Lage, Lage, Lage! Wenn Sie einen Platz im Herzen der Innenstadt von Austin suchen, brauchen Sie nicht weiter zu suchen. Mit viel Platz für Gruppen, 1 gesichertem Parkplatz und der Möglichkeit, alles zu Fuß zu erreichen, ist das Austin Standard ein idealer Ort, um bei Ihrem nächsten Besuch in Austin, Texas, zu Hause anzurufen.

Der Standard verfügt über 3 Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss. Die Master-Suite verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett und ein eigenes Bad mit Dusche. Die anderen Zimmer auf der unteren Ebene verfügen über Queensize-Betten und es gibt ein weiteres Badezimmer mit einer Dusche über der Badewanne. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich ein Schlafzimmer mit 2 Queensize-Betten sowie ein Schlafsofa auf dem Flur. Das Badezimmer verfügt über eine Dusche und einen Whirlpool. Insgesamt ist die gesamte Fläche ca. 1.500 Quadratmeter groß, sodass genügend Platz für Unterhaltung vorhanden ist.

Alle Schlafzimmer haben Fernseher, und das Wohnzimmer hat einen großen Bildschirm, der aus jedem Winkel betrachtet werden kann. Kabelfernsehen ist ebenso vorhanden wie kostenloses Wi-Fi. Es gibt einen Holzkamin, eine Wet Bar, einen Balkon mit Blick auf die San Jacinto Street und den Frost Tower sowie eine voll ausgestattete Küche und einen Kühlschrank mit Eismaschine.

This condo is old and not well kept. The rooms were dirty and there were stains on the furniture. Also, there are no elevators in the building so make sure stairs are not an issue for anyone. I will definitely never stay here again. Only good thing is the location right downtown. Carmen was also very nice but it did not make up for the poor condition of the rooms.

Nice location

The property has a great location and is spacious. Parking directions are confusing and it is harder than it should be to get questions answered. Recommend having one number to call or text that connects to someone who can answer questions in a timely fashion.

The perfect place to stay in downtown Austin!

Recently hosted my cousin's bachelorette party in downtown Austin, and stayed here. Simply put, the property is fabulous! Location: right in the middle of everything and within walking distance to restaurants and bars galore! The space: It is beautiful with lovely finishes and amenities to make the stay feel special. Comfortably slept 10 women. The company that you rent from is over the top helpful and polite. They provided all details needed to help plan your stay- everything from transportation from the airport to the perfect dinner or dancing hot spot, Onyx hotels helped me plan it all! We really enjoyed our weekend and this condo made it complete!

The place really needs a thorough cleaning. Plus, the bathroom upstairs is missing a cabinet door. You should provide more hangers- not used ones that came from the dry leaner. The closet upstairs has the shelf resting on the shower rod. Hard to hang clothes. Kitchen could use more glasses and silverware.

No Hot water third Bathroom

I would like to express my disappointment regarding an unresolved issue during my recent stay at your condominium, which concluded on Saturday, July 26. While the spaciousness and downtown Austin location were excellent for our meetings, and the AC worked fine, we encountered a significant problem with the hot water in one of the upstairs bathrooms that was not handled appropriately.I initially contacted the manager via email at 7:10 AM on July 24 to report that there was no hot water in an upstairs bathroom and that the iron in our facility was not working. Although a maintenance crew replaced the iron on July 24, the hot water issue remained unresolved. I sent another email at 6:49 PM on July 24, reiterating that there was still no hot water in the upstairs bathroom. On July 25, I emailed again at 11:55 AM. The manager responded, stating that the issue had been escalated and a supervisor would handle it. However, at 5:50 PM, there was still no hot water in the upstairs bathroom. I then called and spoke with the manager, informing her that the third bathroom still lacked hot water. She claimed her crew had fixed it and possessed videos showing steam from the shower. I requested these videos, as lukewarm water does not generate steam, making her claim seem impossible. I also suggested bringing in a professional plumber and charging them for the service, but I received no response to this request.Upon checking out on Saturday, July 26, the third bathroom still did not have

We’re sorry to hear that you feel your experience did not meet expectations, but we would like to clarify the steps we took to address your concern. After your initial call, our maintenance team visited the condo and confirmed that all six faucets, including the kitchen, were producing hot water. They reset both the breaker and the hot water heater at that time. There is only one hot water heater for the condo, and as we explained, if multiple guests are using hot water at the same time, it can temporarily reduce the temperature until the tank refills. At your request, we returned the following day to test again. We ran the hot water until the tank was empty, returned two hours later after it had refilled, and tested for a third time. In all instances, the fixtures—including the upstairs shower—heated to normal hot water temperature. To fully document the process, our team recorded a two-minute video showing the shower running until steam was visible. Due to file size, we were unable to send that video via email as you requested. After three separate service visits in two days confirming no equipment malfunction, and given the repeated reports that did not align with our findings, we have flagged this matter with VRBO for further review. We take all guest concerns seriously, but we also have to ensure accurate and fair reporting for the protection of our property and future guests.

Great Location, but not as pictured.

We stayed for two nights over a busy weekend in Austin, so there were not a lot of choices for lodging. Based on the photos, we did not expect extreme luxury, but the difference was clear. The photos must have been taken quite a while ago, as the place is much dingier than they show. The furniture doesn't match what is shown, some of it is stained (the dining room bench, for example), and the couch cushions have seen much better days. The place did not seem to have been cleaned very well before our arrival, either. We had planned for our stay in Austin to be spent mostly outside of the lodging, so as a crash pad for our large group, this place worked fine. Had we been intending to stay there for more of the time, I think we would have been more disappointed by the differences from the photos to the actual experience. One thing that we did appreciate was that the "chores" they expected us to do at checkout were not too extensive. Overall, this place worked for what we needed but I don't think we would stay again.

Location and communicate were great!

Excellent location and communication. The unit was in good condition and clean, however, the floors should have mopped clean. They were vacuumed clean, but not good walk around in bare feet. We would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay with a large group!

Overall, it was a great experience. The host was very organized prior to the stay so we knew exactly how to enter the building and where to find everything. The house was also stocked with kitchenware, toilet paper, extra towels, etc. The apartment is gorgeous and spacious - it was perfect for a big group new to Austin because it is within walking distance to Rainey, 6th and other popular locations. Had a great balcony as well! My only piece of feedback for the host would be to have a more flexible check in time (ie: if the apartment is vacant prior to a stay, the group can check in at 12pm vs the normal 3pm time). Makes it easier to coordinate travel! Highly recommend!

Great location for a bachelorette!

We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend with 10 girls and it was perfect for our needs! GREAT location - walk to everything downtown (E 6th & Rainey St.) and it's right across the street from a Marriott with a cab stand if you do need to travel further. The place was spacious with plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably, get ready for nights out (3 bathrooms was a plus) and hang out in the open living space. All basic amenities were provided and the place was very clean. They were also very accommodating about early check-in and responsive if we had questions or needed anything. I would definitely stay here again!!

Austin Standard is Austin Awesome!

This was our 1st VRBO rental so I was skeptical at first. The Property owner, and property manager both welcomed us with open arms from start to finish. The rental contract was well stated and concise. The condo was exactly as described, and its more comfortable and roomy than the pictures show. Very clean and well maintained, and has everything you might need for an enjoyable stay. It is within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and eat in Austin, and the bicycle rentals took us to the places further away. We had 8 adults and a toddler there for 9 days....with plenty of room to spare. We had a fabulous time!!!!

Huge apartment in the heart of downtown

We had a great time staying here for a few days. Slept six of us easily. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and they had plenty of towels to use. We didn't really use the dishes but it had the basics you would need. Walking distance to 6th street and there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Highly recommend this apartment.

First, the location is great if you are looking for walking distance to 6th street and most of the other main downtown attractions.... which we were. This is what drew us to the property and it delivered. The condition of the unit was run down and clearly this is in need of some significant maintenance. For example, when you open the dishwasher, the whole thing about falls out of the cabinet as it isn't screwed in. Trim work was pulling away from the walls (in spots) caulking needed, etc.. If you can't sleep through noise, then choose another place. The tennants were fine, but the street noise was LOUD. At times I had to check if the windows were open (which they weren't) as it sounded as if cars on the street were driving through the bedroom. Other items of note included hardly any glasses, getting upstairs could be difficult for some, toilet lids wouldn't stay up, etc... Nothing very significant, but it all added up and was surprising given the price of the place. Given all of the construction in Austin, I would imagine there are better choices. Especially if you are flexible on location.

Darren, I am very sorry that you did not feel the accommodations were up to your standards. I was unaware of your concerns, as you never contacted us or stated that you had any issues prior to this review. I would have been happy to assist in any way I could. I am still happy to, and will reach out to you privately. We perform regular maintenance on the condos, but sometimes it is harder to get in and do work during especially busy times. In the case of your reservation, I do see that it was stacked on top of two prior reservations without a break, and maintenance was not able to enter the space for approximately 15 days. I realize that not all of your concerns would have been alleviated with a routine maintenance visit, but the simple things like tightening up loose toilet seats and replacing broken or lost glassware most certainly would have been tackled. We have also painted and made some other repairs in the space you stayed in since your departure, so I do not question that there were a few minor items that were on our "wear and tear" list to resolve.
