First, Paula is an amazing host. She is incredibly helpful and thorough. Any question you may have, she is able to answer, and provides a wealth of information a first time visitor to Rome would never know to ask for. The home is clean, and secure. As a host, Paula has provided far more than I would have expected. The space was comfortable and the location was perfect for public transportation access as well as walking if you are one who prefers to travel on foot. I can’t say enough positive things about our experience and would absolutely recommend this home!

Excellent Place to Stay in Rome

This flat is as pictured. This is a private and safe place to stay while you explore Rome. Highly recommend! Walk a short distance to Circus Maximus or the Colosseum and grab the Hop on Hop off for an amazing tour of the city. Other Notes: Take the 50€ capped price taxi ride from the airport to avoid trying to navigate the ticket lines and tourists when you’re exhausted from international travel. The water and fixtures in this property gets scalding hot, so be careful! **You can’t go wrong with this place**

Great stay and lovely host!

We had a wonderful time in Rome and Paola's appartment was the perfect place to stay! It's super clean, comfortable, quiet (you don't imagine being in Rome) and very well equipped. Paolo's tipps were very helpful, the information map she put together is priceless! Only on the recommendation for the Sette Oche in Travestere we can't agree - rather poor quality and no atmosphere. But for all the other things thank you Paola and we'd love to come back next year!

Casa Della Robbia Testaccio Rome

Beautifully appointed apartment in the heart of Testaccio. The owner was amazing and no issue or question was to great. The information folders and tips available at the apartment were excellent resources. We stayed in the apartment for 1 month. It was lovely and quite and good for sleeping at night. All appliances were available that are required for a comfortable stay. It was obvious that the owner had taken care in appointing the apartment. Testaccious is a local Roman community and has 2 Piazzas to enjoy Grocery stores, 2 butchers, hairdressers, pharmacy, gelateriad, restaurants, bars (cafe)… All you need can be found in Testaccio and close to the apartment. Pyramide Metro and Porta San Paolo stations nearby. For easy access to Roman sites and also to the beautiful beaches if you get time (takes about and hour). Overall 5 star for property owner, apartmento and location

Beautiful Apartment in a Great Neighborhood!

Paola was a pleasure to coordinate with, and has a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Before we arrived she'd already sent us detailed information regarding transit options for getting to Via Luca della Robbia and around the city (including how much taxi fares should cost - very handy), and recommendations for restaurants, shops, and other services nearby. When we met her at the apartment she spent time showing us the place and even walked around the neighborhood a bit pointing things out. She was very kind and even called to check-in with us before we left in case we needed anything. The apartment is larger in person than the photos, very clean, and has everything you'll need for your stay. The shower is a good size (by European standards) - my husband is 6'4" and had no issues with the shower height. :-) We loved the Testaccio neighborhood and appreciated that it was within walking distance (or easy bus/metro ride) to all of the major sites, yet still not overrun with tourists. It was peaceful and a treat to stay in a neighborhood full of locals. There are so many great restaurants and food shops, and don't miss the Testaccio Market! We will always stay here if we are in Rome. Thanks Paola for helping to make our first time in Rome such a great experience!

Delightful apartment & neighbourhood

Paolo was very welcoming and gave me lots of tips on what to do in Rome. There was also an abundance of tourist books and maps available in the apartment. Apartment was clean and bathroom fittings and kitchen very modern. It was very quiet being in residential area so was like a little haven after a busy day sightseeing. There is a piazza very close which was a gathering place for local families with a good little supermarket and Gelateria opposite the square. There are enough trattorias and restaurants close to apartment and piazza to eat somewhere different for a week or more plus a choice of bakeries. It was very close to bus stops (one being about 30 seconds walk and the other no more than 60 seconds). The metro station was also close but the bus service has very good coverage of Rome. The Colosseum was about 20 minutes walk through a pleasant neighbourhood and past Circus Maximus and Palatine Hill before reaching the Colosseum. Also the 75 bus service stops right beside the Colosseum if you don't feel like walking. It is easy to get to wherever you want to go with the number of bus routes available close to the apartment. Although it seemed far away at first from looking at the map in reality if you are a good walker then once you familiarise yourself it would be easy to walk or walk/bus to almost every part of central Rome. The apartment was fully stocked with everything you needed for cooking and the bathroom had everything you needed including the important hair dryer. An elevator made it easy to access the apartment and the interior of the building is immaculate.

Tolle Wohnung in schöner Umgebung

Perfekt!

Von der ersten Kommunikation bis zur letzten Verabschiedung war alles perfekt! Alle Bilder und Angaben sind sehr realistisch. Paola war uns eine sehr rührende, freundliche und umsichtige Vermieterin. Wir waren begeistert!! Die Reise zum 18.Geburtstag war ein voller Erfolg... Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral und doch ruhig im Wohngebiet. Gut zu Fuß oder schnell mit oeffentlichen Verkehrsmittel - von hier kann man die ewige Stadt nur genießen! Die Wohnung selbst besticht durch Sauberkeit, Gemütlichkeit und einer großen Liebe zum Detail. Hier fehlt es wirklich an nichts und übertrifft alle anspruchsvollen Erwartungen. Es gibt nur etwas, was mich traurig macht: Ich wäre gern zu Silvester mit meinem Mann wiedergekommen- leider ist die Wohnung da schon belegt... Lieben, herzlichen Dank für alles, Paola! Ein kleines Juwel in Testaccio

Wir waren begeistert von der gepflegten, charmant und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Wohnung, die sehr ruhig in Richtung des Innenhofes gelegen ist. Testaccio ist ein kleines Dorf für sich und wäre man nicht in Rom, müsste man das Viertel nicht verlassen: Weinbars, Pizzerien, Eisdielen, ein Markt und sogar ein Bio-Supermarkt sind innerhalb von fünf Minuten erreichbar! Paola ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin, die sich viel Zeit nimmt, um auch ‚Neulingen‘ in der Stadt eine Orientierung zu bieten. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

Good location

As our host explained, there is almost everything you need located in this neighborhood. Restaurants, bakeries, markets, pharmacy and gelateria - and the wine/liquor shop. It is close to stops for the bus, the tram, and a short walk to the metro. The unit may be small, but it is well laid out. Our only problem was fitting my 6’4” husband in the shower

I'm proud living and renting in Testaccio neighborhood: quite, familiar, cosy, really Roman and genuine, With all the services we need (supermarkets, banks, popular and open market, pharmacy shops, genuine bakeries, organic food, take away food and well reputed groceries shops). Nearby all the public transports: bus+metro (tube)+train station. All the main touristic sites are reachable by an easy walking.
