There are always those few guests who NEVER seem to be happy even in paradise and look to place blame when there is none! Pompano Beach does not have red tide. On occasion, we do have seaweed, & the City removes it several times each week when it comes to shore -- however, it is only removed AFTER the sea turtle inspectors check for new sea turtle nests. I did advise guests about this upon ck-in & this is written into our Rental Agreement (which apparently she did not read before signing). Regarding the heating of the spa During the ck-in process, which is an in-person walk-through of the property, they asked for the heat to be turned off to both the pool & spa. Two two days later they requested the spa heat be turned on--& it was. However, they kept pushing multiple buttons on the pool/spa remote which caused the system to lock up. They were advised this would happen at the time of ck-in. If they pushed anything but button 1 for spa heat or button 2 for spa jets. Their complaint is really user error. I personally explained usage of the pool/spa remote & instructions are written in guestbook. Further, the guest said they would be using the spa without heat -- & her adult children said the same thing. The Sonos Sound System was working when I left the property. The guests did not want me to show them how to use it. They said they had a Sonos system & did not need instruction. Apparently the over the next 24 hours there was an upgrade in the Sonos App which required our guests to upgrade the APP on their mobile devices. The 3 mini iPads we use at the property do not fully support the new Sonos2 APP. They do, however allow you to use the FULL and complete Sonos System from your phone & select which rooms you want music to play from using your device OR the Sonos Radio portion of the App. Our Dir of Property Mgmt, Butch, went back to the property & showed several guests how to use the system w/their devices & all rooms were working fully w/their mobile devices. It seems several days later they forgot how to use the system & said the Sonos was not working. This Luxury toes in the sand Estate is our most requested property & we have families come back year after year -- renting for weeks at a time. There are just some people you cannot please regardless of the situation. We hope she finds the perfect home for their next trip.
