Located on the Gulf of Mexico, this wonderful, East End beachfront vacation home features amazing views of the natural beauty of beachfront living. This perfect retreat for families offering a private pool, hot tub, kayaks, and lovely coastal decor with lots of space for your group. My Favorite Place, formerly B & D's on the Beach has a fabulous location and offers a laid-back atmosphere directly on the beach. It is a close bike ride to the Dr. Julian G Bruce St. George Island State Park, which has been voted the number one beach in America in 2023 by Dr. Beach, Dr. Stephen Leatherman. Local bike rentals are available to enjoy the miles of bike path that can take you to the park to the East and towards shops, restaurants, and the St. George Island Lighthouse to the West.

There are plenty of opportunities for fun with a wide variety of outdoor amenities. We offer under-house concrete parking for one car with space in the driveway if you have multiple vehicles, boat or jet skis. The private swimming pool has plenty of seating for your group and overlooks the Gulf. For those traveling during chillier weather, the pool can be heated up to 82 degrees for an additional fee. The six-person hot tub sits in the shaded area under the house which also offers additional seating and a hammock with beach views. Wash the beach sand away before hitting the pool or hot tub with the enclosed hot and cold outdoor shower. A fish cleaning area is available near the beach boardwalk to clean your daily catch. The surf in front of house has been known to gift fisherman with pompano, trout, redfish and whiting. Catch is highly dependent on weather, tides and time of the year. Two, park style, charcoal grills are available on the Gulf side of the house as well. Pull up a chair and soak in the view while you wait for your dinner to be grilled to perfection. Stroll down your private boardwalk just steps to the white sandy beach. Two tandem (two-person) kayaks with paddles and life jackets are available and perfect to glide across the water on calm days. Maybe you’ll catch the dolphins passing by on the other side of the sand bar. The ground-level pool room has a foosball table, beach toys, extra refrigerator, and half bathroom.

Exterior stairs lead to the first floor. The large living/dining/kitchen area with charming coastal decor has plenty of comfortable seating and features amazing Gulf views, flatscreen TV, and direct deck access. The large, generously furnished beachfront deck offers lounge chairs, a table, and chairs for outdoor relaxation and alfresco dining. A fun after dinner activity is to watch for shooting stars in one of the darkest skies in the country.

The spacious kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare beachside feasts and offers a Keurig coffee maker (and an initial supply of coffee). A separate laundry room with a washer/dryer is adjacent to the kitchen and offers a second refrigerator for stocking up on groceries. The large dining table and bar counter stools provide lots of seating at mealtime, and views of the water from the kitchen and dining area offer an amazing backdrop for making vacation memories. The first floor also offers one of the master suites with king bed, private bath and deck access. On the second floor, the sitting area allows additional room for your crew to spread out and additional sleeping arrangements with the sofa bed. A flat screen TV, wet bar and wine cooler are also available in this area. The second master suite is on this floor as well offering a king bed and access to a small private deck facing the beach. The windows offer views of the beach, and a private bath is available with a jetted tub and walk in shower. Two additional bedrooms are located off the sitting area. A King room with deck access and access to a full bath that is shared with the sitting area and the Twin room with 2 daybeds with trundles that sleep 4 comfortably. A private bath is available in this room as well. All bedrooms have TVs. sitting area on the second floor offers a great spot to relax and offers flatscreen TV, wet bar, wine cooler, and additional space for your crew to spread out.

For indoor entertainment, there are multiple DVD players and DVD library. The Wii and classic Nintendo offer gaming options in addition to a variety of board games for family fun. No need to pack your beach towels as they are provided.

Up to 2 dogs are welcome at our home. Guests are required to clean up after their pets. Franklin County law prohibits leaving pet waste on the beach or dunes. Pets are not allowed in pools, the pool area or hot tubs. A leash law is in effect and guests are responsible for adhering to it.

My Favorite Place is a non-smoking home and smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house.
