lure, ein Besuch des historischen Hendersonville und ein kurzes Abendessen in den vielen großartigen Restaurants der Umgebung Fahren Sie weg und besuchen Sie die vielen umliegenden staatlichen und nationalen Parks und Wälder (Dupont, Pisgah, der Blue Ridge Parkway) und natürlich das berühmte Biltmore Estate. In der Umgebung können Sie reiten, Ausflüge in Apfelanbaugebiete mit vielen Obstständen und in die nahe gelegenen Weinberge unternehmen.

Das Anwesen ist zu jeder Jahreszeit wunderschön: Frühlingsblühende Bäume, Sommerlaub, Herbstfarben und im Winter möglicherweise Schnee. Der Winter, in dem die Blätter von den Bäumen fallen, kann besonders interessant sein, da durch die kahlen Bäume zusätzliche Aussichten entstehen.

Hi Michael, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. The road was a little messy then, it was just after two days of torrential downpours. We got a significant portion of our annual rainfall earlier that week. As soon as it dried out a bit David got out on the tractor and restored the road. I'm glad you were able to cope! But, as ever, we were nearby to help if needed. I hope you are able to visit again soon.

I’m glad you enjoyed our Cabin in the Woods. We love the quiet there. There are still a couple of unpaved roads over mountains if you come in to us the back way via Highway 74A. Although the views are amazing we do provide a caution and an alternate route in your check-in time confirmation e-mail sent the day before arrival. The more commonly used routes are all paved.

Great place to stay out of the hustle and bustle of chaos. We stayed here 14years ago and loved it time just got away from us to return until now. I don’t know why we didn’t come back sooner! Great log cabin with all the necessities and all quietness you need! Close enough to city but far away enough where you feel far! Recommend highly! The owner is wonderful to speak with as well!

Real cabin Great location

Exactly as advertised beautiful cabin in the Woods. If you're looking for a nice quiet relaxing vacation with a nice hot tub this is the place. Only recommendation I would say is to bring some DVD's or be prepared to rent from the redbox, they don't have very much cable selection up there and the Internet is is not the best. Loved every minute of It and plan to come back on another vacation

Secluded Serenity

This was such a peaceful place to get away and sit on the porch in the swings for hours. Perfect relaxation! I would recommend this to anyone that needs to get away for their busy, hectic lifestyle. I wish we could do this every weekend!

Only disappointment was not having own private firepit vs walk il ng down to neighbors. Outside grill needs to be leveled and updated but we were still able to use. Location very close to a lot of WNC attractions. Love Hendersonville.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. We’ve leveled and repaired the grill – looked like Hurricane Michael did a little damage there – but fortunately that was all! We have two fire pits on our 20-acre property – one near the pond and one near the creek. We don’t have them at each cabin because for the cabins that are on the wooded portion of the property it would be a major fire hazard. I’m sure you understand that the safety of our guests is a critical factor in deciding where to put fire pits on the property. Putting fire pits in a wooded area is just not safe.

Great Place to Stay!

We loved our weekend in the Cabin in the Woods! It was perfect- clean, cute, and fully stocked with anything you might need! We spent time shopping and dining in downtown Hendersonville and visited nearby Justus Orchards and Pearson’s Falls! The hot tub was wonderful for relaxing after being out for the day. We had no issues getting to our cabin on a small gravel inclined road in our car this time of year; however, as others have said, a truck or SUV would be optimal during seasons that road conditions would be worse. Would definitely stay here again!

Cabin in the Woods

Very secluded, private and peaceful. Easy to find. Our host was very attentive. There is a washer/dryer, terrific hot tub, and fishing pond a short 2 minute drive from the cabin, but no dishwasher. Easy drive to Chimney Rock and 15 minute drive into town. Will definitely be back.

Nice Lil’ Secluded and Peaceful Cabin in the Woods!

This nice lil’ cabin in the woods made for a very quiet and relaxing long weekend getaway for my husband and I! It was very peaceful, clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was very relaxing. Kaye was very accommodating. She was very helpful and pleasant. We had the pleasure of meeting her and her husband, David, during our stay. Just an fyi… you will definitely want to take a four wheel drive vehicle to this cabin though because the road leading to it is a little rough and is on the steep side in one area. However, we were in my husband’s truck so that wasn’t a problem for us at all.

Great Escape from Everyday Life

This little cabin,the whole property in general,is wonderful. The cabin is exceptionally clean,very private, and fully stocked with most of those little things you wish you had sometimes like coffee and filters, cooking oil,bug spray, and even bath robes and slippers. Cell phone service is limited so it provides a great opportunity to check out of reality for a day or two. The pond is excellent for relaxing in nature and the hammock is an added bonus. Its about a 10-15 drive to town,but nothing too inconvenient at all. This was our second time going to the property and I already can't wait to go back again.

Hi Tara, I'm glad you enjoyed the Cabin and property. Cell phone service is usually OK here in the mountains, but varies by carrier. Turning on wifi calling can improve reception significantly, as can just getting out from under the metal roof. We also keep a spare phone to lend guests in case it's needed (although it's never been requested) and you are always welcome to give family my cell phone number in case you are needed in an emergency. We look forward to your next visit!

Wonderful, quiet getaway

Our home is always very noisy and we wanted a quiet weekend away. This was exactly that! It was clean and well-appointed. A beautiful property surrounded by woods. We heard an occasional plane overhead or car on the distant road but, we primarily listened to the wind in the trees and the birdsong. The cabin was clean. The grill and kitchen appropriately appointed. AC and Hot tub easy to use. We hiked a bit on the property and visited the beautiful pond. Exactly as described. Easy communication with the host. Highly recommend this location if you want a quiet time away. Very close to Hendersonville and Asheville (closer than it seemed on the map) if you want to go into town.

The pictures did not match up to the real deal. I left several text for property manager and never got a return call. The fishing pond was not impressive/and no fish. I never saw the stream for trout fishing. The frying pans need replaced, the ceiling above the hot tub was moldy and the hot tub needs some TLC. Our overall impression of this was keep looking past this one when your looking for a cabin, we visit N.C. a couple of times a year and there is a whole lot better choices for you.

I am sorry you had trouble communicating with me during your stay. I have checked my phone records and see that although I texted you 5 times during your stay, I did not receive any texts from you. I also called you twice but the calls did not go through. I did exchange a couple of texts with your wife on her phone, however nothing about replacing a pan. We are on the property and have replacements easily available should you need them. As I noted to your wife the snowstorm may have been interfering with your cell phone signal. I see also that I tried to call you on my spare emergency phone (which is a different carrier) and was unable to get through. Sadly we were completely unaware that you needed anything and were otherwise unsuccessful reaching you by phone or text. However, in that same time period, I was communicating with other guests on the property without issues. I do know that there are some less well known cell phone providers that work only in large cities and don’t work well if at all in rural areas. You may wish to take that into consideration next time you visit a rural area. Fishing in the pond in winter can be challenging, since the fish are not very active and tend to hide out at the bottom in cold weather. The location of the creek is on the property map you were sent and a copy of which is in the guest guidebook in the cabin. We had scheduled the porch ceiling for power washing after an exceedingly wet year, however, that was delayed due to the provider’s COVID issues. Again, I am sorry that your inability to communicate by phone affected your enjoyment of our property.

The cabin is hosted by Kaye, the owner, who has lived in the area for more than twenty years. We provide the guest with information about local restaurants, hiking areas, local wineries, your cabin's amenities, and more (nearest grocery, scenic drives, etc). David is our expert on local farm products, curly willow wreaths, and fishing (and he grills up a great BBQ!). He has lived here for his entire life!

Our 20-acre partially wooded rural property is in an agricultural area amongst primarily apple orchards, a few peach orchards, and, increasingly, vineyards. We are centrally located East of historic Hendersonville, SouthEast of Asheville, and West of the Bat Cave/Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area (currently undergoing restoration). We are at the foot of Bearwallow Mountain which has hiking paths at the top. The property is partially wooded with a private hiking trail through the woods, a pond, and a picnic shed next to the pond with a fire pit. In back of the wooded portion of our property is a wooded area that extends for miles, adding to the serenity of our property. Fishing is available both in our pond and at Clear Creek – state trout waters that adjoin our property. We are surrounded by various types of recreational activities in our county and adjacent counties.

What do guests love about the Cabin in the Woods? The peace and quiet, the rural nature of the property yet still having easy access to surrounding towns and attractions, the view of trees all around, the pond and nearby private hiking trail, and, of course, their own hot tub.
